This tour, by Traditonal Custodian, superb guide, and exceptional human being Eric Brown, warmly welcomes people of all backgrounds and take you deeply into the world of aboriginal rock art, their cultural meaning, and their role in aboriginal culture today. This was a highlight of our entire stay in Australia. The van transfer from Sydney was smooth, we brought a picnic to share, and the day was enjoyed by our entire family group from age 8 to 80!
This is the most incredibly wonderful experience- how lucky I was to have thid special day of amazing knowledge and generosity of spirit in such a sacred place - this really is a must do for anyone local or tourist
sharing knowledge and making everything easy to understand. It was an extraordinary way to spend the day with my 81-year-old dad. It was our first smoking ceremony, making the experience even more meaningful. We were also lucky enough to see whales breaching and learned about how they travel in family groups and the importance of their social bonds. It was a truly unforgettable day filled with culture, nature, and incredible memories. Thank you for creating such a special experience that we will always treasure, highly recommend.
Took part in a tour with my workplace and we all enjoyed it so much!
Eric was extremely generous with his time, sharing personal stories and his connection to Country with everyone on the tour. Eric's storytelling was extremely genuine and relatable, leaving us very reflective and calm after the tour. The smoking ceremony in the cave felt very profound and calming for many of us.
Eric was an excellent tour guide who created an educational but also emotionally safe environment for everyone to share and process their thoughts and feelings. I learned a lot about Aboriginal history and the Aboriginal experience and I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Australia.
I really enjoyed learning about the Aboriginal communities in Australia through the engravings. Thank you Eric for sharing your story so openly and genuinely! I was able to connect with my inner self and reflect on power dynamics in Australia and the US.
Jay and Eric were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and generous in sharing their knowledge. If you're considering a tour that offers the opportunity to learn about Country, culture, and traditional bush tucker, I highly recommend it. The bush tucker tastings were a real highlight, and the experience was worth every penny. A fantastic and memorable day that I would happily recommend to others.
Today we experienced a wonderful walking tour with Eric Brown in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. Eric led us down some easy tracks through the beautiful bush to 3 ancient Aboriginal rock engraving sites. He shared with us his deep and at times his soulful interpretation of images, humans and animals, taking us back to much earlier times. It’s often said that this land, always was and always will be Aboriginal land. Today the truth of that was carved in stone in front of us to ponder.
I booked the Sydney south royal national park tour and it was my first cultural tour ever. I must say I’m glad I booked, my guide Eric was promptly on time , friendly and was incredibly open in regards to questions about indigenous culture, history and personal experiences. He made me feel welcome and unafraid to ask anything in regards to indigenous affairs. I experienced the smoking ceremony where I felt invited and encouraged to share my personal story to help feel connected to the land. Saw some incredible ancient carvings where Eric explained the teachings that they give to people with purpose to life. Would definitely come back and do another tour with Natcha.
Had a brilliant morning out at Ku-ring-gai with Eric for a team bonding and culture PD session. Can’t speak highly enough of the experience. Eric’s knowledge, expertise, and skill in guiding us across some remarkable sites was just outstanding. We’ll be back again for sure!
Did this tour with Eric on my last day in Sydney and so glad I squeezed it in. He's incredibly knowledgeable and such a lovely person to spend a few hours with. I learned so much about the history and culture of the area, and the rock engravings were a real highlight - we honestly had no idea they were even there. Eric took his time, answered all our questions, and made me feel fully present - I now know what it means to truly 'connect' to country. Easily one of the best things we did on the whole trip. Highly recommend!
This was a great experience to get out on country and learn some great insights to Indigenous way of life. Eric was great at giving all the participants time to reflect on self and also space for us to learn and share our own knowledge. Recommend this to anyone looking to further knowledge on indigenous culture.
When I was planning an out-learning experience for our teachers who were being trained in the Big Picture Learning Design, I was recommended Natcha Cultural Tours. From my first phone call to Eric, the process of organising the tours had been incredibly easy. Eric is very quick at getting back to you! We had 2 groups of 20 teachers across two separate timeslots and met at the La Perouse Museum, where Eric, Josh and Jay met the groups. We learnt about Eric's background and how he grew up at La Pa Mission, spent his days in the bay catching fish and swimming. We heard about some of the local dreaming stories and the significant history of the area. Jay gave us insight into the plant life around the area as he is one of the team at Indigi Grow. Josh, who works with youth justice, educated us on the challenges that young First Nations kids face and how education plays a massive role. This experience was one-of-a-kind. Eric, Jay and Josh did an incredible job at educating our teachers and answering all the questions we had. I will be booking with Eric again in the future and can't wait to work together soon.
Our day with Natcha Cultural Tours at Ku-ring-gai National Park was one of the best team events I’ve ever been part of. Eric, Josh and the team gave us a clear sense of the depth and continuing significance of First Nations culture, and also introduced us to the beautiful concept of Healing through Country, bringing it to life with examples that were powerful and tangible. It was amazing (and emotional) to feel so calm and connected as we explored together. From the smoking ceremony to the deep context shared around the engravings and the values they encourage, I came away not only having learnt a lot, but with a whole new perspective. The stories, their authentic explanations and the way they created a safe space for reflection made the whole day feel especially meaningful, we really felt part of their family! And hearing about the impact they are creating through Natcha Tong Nong Ga and the Ngabul Foundation meant the whole experience was even more poignant. Even if you’ve visited some of these sites before, I’d really encourage you to do it again with Natcha for a deeper connection to the land, the stories behind it and the lessons from the world’s oldest continuing culture that we can all learn from. Truly, truly unforgettable. I genuinely cannot recommend these guys and this tour enough!
We spent a great day with Eric and his team, being guided through Ku-ring-gai National Park and the incredible cultural sites within it. Eric and Josh shared stories with us at each site, exploring deep cultural history, and bringing thousands of years of culture to vibrantly to life. We also loved hearing about the inspirational work that is being done in Natcha Tong Nong Ga, Ngabul Foundation and Natcha Cultural Tours. Thank you Eric and Josh! This experience will truly help shape the way in which we understand First Nations culture and community in our business, we can't wait to catch up again soon!
