Julie was great guide who mixed knowledge with a great personal anecdotal style. Great to see the area and learn some history especially given the 11 original ships sailed from my hometown. The blend on tour was great too. Historical, info on life in Sydney and its neighbourhoods with stops along coast to get the true flavour.

Very nicely narrated at each landmark. Julie did a very good job. Our tour on Monday, October 5, 2026 was very informative and Julie was helpful in taking us to each landmark. The only recommendation for this specific tour would be at Watson s Bay is to offer a small walking map to the end point to meet up with Julie’s tour bus so that no one gets confused. Otherwise, the tour is good for newbies to Sydney.

Julie did a great job giving us the lay of the land and a lot of history about Sidney We even spotted whales on one of our walks. We especially appreciated her recommendations of what to do on a rainy day since we had planned a lot of outdoor afternoon activities. Thanks Julie.

We had a fabulous tour of the city while "chasing" our girls who were running the Sydney Marathon. Helen was amazing at laying out a route where we were able to see our girls five times during the course of their three plus hour run. All along the way, we were able to see the highlights of various spots in the city. We were grateful that she did this inaugural type of tour with us as we have the memories of watching our girls run with the backdrop of many beautiful Sydney city highlights. Thank you Helen!

We had a fabulous time on the story of Sydney half day tour. You travel in comfort in a mini van, get to see so many beautiful sights of Sydney, famous landmarks & stop in picturesque spots to take in the amazing views & get photos. Our guide was so fun & shared some really interesting facts & information on the history of such a beautiful city. We look forward to doing another tour in yhe future.

This was our first tour a day after arriving in Sydney for a week-long visit. We were impressed with Sharon, our tour guide’s knowledge and love of the city. She took us to the important neighborhoods and provided interesting history of each area. Her stories kept us interested and excited about Sydney for the entire duration of the tour. It was a great start to our time in Sydney and as we have continued our visit, find ourselves referencing what we learned from Sharon. Her tour gave us helpful information about what we wanted to revisit.

It was terrific!!!! An informative and memorable tour for me. It is always good to know the history of a place we are visiting at. Helen and Norman were so accommodating. I did not feel intimidated of them that I am the only one guest on tour. Helen and Norman totally knowledgeable about the city and they were not boring to talk with. They were actually great in conversation. I totally recommend them and this tour activity if you want to know more about the story of Sydney and surrounds.

Guide was extremely knowledgeable and took his time explaining Sydney history. He was extremely friendly and wonderful personality. Highly recommended

We had a short time to tour Sydney. This was a great option to see the highlights and after the tour we want to come back when we have more time.

This trip was a great travel experience, especially for first time visitos, our guide, Guy, took us all over the city. He was very knowledgable & fun. We really enjoyed our day.

Sharon, our guide, was in the agreed place at the right time with an air conditioned mini bus. Our two tour companions were already onboard. Sharon explained our tour and provided sturdy copies of a map of the route and the highlights. Sharon's running commentary was full of interesting facts and stories. I would suggest she pauses for breath occasionally and ask if anyone has a question. All the stops were well selected and included an optional walk along the cliff tops (perfectly safe) and Bondi Breach. Our companions were dropped back to their hotel and we had some extra time available so Sharon took us back over the bridge and gave us some suggestions of possible boat trips. All in all an excellent tour which was good value for money. A tour I would recommend to my best friend. If you have a few hours spare and want to cram in lots of the main attractions.

This is an excellent tour to see Sydney and understand it's history. I highly recommend. Guy was an excellent tour guide.

We liked this tour and our driver guide was wonderful and informative. We did a similar tour the day before but this one was more thorough and much better.

Sharon was knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about Sydney. Enjoyed the Mini coach. Saw a lot of Sydney and went places I wouldn’t have gone on our own. Small group so easy to talk to guide.

The story of Sydney is a great tour! It takes you around the city to tell the story of the city from beginning to now. Getting to see the different areas, neighborhoods and beaches was a great way to see the city in a few hours. Sharon was a great tour guide and knew her information. Highly recommend!

We booked a tour of the Blue Mountains that included a hike through beautiful forests of bamboo trees where we saw many species of birds. We also saw some breathtaking views of waterfalls. Our guide Rohan was amazing. He knew so much about the area and gave us great information about Sydney and surrounding areas along with great restaraunt recommendations. Highly recommend this as a day tour out of Sydney.

The tour was good, although the field of view from the back seats was restricted by the tall seats in front. Our guide/ driver, Shaun, was excellent- friendly, accommodating and very informative.

The tour was a great overview of Sydney. Our guide was excellent as he explained all the different areas and suburbs of Sydney. We really got a flavor of Sydney so that we’ve been go back and explore our areas further.

Jen was a terrific guide. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We felt like a friend was taking us on a tour of her city and introducing us to a place she really loved. We highly recommend her to anyone who wants to really learn about and appreciate Sydney.

This is our first trip to Sydney. We traveled all over the world and always hired a private guide tour. I must say that this is the best and most interactive with the guide Helen who is the operator and is very professional, knowledgeable , passionate, accommodating and down to earth We have three different tours with her. Tour was outstanding. Got to see roos and koalas up close and personal Also took the steepest coal train. Visited the small local town.

“Guy the Guide” did our 1/2 day intro tour and was absolutely fabulous! It was just what we needed to get our bearings as we started our 6 day visit. Next we had Sharon for our Blue Mountain trip! She was a wonderful driver on the long journey, and added such charming and delightfully interesting facts and folklore to all our stops. She gave us a terrific tour through Featherland pointing out the park’s most interesting residents. At Blue Mountain she was expert at guiding us to best spots for viewing and photo sites. We hardly noticed the long drive as we never stopped talking! You MUST request her if you’re taking the trip up there! The vehicles were all clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for our group of 4. Helen, the owner of Ultimately Sydney is amazing! Communication over our several months of planning and during our time in Sydney was always very swift and thorough. I would highly recommend her to all!

The tour guide is a good story narrator. She answered all questions from the guests, took us to the best spots for short hikes and photographing. I had hoped for more stopping points but we had limited time.

Great overview of Sydney and its history.Helen was an excellent guide who explained everything and added some personal experiences to the story.. There wer only 5 of us on the tour. Tour did not seemed rushed and allowed us ample time at the various stops. Some great photo ops and a stop at Bondi beach . Excellent orientation to the history and various areas of Sydney

A great overview of Sydney. 4 hours well spent. Our guide, Helen was so informative on the history of Sydney and the different areas we visited. She also told us of her own experiences in Sydney. Could not of had a better guide.. Great stops for pictures of the iconic sites around the harbour. Stop at Bondi Beach was long enough to walk on the sand and dabble my feet in the water. Another beautiful spot of many we saw.

Very informative and get to see a great variety of sights. Jen and Henry were very knowledgeable. They were both a delight to be with. This is a tour of Sydney that is a must.

If just looking for an easy 4 hour excursion that is packed with amazing sites and a complete history narrative from an actual Australian, look no further! Our guide Sharon was so knowledgeable and really went out of her way to provide everything we needed and asked for!!

We were greeted early by our host Sharon in our Four Seasons Sydney hotel. She clearly briefed us about the travel plan (I loved the organization!). We learned that my wife and I were the only 2 on the trip but they were going anyway! What customer service!! Helen, from the Tour office joined us and added to the interesting commentary along the way. They painted a colorful narrative of the Story of Sydney and stopped at very beautiful spots. This was a very worthy excursion to introduce Sydney from many angles and the coach was quite comfortable. Sharon stopped at such scenic vistas for this photography buff. Now I have these memories to print! She is such a gracious informative hostess and excellent driver at the same time. A must trip to get to know this gem of a city!

Great tour. I accidentally booked the wrong date and felt horrible when they messaged me asking if I was coming. Rather than make a big deal about it, they were very flexible and simply offered to book me another day free of charge. Thank you again and I apologize for the inconvenience!

We took The Story of Sydney Tour with Helen. She was amazing! Even though it rained the day of our tour, we definitely made the best of it! I wish we had taken this tour at the beginning of our stay since it took us to places I would have loved to go back to. Next time! I will definitely use Ultimately Sydney Tours again!

Helen was absolutely a joy to have as our tour guide. In spite of the rain, we were still able to make our way to all the highlights and hear all the history of the Sydney Harbour and its communities. We would HIGHLY recommend spending a few hours with Helen and learn some fun and interesting facts about Sydney, Australia!!

Guy gave a fabulous tour and was a wealth of knowledge! Nice overview of Sydney Harbour loop and gave me many ideas of other sites to visit. So pleased I decided to book this tour.

My family and I enjoyed the Story of Sydney Tour in mid-April. This 4-hour tour gave us a historical overview of how Sydney evolved beginning at the Rocks in 1788. We traveled in an air-conditioned van that seats about 14-16 people. Helen, our tour guide, was excellent. She had so much historical and current information on each sight as we traveled around the city, answering many of our questions. (Helen also has a great sense of humor, which made the tour even more fun.) There were three stops to walk beautiful scenic coastline paths (Mrs. Macquarie's Chair, Watson's Bay and Bondi Beach). In addition, the tour took us around Potts Point, Darling Point, Chinatown and Darling Harbor. We even had a chance to see the previous home of Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman. I would highly recommend this tour, not only if you are a first-time visitor, but also if you want to learn more about the history of Sydney.

We went on the Ultimately Sydney tour. This was an awesome tour with the most friendly tour operator we have ever had. Helen was incredibly knowledgeable and so confident in Sydney traffic. She spoke loudly and clearly whilst being humorous and respectful. We went places and learnt so much more about this wonderful city! The vehicle was spotless, comfortable and air conditioned. We were picked up at our apartment and dropped off close by at a fantastic restaurant for lunch. We highly recommend this tour for those who want quality!

Although the weather wasn’t perfect, our tour guide Jen made the day so enjoyable! She was incredibly informative and kept the energy up the whole time. Jen took us to all the must-see spots around Sydney, shared interesting history along the way, and even brought us to the iconic Bondi Beach. A great way to see the best of Sydney – highly recommend!

This tour was a walking and van tour. We got to see a lot of Sydney, including Bondi beach. Also got to see some afluent areas of Sydney. Tour guide was outstanding.
