I had a fantastic time on the Manly Beach & Sunset Cruise tour with Bonza Bike Tours. We rode to many breathtaking scenic lookouts and beaches in 4 hours. And our guide John is fabulous: very friendly and enthusiastic. Throughout the tour, he told us interesting information and stories, such as on the history of Manly and about the different wildlife in Australia. And he made sure we rode safely by giving very good instructions and by looking out for our small group of riders. I strongly recommend this scenic bike tour. I enjoyed seeing many amazing scenic lookouts that I wouldn't have been able to cover by walking within 4 hours.

The staff were amazing kind and funny thank you Jimmy and John. We did the Manly route and it was for intermediate. Skill level. It has 5 steep hills and in our opinion a pretty challenging portion near the barracks with sand loose large size gravel and hills and downslopes. Thankfully we upgraded to e-bikes. recommend the skill level be raised. One of the participants was an unskilled rider with a bike too large and heavy for them. We spent our ride working to avoid collisions and helping them with their bike The views were amazing both scenic vistas and architecture of homes On weekends some of the paths around the beaches are closed to cyclists which meant a significant chunk of the time was spent pushing the bike. Recommend a either advising customers of this before hand or using an alternate path on weekends A little administrative issue our ticket showed a 1430 start when the actual tour started at 1530. We arrived early at 1415 it meant we lost an hour of exploring time, if this was a time change issue because we bought our tickets months in advance it should be sorted out
Tour covered all the highlights of Sydney while getting some exercise.. Great way to get your bearings on the first day.
Paul, our tour leader, was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! His level of expertise & humor were off the charts! With his extremely positive and light-hearted disposition, he made the journey incredibly fun & exciting! By the time the tour was over, we felt like we probably knew more about the area than the locals! That’s just how knowledge Paul was! We would HIGHLY recommend this tour to all our friends! What a brilliant experience; one we remember fondly! Thank you, Bonza Bike Tours, for hiring such excellent!
We absolutely loved our bike tour around Sydney, including the Harbour Bridge! Andry was an enthusiastic and super knowledgeable guide who shared his love for the city with lots of engaging stories and a surprising feel of being both in the thick of things and off the beaten path! We highly recommend the whole experience!
Paul was an excellent tour guide. Learned a lot about Sydney and enjoyed the ride. Great views from the bridge!
What a fantastic way to explore Sydney! This bike tour was the perfect introduction to the city—a little history, lots of highlights, incredible sights, and plenty of ideas for places we want to come back and explore! The small group made it even more fun, with opportunities to meet fellow travelers along the way. Our guide, Jay, was terrific—knowledgeable, engaging, and full of great stories! And who doesn’t love a bike tour that includes a stop at the Lord Admiral for a little refreshment? Bonus points for being able to upgrade to an e-bike! My knees definitely appreciated the extra boost, and I could just relax and enjoy the ride. Great sights, great company, a fantastic guide, and a pub stop—what’s not to love? Highly recommend!
Paul, the tour guide, was excellent. Full of knowledge and enthusiasm
Michael, our guide, was extremely pleasant and funny too. He went out of his way to show us around. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Had a terrific time with guide Joe! It was such a fun way to see the city and meet other travelers. Great activity for a solo traveler! Joe did a great job guiding the tour and was a super cool dude!
Michael was a fantastic guide!! He was able to give us a fabulous day despite the rain! Gave us helpful hints about getting around Sydney and places to eat!!
We had a fantastic bike tour with Stuart. It was such a great way to see this amazing city from so many different locations and take in some incredible views along the way. Stuart was a brilliant guide - friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interesting to listen to. He made sure everyone was looked after throughout the tour and kept the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. A really fun way to explore the city and see so much more than you would on foot. I would definitely recommend this tour!
We had an awesome time with our guide Jay and the entire group. Jay loves his job and you can tell. We got all kinds of great information on the history of Sydney and the riding itself was pretty easy. This is a great way to kick off the day and our time here. Well worth it.
We had a fantastic time with this bike tour group. The staff was wonderful, in particular, our guide, John, was fun, professional, and very knowledgeable. The lunch sandwiches were also delicious. Highly recommend.
Absolutely loved this bike tour. Every time I visit a new place, bike tours are they way to go and this one did not disappoint. The staff and our guide, Michael, was super friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. They made sure my mom, who was a little older, was comfortable. The 2.5 hour tour was the perfect amount of time if you're looking for highlights of Sydney. Highly recommend!
I had a great time! A very Nice Guy!
The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so it rained the entire day...we had to end our tour a little early but they were very accommodating to our needs.
What a perfect overview of Sydney! The route was very well planned and Joe was a great host. Seeing all the big sights and background info in a short time was great to orient ourselves with the city and make plans for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!
A beautiful and informative 1/2 day tour of the city. Packed full of history and proselytising with your guide Tony, if you’re lucky - and he’s not treading the boards of The Opera House. Lots of deeply respectful historical bon mottery from First Nation history through the arrival of Captain Cook right up to the architecture of today. Thoroughly entertaining plus you keep fit at the same time.
I have learned that a bike tour is the BEST way to see a new city if you only have a few days there. We booked the 4 hour tour for our party of 9 (including 5 children ages 8-12) on the first full day we had in Sydney. This allows you to see areas of town you would like to return to and explore. There were some definite hilly parts but also plenty of flat and downhill. I have to admit that I wished I had booked one of their e-bikes for the extra $40 but ultimately was proud of myself for getting the exercise on the regular bike. Plus, on a bike tour, you make several (rest) stops where the guide gives you fun facts about the landmarks around you. We all did great and were proud of the kids especially my 10 year old daughter who has only just recently learned to ride a bike. Anyway huge shout out to PAUL who was our guide and did an excellent job letting us know what to expect, keeping us safe, and giving us our history lesson. It can't be easy to bike and do all of that talking to a big group (our group had 16 people total). Thanks Paul! Do yourself a favor and book a harbourview room at the Nearby Sebel Quay just a short walk away in The Rocks. This is very convenient to the bike tour. Your view from this hotel will have sweeping views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House that will leave you speechless. These two bookings alone will make your stay in Sydney!
An amazing experience with a great tour guide “Michael”. 15 bikes in total with children and adults and families from England, France , Germany & Holland. The tour was so informative and Michael went out of his way to show us unique & interesting things en route , always checking in with the riders if they were ok with the pace, checking numbers , pointing out all the sites and giving great recommendations for things to do for all ages . A first class experience that I would strongly recommend for anyone - especially at the start of a Sydney holiday as you will learn and see soo much . Thank you for an amazing trip . Kev & Andy 🏴
We had the best afternoon doing the Express Tour with our kids! The biking is easy, you see all the iconic Sydney spots, and your learn a lot along the way while keeping active. Don't hesitate, book this for your trip to Sydney
Great guide. Knows a lot about Sydney and history. Very good bikes
We do a lot of bike tours when we travel, and this one might be one of our favorites. You’ll get a really good lay of the land, which in Sydney is fascinating because of the many neighborhoods within the city. We got really good commentary from our guide, Danny, who also did a really good job of keeping everyone safe a few times we rode on busy streets. We ended up biking 18 km, some of that is uphill, so you also get your heart rate up. We would recommend this for people who are at least moderately fit.
The Bonza bike tour video was key in convincing three people in our party to take a chance on this tour. My 15 person group included me and my sister's families (11 people ranging in age from 14 to 51) and 4 others. The depiction of the tour is accurate. The bike trail is paved entirely. While there are a few short, low-incline hills, Jay, our incredible Aussie tour guide prepped us well and there was option (without judgment) to get off the bike to walk it up for whatever part of the hill could not be managed. I loved the ability to cover so much ground in the time we were on the tour. The entire tour is beautiful and Jay is an exceptional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable storyteller/tour guide. Probably the best I've experienced of all the tours I've taken. He was easy to understand and delivered the information passionately! He is encouraging and attentive. Sydney's grounds are clean and beautiful. What a wonderful city to explore by bike. We were on such a high after our tour and the staff of the tours could not be more friendly and helpful in navigating the city. Great restaurant and local sites resources. Thank you so much!
Many years ago when I visited Munich I did Mike’s bike tour. I loved it so much every time I go on vacation to a big city and I’m looking for things to do, I also look into whether or not there are bike tours. This was the only thing I booked for us to do in Sydney in advance and I am so glad I did. Paul was an amazing guide. We didn’t sign up for a private group but because it is the winter season here, we got lucky and it was just our family of four on the bike tour. It was fantastic. The amount of ground we covered all over the city was so incredible. Places we would have never known to go to and wanted to go back on our own later. I highly recommend this tour. Our bikes came with a front sack so we were able to put a wallet, camera and water bottle while we hiked but did not need to carry our backpacks. There are refill stations along the ride so make sure to bring a water bottle.
Return customers. Nice weather nice cycling around CBD. Though due to vivid Sydney ceratin routes are closed down. But great trip to know Sydney
Really enjoyed this tour. Riding through Sydney Harbour and across the Harbour Bridge was a great experience. The guide was friendly, informative, and kept the pace comfortable. Saw a lot more of the city than I would have on foot.
My husband and I arrived in Sydney in the morning from the states. We signed up for an afternoon bike tour. We were very fortunate to have Michael as our tour guide. He had a broad range of knowledge and we learned so much about the history of Sydney in one afternoon. Highly recommend this tour with Bonza bike tours. It was our first tour in Australia and ended up being our favorite. I was amazed when I went back to the hotel after the tour and looked at our list of everything we wanted to see and we saw most everything on our list and many areas we wouldn't have known about without Michael's great tour. The electric bikes we rode were well maintained. Michael provided water and we even got to sample a good treat in Chinatown. Great exercise, great tour and great way to combat jet lag.
Today we had an absolutely awesome experience with Bonza Bike Tours. Jay was our guide and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. His family tree has ties back to the colonial days and also has aboriginal ties. He was the all-Australian guy, only missing wrestling crocodiles, at least he didn’t tell us about that. His knowledge was extensive and his easy going way of presenting made it a pleasure to listen to. We ran in to a bit of rain but then it abated and all was well. My wife and I absolutely loved the tour, which was our very first excursion on our trip to Sydney. It SHOULD BE everyone’s for local knowledge of the area as well as the wonderful history of this beautiful city. We simply couldn’t be happier with having chosen Bonza Bike Tours.
Great very informative guide, saw Sydney from bike, learned very interesting history of Australia and Sydney
We have always liked seeking out a Cycle tour when we visit a city. Sydney was the best we have ever experienced . A great city shown to us by a great guide (Michael). Hesitation The bikes bonbon chores were quite frankly exceptional. You know when you go to a Cycle horse shop and they have trek bicycles that you know that they don’t skimp on quality our group use the mixture of pedal power, and E bikes and all of the kit was quite frankly brilliant I’ll guide Michael Gavin excellent account of the history of the city and took us to some great places for photographs. We even ended up at the oldest hotel in Sydney for a quick pint, which was much appreciated and needed halfway through the trip, recommend this trip highly enough
Really great experience; gave us the a pretty solid sense of how the city was laid out and ideas for things to do later. Tony was our guide and he was tremendous. We especially appreciated his knowledge of indiginous culture, geography, and history - as well as fun facts about architecture, neighborhoods, and attractions. We were in a group that probably ranged in age form 8 to 50, and our guide made sure everyone was safe. I can't say the bike seats were very comfortable, and my gears were a little reluctant to shift easily. But I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a nice overview of the city.
We very much enjoyed the Manly Beach bike tour. Nice bikes and helmets. Our guide Michael was excellent. Kind and warm, funny entertaining and informative! He was also very good about safety and keeping the group together We had a small group of 6, so we were able to meet new friends and enjoy the ride together Seeing a different part of Sydney plus a ferry ride was a good extra. Michael finished up with some hidden gems in The Rocks Highly recommended
I had a wonderful time! Andre was one of the best tour guides I've ever had (and I've visited over 50 countries). I learned a lot of interesting things. This is an awesome way to get to know the city and burn a few calories at the same time.
This trip was a delightful experience and Jimmy was an amazing, experienced, knowledgeable and personal guide! Thank you Jimmy for an awesome experience!
Excellent classic tour of the city taking in all the major sights and some areas you wouldn’t see. Mike our guide was extremely knowledgeable and great fun. The group was from a variety of countries but Mike was inclusive and interesting. I can highly recommend this tour.
A really great tour with great views of the major sites. Learnt loads about the city. But no drop bears
We had the most fantastic and enjoyable bike ride around Sydney with Stuart and Joe. They are both very knowledgeable so we learned a lot about Sydney’s history and Australia’s history as we cycled from point to point. We stopped at iconic places but also sites that, as a tourist, we wouldn’t know to stop at which made the tour so worthwhile and gave us a great overview of Sydney. If you want to do a tour - get on a Bonza bike tour. It’s fun and enjoyable - and the drink midway at the oldest hotel in Sydney is another great reward! Thank you to you all.
Very comprehensive, plenty of stops, great history and info, guide was informative and respectful and bikes were in great condition.
Loved the 5 hour bike tour of Sydney! We ended up renting e- bikes and that worked out great. Jimmy did an awesome job of keeping us safe and showing us the sights of Sydney. It was particularly fun to ride over the Harbor Bridge- not just once, but twice!!
We had the very very best experience, our guide was Mike and he was amazing and made the tour so memorable and constantly made sure everyone was taken care of. A great way to get acclimated and learn about the city of Sydney while getting some exercise.
Great experience! Gave us a baseline to understand the layout of the city and we now know how to plan our subsequent moves
What an amazing bike tour!! We did the 5 hour Sydney Harbour Bridge Tour with Michael and Joe (who was in training). HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour. We are in Sydney for 4 days but would never have been able to cover all the sights and neighborhoods as we were able to do on this tour. Michael had a broad wealth of knowledge of the history and the present and was able to take us to many points of interest, have lunch in area with regular Australians. It was a pleasant day and an excellent workout. Joe was also very personable and will make a great guide. He made sure to take up the rear to keep us all together. Stu was organized, friendly, and offered water & a locker to store any items we did not want to bring with us. We even purchased some sticky candies from a local shop. Loved the fact that they incorporate indigenous fruit flavors. This tour will not disappoint!!
Took a 2 1/2 hour bike tour around Sydney. It’s a great way to see a lot of the famous areas in a short amount of time. Michael with @bonzabiketours was informative, funny and knowledgeable. This was an “easy” bike ride and for the most part it was. There’s a small section about five blocks uphill. The most challenging part was dodging pedestrians.
Well paced tour. E-bike available as an upgrade - most people managed without. Good guide who was mindful of everyone’s needs. I would recommend this tour.
Bikes were well maintained and very quiet. Michael, our guide, was fun and interesting. We visited all of the stops as planned, plus a few bonus things.
We were a small group led by Simon. He was an excellent and knowledgeable guide and although the weather was very changeable we had an amazing and memorable day. We did the 5 hour Sydney bridge ride and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you
We had a great time on this tour. The bikes were very good. My wife had an e-bike and mine was a regular one. Our guide took us to so many interesting places at a very comfortable pace. We even got to take photos from the middle of the bridge overlooking the opera house. We saw so much on this tour and will happily recommend it to others.
The difficulty of this tour is not properly conveyed. It is rated 1.5 out of 5, but it is more like a 3 out of 5. There are some significant hills on the tour, and we live in a flat, coastal area, so riding bikes uphill is not something we are used to. Nowhere does it mention that. The guy at the shop downplayed the hills a lot, and if we had gotten a more honest description of the tour, we would have done electric bikes. The tour overall just went on too long, and it always felt like you were riding so fast that you missed everything along the way, and the stop information was too much. A lot of the riding was on busy roads, and you were navigating around a lot, leaving no time to enjoy the city. We have done bike tours in at least 10 other cities around the world, and they are usually our favorite way to see a city, but this tour was not enjoyable at all.
