Featherdale provides a home to over 2,000 Australian native animals from more than 260 different species and is home to the world’s largest collection of Australian wildlife. You will find the largest collection of koalas in New South Wales, 3 open space enclosures filled with kangaroos and wallabies and experience encounters with many other iconic Australian animals. Including dingos, echidnas, wombats, bilbies, Tasmanian devils, reptiles and a stunning collection of birds from Australia and around the world.
Your first views of the dramatic cliffs and wilderness of the Jamison Valley change mood and colour throughout the day as the sun and clouds move overhead. We have access to incredible look outs in the Blue Mountains National Park which we decide on the day depending on weather conditions. Our guide will help you take some memorable photos!
The famous Three Sisters rock formation is one of the most iconic images in Australia. The views overlooking the Jamison Valley are incredible. As well as getting that classic photo, you'll hear the stories of the local Aboriginal legends.
The World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park covers over one million hectares of land to the west of Sydney and is an inspiring mix of rain-forest, canyons and tall forests. Your guide will lead you on an informative bush walk through this nature lover's paradise. You'll see colorful birds, unique native animals and the greatest concentration of eucalyptus diversity on the continent. Medium fitness is required and make sure to bring a bottle of water for the walk.

This trip far exceeded my expectations. We had a brilliant day and our tour guide Ronnie was incredible. Very passionate and enthusiastic about his role which was lovely to see. Went the extra mile throughout the day, offering his own personal recommendations. Good value for money and a perfect whistle stop tour of the blue mountains! Small group, perfect for families/ couples/ solo travellers. Ronnie is also a pro photographer in disguise and will ensure you get the best photo spots!
This trip ticked so many ‘Australia’ boxes - kangaroos, koalas, wallabies through to the Blue Mountains and the resplendent three sisters, waterfalls and nature walking in the rainforest. We loved every aspect and our guide, Ronnie, was super engaging, informative and fun. A brilliant introduction to all things Australia.
This was an amazing tour! Our guide Fernando was really kind and knowledgeable, and patient with us for the steep hike to the bottom of the waterfall and back. The wildlife park experience was also amazing, we got there early doors so beat the queues and had what felt like a private experience of the park. Overall a really great experience and good value for money for sure!
The trip was incredible! Our guide G was brilliant, so smiley and happy to talk and answer questions! The only negative would be the clarity of the pick up point as the building had two different sides.
Our guide Arana was brilliant, first class. She was knowledgeable, entertaining and enthusiastic . Arana responded brilliantly to the wishes of our group and was great fun. She made our trip and we will definitely want to have her as our guide again. The trip was excellent, full of great things to do and see. Highly recommend.
My wife and I found this tour breath taking, amazing and worth the cost. of course their isn't a good tour if you don't have the right tour guide for your audience. Our Tour guide Ronnie was professional, informative and made safety his 1st priority. Thank you Viator thank you Ronnie.
Tour was absolutely incredible! What made it better was our tour guide Ronnie! He was so funny and very knowledgeable. He knew exactly where to take us and to take us at the quieter times so it was busy! I would highly recommend and if you can ask for ronnie to be your guide then you know you’re gonna have a great day!
Had a great day at the Blue Mountains with our guide, Ronnie. Even as a local, the tour was super informative and he took us to really nice lookouts. Was able to get awesome pics :) Hike was also real nice and got to see a bunch of wildlife along the way. Thanks, Ronnie!
We had the most beautiful day yesterday with this company. The wildlife park was wonderful, with the ability to feed the animals roaming around. We had the best time, and we were even given little koala trinkets as a souvenir by Gil, our tour guide. Would love to give a special shout out to Gil, he was fantastic throughout the day very enthusiastic with lots of cool info to share with us, and overall an absolutely lovely guy who made our experience extra special. He took us on a little bush walk/hike through the blue mountains rainforest whilst the others chose to go on the gondola/train rides. He took us to his favourite viewpoints and we had lovely conversations and learned so much. Fantastic day with a fantastic guide! Very very happy girls.
That there was a three hour hike that I wasn’t aware of. Our talk guide was excellent was very well informed and knowledgeable and very accommodating.
Amazing !!! My friend and I had the best time. Highly recommend super nice staff and really cool tour!
The wildlife park was definitely my favorite. Unfortunately the weather didn’t agree that day regarding blue mountain and 3 sisters views, but that’s no one’s fault. The hike is more difficult than I expected with A LOT of steps. The guide blew past us all and didn’t give many breaks for people. The bus also broke down at the end. We were refunded for the train ticket back. If the day is clear, I’d say it’s worth it and recommend it, if rainy/foggy, probably not.
Brilliant day. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Weather was fantastic. Maybe look at weather forecast before booking. Our guide Ronnie was such good fun. Was so helpful and informative. Pointed us in right direction for best photo opportunities. Highly recommend 🥰
Despite the rain, the trip was worth doing. Our guide, Ronnie, was knowledgable and entertaining. We enjoyed the day.
Perfect day! Fernando was an incredible tour guide- knowledgeable, fun and so helpful! So many beautiful pictures were taken on this trip. Highlight was feeding the kangaroos! Just be aware that at the end, there were a lot of steps involved with some steep uphill climbs. However, the views were very worth it. Lovely day and again huge shoutout to our lovely tour guide for making it great!!
We had the pleasure of having Gil as our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We had the best time seeing Koalas and other animals at Featherdale then hiking the gorgeous blue mountains.
Sites visited were excellent. Be ready for a tough hike though when you get to the waterfall. Our guide/driver made it easier and fun for us - a great guy!!!
Our trip to the Blue Mountains was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. The day was perfectly planned, taking us through some of the most breathtaking spots in the region, including Wentworth Falls, a relaxing lunch stop in Katoomba, the iconic Three Sisters, and the incredible Olympic Rock lookout (my personal favourite!) Each stop had its own charm, but the Blue Mountains themselves truly lived up to the hype — the vast scenery, dramatic cliffs, and that signature blue haze made every viewpoint feel special. Olympic Rock was a real standout, offering absolutely stunning panoramic views that felt almost surreal. One of the biggest highlights of the day was our visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park. Getting the chance to feed wallabies and kangaroos up close was such a unique and memorable experience — something that really made the trip feel special and personal. A huge part of what made the day so enjoyable was our tour guide, Arana. From start to finish, she was fantastic — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly very knowledgeable about the area. Not only did she remember every person’s name and made connections with everyone but she also shared best lookout locations and so many interesting insights throughout the trip. Her passion for Blue Mountains was infectious! Overall, this was a beautifully balanced trip filled with stunning landscapes, unique wildlife encounters, and excellent guidance. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the best of the Blue Mountains in a single day. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
Arana was the perfect guide for our Blue Mountains trip. The time spent at each location felt just right—never rushed, but always moving at a comfortable pace. She shared meaningful insights about how Aboriginal peoples respect the land, and I appreciated her honesty in explaining that some stories cannot be shared without permission. That added a level of authenticity and respect to the experience. She also gave fascinating explanations about how wildfires have shaped the landscape and how native plants have been used over time, which really deepened my appreciation for the area. At 72 years old and visiting from Florida, I found the “moderate” hike a bit more challenging than expected—but Arana was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. She found me a beautiful viewing rock where I could sit and take in the scenery while the younger members of the group scrambled down to the falls. Overall, it was a memorable and well-balanced experience, made even better by Arana’s knowledge, care, and respect for the land.
This was a great day! The Featherdale Wildlife Park was excellent and a must see if you love animals. I chose the Scenic World option for this tour, so my lunch was included. The food was good, and the park was a lot of fun. I especially liked the gondola ride past Katoomba Falls. Guil was my guide and he is wonderful. So friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this tour.
Giu was amazing tour guide and friendly lad, Breathtaking sights and nice hikes.
Arana was our guide and she made this day an exceptional experience. We loved the intimacy of the size of the group and Arana not only drove us but gave us loads of interesting information with a bit of banter as well! Her lunch spot recommandation was excellent and without her mentioning it we would have missed going to the Sydney Fish Market on our return to Sydney at the end of our fabulous day! Great trip not to be missed, every penny worthwhile!
Excellent tour and our driver was really friendly and knowledgeable. She made the trip very enjoyable.
I think overall this tour is for a younger crowd. The overview and waterfall both include substantial walks/hikes down paths/steps which are easy enough to go down, but then you have to go back up! The falls we could see from the top did not look impressive enough to venture down, so we skipped. The animal park was nice, and the stop in the little town for lunch was decent. I think other tours with less walking would have been a better pick for us.
This was advertised as a maximum of 20 guests; we had 26. The guide was so far ahead we couldn't hear and very few stops to admire the scenery. Arana also told us to hike to the 3 sisters view but the viewing area was actually better. She never described why 3 sisters was important. I had to Google it.
This was the best day! The wildlife park in the morning is incredible, giving you a chance to get up close with some native Australian wildlife. Then the hikes, waterfalls and views were unreal all day. We had Arana as our tour guide and she was amazing, very knowledgeable about the area & very entertaining throughout the whole day (enhanced the tour hugely). Many thanks! Charles & Felicity
I had the most amazing experience today on this tour with Arana as the guide. I am traveling solo and was nervous I wouldn’t get to socialize, but there were a ton of other solo travelers, and even the ones not solo traveling were very friendly. Everyone in the group had different backgrounds which made it super fun to get to know everyone. We got picked up at a convenient location and made our way to featherdale wildlife park. I didn’t know what to expect but it exceeded everything. We were able to get up close with many of the animals! After that, we made our way to our hike. The hike was moderately difficult, but Arana took us on a route that allowed us to see so many amazing things that I forgot we were hiking 3 miles. Once we made it to the trickier part of the hike, we had the option to continue down to the bottom of the waterfall or stay at the top of the stairs. I was nervous to go down but decided to anyway. It was worth the energy! I have never seen such beautiful views. After the hike, we made our way to Katoomba for lunch which we did on our own. May of us went to the same restaurants and got to socialize some more. Finally, we made our way to the three sisters. This was a great view, but after seeing them, we made our way back. 10/10 tour. Truly recommend to anyone that is capable of a moderate hike.
Excellent tour. A full minibus of 26 mixed age, mixed nationalities, was ably led by our driver/guide. Great information at each stop, and a really good hike along the trail…
It does involve hiking (it is why I selected it) on very well maintained trails. I had over 16,000 steps. Our guide, Ronnie was great, entertaining and knowledgeable. I'm 76 and did ok. My wife did not want to take all of the walks and Ronnie always was there to accommodate her. Great job.
Travelers aged 60 years old and older must be strictly warn not to go down to the water falls because its pathways are not developed yet and very rough with no handrails most of the stairs so it’s very risky to go down and go up again for an equivalent of 60 storeys building. This is really not a good tour for elderly people.
It was an early start at 7:15 AM and Tobias was there on time. The bus was full. We had a great visit at the zoo. Had all the Australian animals in it. They were plenty of restroom stops. The three sisters view was amazing. I actually hiked there 20 years ago. Next step was lunch in Kootomba. Tobias recommended fish and chips place that had fresh New Zealand cod. Those that had it loved it and it was very good. I had a hamburger and it was outstanding. It was a double-decker and the chips were good too, and then we went to hike. It’s a long ways down there. I didn’t quite make it as 72 and my vacation is just starting and my knee was hurting so my husband and I climbed back up and there were 275 steps and we didn’t even go all the way down so if you’re going to do that waterfall hike you better be in shape. It was a lovely day and we really enjoyed it. We highly recommended it.
Wonderful experience. Our tour guide "Ronnie" was the best! Even though the weather was a little sketchy, he made sure we were able to have the best day!
Nature has a way of calming the sole and the Australian wilderness on Blue Mountain is especially beautiful. If you love to walk this tour will amaze you.
Very informative pleasant day. Tour guide Gil extremely knowledgeable and made the trip most enjoyable. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the sites of the Blue Mountains
Our tour guide Guil was amazing! He was really informative and knew so much about the Blue Mountains, he was really friendly and had positive vibes all day. The tour itself was great, the featherdale wildlife park had lots of Australian animals you could see. The walk around the Blue Mountains was also great, there were lots of steps which is something to be mindful of. Definitely take snacks as no lunch is provided but there are lots of cafes and lunch spots where you can get food during the tour.
Enjoyed the whole day. From the pick in the city. Comfortable bus ride Feeding the animals And views of the blue mountains
The view and the hike were very good. However, it was very steep trail going down to the Wentworth water falls. We had a nice driver/ tour guide whose name is Guil. He was very kind, always smiling, told us stories about Blue Mountains, helped one of us who did not feel well on the way hiking up. We had great experience. Thank you, Guil.
Some steep walking, fantastic views. Guide Ronnie was entertaining and knowledgeable and adjusted the timing to best advantage as we had a couple of rain showers. Visited a great little zoo and plenty of time for lunch
We had an excellent 10 hour tour with Irna as our driver! She was so informative and friendly and did not rush us during any of our stops. We loved the Featherdale Animal Park and feeding the Wallabies and Kangaroos 🦘The hike in the Blue Mountains was fabulous and something I would recommend to anyone visiting Sydney. Lunch at the Yellow Deli was delicious too. I’ve visited over 50 countries and have done lots of tours and Irna is #1 in my opinion! Thank you so much for a wonderful day!
Was such a nice day and our tour guide, G, was amazing!
G was amazing; he was so well educated on everything and was able to answer all our questions. He was an amazing guide would recommend the trip.
Featherdale Wildlife zoo was an absolute highlight - to be able to get so close to kangaroos and koalas was incredible. Our waterfall hikes were majestic as well. Our guide was kind and a skilled driver, but couldn’t tell you anything deeply about the sites you’re seeing, so be prepared to do some self learning if you care to know more.
The tour was very well organized, the tour guide Fernando was very friendly and took care of everyone of the group. Even though the weather wasn‘t very good, we had an amazing day. There were only 20 people in our group, that was great.
Our thanks to Ronnie Smith our driver/tour guide/comedian for the outstanding day trip. We were made welcome and felt looked after. The trip took us to wildlife park, blue mountains scenic locations for photos, we managed to get two walks so had a great day.
Thank you Arana for a wonderful day in the Blue mountains! Your knowledge, helpfulness AND humor really made the day special for my wife and I. (and a huge thanks to the crew for rescuing my walking stick.) CHEERS! Your trip was the perfect way to experience the area. I highly recommend this tour.
Great activities. G was a great host and tour guide. He provided a wealth of information. Be prepared for lots of stairs during the hike.
The guide had a great sense of humor and provided information about the area's history and an educational hike in the Blue Mountain.
Gil did a great job narrating and driving our van. He showed us the awesome Blue Mountains and took us on the most beautiful hike with rock formations, waterfalls and many different plants. Gil was full of information about everything we saw. This was fun and a very worthwhile excursion! We highly recommend Gil’s excursion.
The lady leading our tour was wonderful and very funny as she talked us through everything we were seeing. We had a great playlist and she helped us get the best photos!
