This was beautiful trip. I would recommend it & hopefully in the future they would let us drop off for a few minutes to take a pictures of the gorgeous beach.

Be aware of pick up point's. Get the route so you can track your bus. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Great. Fantastic. We always take a Hop-On. Hop-Off the day we step off the plane. We can sit back and relax after a long flight and we get a feel for the “lay of the land”
We had the 48 hour ticket. We took the red route around the city on day 1. The commentary is via a multilingual system so that everyone can understand what’s going on. The tour was informative and lasted around 1hour 45 minutes. The driver in this route was very good. He stopped at each planned stop on the tour and waited till people got off or on. The second day was the blue route. This route had a short tour of the city but was mainly headed to Bondi beach. This driver was terrible! He frequently passed through red lights and accelerated in a crazy manner past lines of traffic in order to get quickly to the junctions. He didn’t seem to stop at the tour points unless someone pushed the bell. We also found that the commentary was out of synch with our position so that it told you what stop you were at, after you had passed it!
Tour guide makes all the difference and he was great. Explained history of all areas and answered all questions. Great experience.
A super way to see Sydney and its environs made all the more special by the exceedingly warm welcome from Ying C2B who is a fantastic ambassador for the company.
Great way to experience Sydney. We have never been here before so we learned a lot and got to see a lot of places. We got to ride both routes and get out at several places.
Very worthwhile. Having so little time in Sydney a great way to see the area. Bondi Beach was especially scenic.
Informative and easy to use. Gave great tour of Sydney and worth the cost. Recommend for first timers like us
You have to wait a long time before the bus comes to pick you up. I didn't want to get off the bus for that reason. So didn't get to see things up front.
A great experience. I got the 2 day hopper. The first time I stayed on the red line to get a feel for the area, take pictures, relax and to think about what I really wanted to do. The rest was hop on hop off where I wanted. I only had time to ride the blue line, but it was an interesting tour. I’d do it again in any country, any city- it’s an inexpensive way to get where you want while learning about where you are!
The buses only run every 35 to 45 mins are are often late and get stuck in traffic. I ended up walking places instead since it was faster.
A great way to spend a day. Relaxing. At peak traffic time I think the drivers have nerves of steel and negotiated so well. Give yourself time for the full experience
Wonderful. One of the best hop on and off experiences I have ever had. Highly recommend. Learned a lot about Sydney and saw impressive sites.
I was a little disappointed as the commentary was behind the sites which meant we had gone past before we heard about it
Oh my gosh, the lady who helped us booked our tickets Vicki is the best! And the tour is totally worth it, it’s one of the best experience I’ve had in Sydney with my mum. Highly recommend!
It took us 30 years of traveling to discover Big Bus or any other sight seeing bus. We love it now! They were friendly, professional and so helpful. The narrating was very good!
Best way to tour the city and develop a plan for a deeper tour Easy access and great stopping spots to get down and tour
The recorded content is a bit light. The stops are given inadequate notice in the recording. More current info about areas visited wohkd be helpful, are there nearby places to eat, etc. The routes are long -- lots of space for more info.
Great way to see the all the sights of the city.
Inspite of getting some confusing / conflicting information, this was a great way to see a lot of Sydney. Apparently, the Hop on Hop off tour included the Hop on Hop off harbour tour as well as the Red and Blue lines. The extended night option was a bus tour offered 7 or 7:30 only. The bus operates 9-5 only. Anyway, this is a great way to cover distance and pick and choose.
Great way to see the city , the land marks and points of interest . We learned a lot about the City of Sydney from the narration of the tour guide
Very easy to find the stops. The narrative was very informative. The drivers are very nice in answering any Questions.
I love riding a big bus tours because I get to see everything that I wanna see and then I can hop on and off if I want to see it even in more detail.
Trip was awesome. My mother is in a wheel chair and it went very smoothly at all our stops.staff were very helpful. Adam at Stop #1 was excellent and even called ahead to make sure the next bus at 1A knew we were coming to change busses for our next route and that we had a wheelchair. The staff at all stops were outstanding!
It is always a great way to get to know a new city. Sydney has so many things to see. I recommend, however, on this particular bus the commentary is sparse and I felt there were many sights not described. Lots of interval music (repetitive). I kept asking, what’s that? Could be much more informative. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
It was a great way to see a lot of Sydney, save on cab/Uber fairs, and learn a lot about the city. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Sydney or anywhere the Big Bus Tours run, great value.
It’s great way to know the city! There are 3 different lines, one of them goes to Bindi beach and we spent 3 hours there beautiful beach. The only thing is the bus doesn’t come on time. It supposed to come every 35-45 minutes but people waited 1 hr 15 min.
Our family of 4 loved this bus, from the friendly Greek woman at Circular Quay who helped us with our ticket (I think her name was Vicki), to the wonderful bus driver, and the listening to the guide is amazing. We just wished we had used it more and were sad to miss the Bondi section. We will use this again when next in Sydney and recommend it to all our friends. We have visited Sydney many times and never done this experience, was worthwhile.
We took several different routes and got to see a lot of things. I was able to take some great pictures from the top of the bus. it started raining but the bus still did their routes. we just chose not to get off in the rain.
Great experience to help you navigate the area. Best way to travel in a city that is always buzzing with traffic
I think this bus could be useful and informative if you get a really early start, and if you want to just ride it around and get commentary about the city. But we mainly wanted it for the route out to Bondi Beach, and there was far too long between buses for it to be worth the money. Again, if you have a big day, get a really early start, and just spend the day riding around on the bus, it could be good, but I think otherwise just use the city buses to get around and explore on your own.
It was an overcast day and were given a poncho, much appreciated, as a frequent visitor to Sydney didn't think I'd find this of any value, but friends wanted to go. BOY WAS I WRONG., had the best tine. The commentary was insightful. Seeing the sights up high gave a hole new perspective and could aporeciate the architecture and history without street level bussel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Did red and blue route and will recommend to others, great value.
e’re from Melbourne and had just one day to explore Sydney with the kids, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect from the Big Red Bus. We decided to give it a go — and we’re so glad we did! We had an absolutely fantastic day seeing the sights of Sydney, and what made the experience even more special was our wonderful guide, Adam. Adam was incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He answered every question the kids (and us!) threw at him, shared fantastic local knowledge and stories, and you could genuinely see how much he loves Sydney and his hometown. The whole family had such a memorable day, and the Big Bus was the perfect way to see so much of this beautiful city in a short amount of time. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sydney — especially families! A huge thank you to Adam for making our day so enjoyable and memorable. You’re a star, Adam!
We took the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus and rode the Blue Line (Bondi Route), and it was a good deal for easily getting down to the coast. The open-top deck gave us great 360-degree views, and taking the Blue Line straight to Bondi Beach made traveling completely stress-free without worrying about parking. Flexible, convenient, and a great way to see the sights!
Suggested by a resident of the city who was hosting us and over 24 hours we did two of the routes (red and blue). Very pleasant staff at the stop we boarded both days and lovely driver. Very good information provided and good to have wi-fi and app available. Did feel the national anthem was started rather too many times - I still didn't catch the words! Would be good to have charging point in the seat.
The hop on hop off bus was really the only tour available. The optional harbor cruise was well worth it along with the night tour. The night tour included a live guide which made the tour much more personable.
We missed our night tour, the website had pick up location as 1 but when we finally reached customer service it was 1A. Being a real tourist, we could quickly find 1a . We will start again today.
Must see activity, it was good and full of explanations. 2 routes plus one extra route for night. Overall, good experience
This was a great way to see the entire city and get an overview of owe of the area. I would have liked more information about the stops but overall very good. There should be a way to tell the driver you want to stop. Sometimes the stops weee quick and if you were on the second level it did not seem like there was enough time to get off.
The tour is a great way to see all the city’s highlights in one convenient bundle. Our tour guide Lisa gave my group a personal tour. She was very helpful, cordial and helped us arrange transportation to the airport.
Having been to many cities and enjoyed the Hop on Hop Off buses to get the lay of the land I was keen to do the same here. I found the buses frequency variable and quite long, 20/30mins. I went on one about 2pm and with a 4pm finish I was hoping to be able to jump off at at least one stop and still get another bus back but with long wait times and a 45 min stop on change over of driver I was unable to jump off. It makes the 24hr ticket a bit pointless since you can only really use it for 7 hours in a day. We would need to buy an evening ticket to get in the light bus. The commentary would have been quite good by it was out of sync after our driver change over so we had passed somethings before they were mentioned. I ended up following our route on Google maps to get a better idea of what was around me rather than the audio. The location of the bus stops was also not very easy, even with the photos of the stops. Perhaps a pin drop or What Three Words type indicator would be easier especially with so many over passes in the city. All in all I wouldn’t do the tour again and with the Sydney normal buses being so good I would just stick to them and use Google maps and Trip Advisor to see what is around.
The fact that you can travel freely between the hours of 9am until 4pm are nice so don't get caught out like I did by being misled, in that it is sold as an "all day" pass. It is not.
Day 2 of our 48 hour pass, there was only 1 bus on route , so after A 1.30 hour wait we finally gave up along with many others , hop on and hop off , not a chance , I've done this in so many other citys and always had a fantastic time , sydney was a disaster
You can hop on off with ease start at any stop on the tour we started close to our hotel however buses start at 9 am from main hub and their first stops vary giving their time schedule we got picked up in the am at the wharf and had to wait til the buses made their stops. The app tracking the buses was spot on Wish we spent more time at Bondi beach- be mindful that they close spots the day before major event like the Sydney marathon … do this tour two days before or the day after
Easy, informative, best of both land and sea.
Once aboard the bus the ride was enjoyable and informative. The timetables and frequency of pick up times varied greatly than advertised, so it changed our plans about how many stops we could hop off.
I book online 30 August 2026 Sunday i book uber to be there on time 155 George st the Rocks when I arrive there 8:15am there is marathon race all street closed Nobody updates me new time and location in app it shows same meeting point and they don't have any number to talk I waste my 185 dollar for there stupidity Zero star.
Best decision to make to explore the beauty of Sydney. Covered the entire Sydney in 48 hours with best guide and support.
Laba the driver did not stop at a designated stop. We wanted to get off. He went through it without stopping.
