Sydney's Secret Bars Nightlife Tour

We Highly recommend this secret bar tour. Claudia took us to places we would never have found on our own. She made sure to include everyone in the conversation and took plenty of group photos.

Communication leading up to the tour was good, and our host, Jake, was friendly and did a great job. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel the experience offered good value for money. We’ve enjoyed similar bar tours in various cities around the world, and this was probably our least favourite. While there were some positives, overall the experience fell short of our expectations, particularly given the price.

Really enjoyed our pub crawl - we would never had found some of these bars - They were all excellent. Justin was a great host. Recommended.

Listen - Jake took us through an excellent tour of 4 bars in Sydney near the quay. Jovial fella that made the party feel at ease. We started off as 8 strangers but by the end all got to share a laugh and a good drink which is what it’s about. Great host and solid storytelling along the way.

Have been on nearly all the tours this company offers as I've recently moved back to Sydney after many years away. A great way to explore many hidden gems of bars in a wonderful city and love meeting new people along the way. Highly recommend. Ive been to quite a few of these as a solo participant and loved it. This time a brough an out of town friend and she loved it too.

Eddie was a fantastic tour guide, shared stories about Surry Hills and Oxford Street in an entertaining way, and was very engaging. Absolutely recommend this tour whether you're just passing through or have moved to Sydney. Will be back to these bars as well!

Best way to meet new people!! Claudia was amazing she was so welcoming!! She explained everything, and even got us drinks later which was amazing. I would recommend to anyone who wants to experience a Sydney night life, and meet new people.

Justin is the best guide ever. The tour was amazing. There was a lot of history shared, we discovered hidden bars which were disguised so well and Justin was there warm, kind and full of facts about Sydneys past.

Great tour. Great tour guide, Great tour company. I loved this tour. I believe it would be hard to beat local Source tours I’m from Sydney, live close by, yet still were introduced to great new bars and food venues!!

Enjoyed the tour conducted by Eddie very much! Eddie was entertaining, humourous, and did well with helping the group break the ice, which I thought was really important for such a tour. Would recommend and would definitely try out the other tours they conduct :)

Jake was an outstanding guide during last night’s pub crawl. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he also made sure everyone felt included, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the night. His witty, nerdy jokes helped break the ice and made it easy for everyone to connect and have a great time together. Jake created a fun, welcoming atmosphere that turned a group of strangers into friends by the end of the evening. I would highly recommend this pub crawl to anyone looking for a memorable night out, and Jake in particular is a big reason why the experience was so enjoyable. Thanks for an amazing night!

Great tour of local bars and secret locales. We did our tour with some locals, which made it fun and interesting.

Traveling solo through Sydney and was looking for a fun way to connect with others and visit some of Sydney’s bars/nightlife and this tour didn’t disappoint. We were like the United Nations on this tour with nine people representing six different countries, super fun. Loved our guide Kieran and his passion for showing us his city. The bars we went to were all different and all fabulous including some darts and live music thrown in. I did this on my first night in Sydney and I can’t recommend this tour enough, especially for solo travelers.

What a fantastic night we had - there were 13 of us - various ages and from different countries - so much fun. Great bars - places I never knew existed. We had Kerrin as our guide for the night - very knowledgeable- very fun - had everyone connecting with each other. Definitely recommend doing this one - you won’t be disappointed.

This was such a fun night! Kieran was great! He took us to some great bars with cool backstories, ambiance, & drinks, gave us some fun trivia about the city, and also fun quizzes about Aussie slang. Highly recommend!

The tour with Justin was really fun and we had a great time. We got to experience Sydney in a completely different way and met so many wonderful people that we’re still in contact with today. We’ll be back in Sydney in October and will definitely book another tour with Justin.

Each bar we visited all had a little history with it and it was super fun to learn. Really great drinks as well. The group I was with as a solo traveler were fun so it made the night more memorable!

Our guide Kieran was great and took us to hidden bars we didn’t know existed. Varying drink options hit the spot for those opting for beer and whiskey specialties.

Despite the heavy rain at times, the venues were exciting and enjoyable. Our guide Justin was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took the time to ensure that everyone was having a good time.

Kieran is a knowledgeable and gregarious host. Our group of 7 moved through The Rocks and surrounding Sydney at a comfortable pace at the watering holes were interesting.

I went with a friend and it was such a fun night out! Ari was an excellent tour guide who took us to some amazing bars that I have never been to despite living in Sydney. Highly recommend if you're not sure where to get a good drink in Sydney!

We had an awesome time with Ari, the bars were amazing and we would never have found them if we hadn’t gone on this tour. We met some wonderful people and we all enjoyed our time together. I recommend going on this tour , it gives you a lot of great bars to visit but also amazing places to explore and places to eat.

Local Sauce took us to some fabulous little bars - great drinks, great atmosphere and our host, Ari was fabulous! The whole evening was well organised, relaxing and fun! We met some lovely people as part of our group, which made the evening really entertaining. Loved it and would highly recommend!

This was a really fun night. As a solo female traveler, it was a great way to explore the nightlife in Sydney in a safe and comfortable way. We went to four very different bars in terms of atmosphere and offerings, which gave us a great overview of what is on offer. Our guide Eddie was really friendly and welcoming and ensured the group had a fun time.

Great tour and the tour guide Eddie lovely chap but Eddie needs to speed each visit up a touch , however after the tour he showed us an additional secret bar which he didn't have to do so we were grateful for that

Justin was a great host. We were able to go to bars that we certainly wouldn’t have went to on our own. There is also a certain historical and cultural aspect to the tour which added a layer beyond drinking. Highly recommend!

I had a great time visiting 4 bars in Sydney. All 4 bars had specialty drinks and a cool unique environment. Our tour guide was an incredible host that made sure we all had a great time and also gave us a history lesson of Sydney. Highly recommend this tour to anyone that is traveling to Sydney!

I have done several tours with the company Local Sauce Tours and my guide Dan. This is a well organized and well run tour. The owner, Justin, is very clear with communications, from the moment you booked the tour to the start of the tour. I enjoyed meeting people from around the world. Dan is very knowledgeable and has a perfect temperament to lead such a tour. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will not hesitate to sign up for this tour or any tour by Local Sauce!

Such a great small group tour that took us to some spots I would have never found on my own. Justin was a great guide that took ok us to some great spots that all had good crowds and different vibes. He also shared some historical stories of the neighborhoods we walked through as well as facilitating discussion amongst the tour group. This was a fun tour.

This was a great tour to meet some people, learn about the city, and find some truly cool bars. I walked passed a couple of them and didn’t even know they existed so you will definitely find new spots on this tour. Justin has lived in the city for a long time as well so is knowledgeable about any questions that come up throughout a bar tour.

Had the best time with tour guide Dan.. so interesting knowing facts of what used to be, all whilst having a good yarn and drink at the bars along the way. I wasn’t sure what to expect but now, I’d go again in a heart beat. Highly recommend

Went on the Sydney Bars and Secrets and Nightlife Tour and was not Disappointed, Jake our guide did an Outstanding Job in Highlighting the Bars and Dives of Darlinghurst and Oxford Street. I highly enjoyed the Toucana and Tios for its Music Playlist and just the Great Vibes that helped our Group Get acquainted for the Evening. I joined the Secret Bars Tour and it was fun, informative and a great way to discover two lovely Sydney areas and enjoy a Saturday night out on the town. Dan the tour guide was a lovely and knowledgeable person. He did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend him and the tour.
