⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the Best Tours I’ve Ever Done! Our Hunter Valley winery tour was absolutely fantastic, and Matt was a huge reason why. From start to finish, he was exceptional. Matt had an incredible amount of knowledge about the Hunter Valley, the wineries, and the history of the area, and he shared it in a way that was genuinely interesting and entertaining. He somehow managed to be informative without ever being boring, and his sense of humor kept everyone laughing throughout the day. What really stood out was the perfect balance of professionalism, personality, and comedy. Matt made everyone feel comfortable and kept the entire group engaged. Even the two-hour drive to Hunter Valley and the drive back flew by because he made the journey just as enjoyable as the wineries themselves. I’ve done a lot of tours in different places, and Matt was by far the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He didn’t just drive us around—he made the entire experience. If you’re considering a Hunter Valley wine tour, I can’t recommend this one highly enough. And if Matt is your guide, you definitely lucked out. An unforgettable day from beginning to end!

A genuine luxury experience. Tasting interesting and complex wines with knowledgeable winery staff was a treat for the mind and the palate. Matt is an excellent guide and also a great raconteur. A very enjoyable conversation made the drive to the wineries less a chore and more part of what made the tour a superb day out from Sydney. Would recommend both Matt and AEA generally.

We spent two days with Helder touring the Blue Mountains and Hunter Wine Valley. The Blue Mountains are truly unique. We stopped at various look out points and walked through nature. We enjoyed a nice lunch and ended our day in a small town. The following day we did a private tour of the Hunter Wine Valley. We stopped at three different wineries, had lunch at an amazing restaurant at the Brokenwood Winery and finished it off with a cheese tasting. All was amazing! Helder was kind, gave us a lot of history of Australia, local culture and insight as to different wildlife and nature in the area. We really enjoyed these tours!

We had a lovely, fun day in Hunter Valley, tasted some yummy wines and purchased a few to enjoy later. The area is so pretty and all three wineries were amazingly designed. Lunch provided was delicious, plenty of food! Karyn, our tour guide, was also an amazing part of our trip. She is filled with fun, interesting and historical information about Australia, she has a great sense of humor and she quickly vibed with all of us. Our wonderful and informative tour-guide, Helder, made this experience so memorable. He provided us with great conversation and so many facts about Australia that we’ll be able to take back home and share with our friends and family. At the end of our wine tour, he made a special stop at the chocolate factory! We were able to pick up some goodies for our kids and nieces back home. He didn’t have to do this but since there was time available, he made it happen! He also took some great photos of my husband and I! He went above and beyond to make our time special and for that we are thankful!

He struck the perfect balance between being laid back and highly professional — everything ran smoothly and on time, yet never felt rushed or rigid. Helder’s deep knowledge of the area, culture, and history added so much richness to the experience. He was always ready to answer questions and share interesting insights about Sydney and the surrounding areas, which made the tour both informative and engaging. First of all is important to say that we stayed with Mr Helder (our Australian Guide) during 3 days , visiting Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and Bondi Beach. Our experience was amazing not only due to his knowledge in those areas but also for being so kind , helpful and doing his best to please us . All time showing and letting us know about curiosities and important info of each place. Besides that he speaks portuguese fluent due to the fact his father is portuguese. In Summary it was an awesome experience ! Great Value 👏👏

We had a wonderful day with Nigel. He was clever, a great conversationalist and took us to wonderful wineries that were off the beaten path. He knew about some very unique wineries and was acquainted with most of the people doing our tasting so that we got special treatment most places we went. He was a good driver, gave some interesting background. I would recommend this tour, but especially if you can request Nigel.

We were meet by our guide Nigel , who is a truly inspirational guy. His humour and honesty made this our best day out so far. The wine tasting was interesting visiting 3 different wineries. We stopped for lunch at Enzo’s which was very nice A memorable day - well worth a day out with Nigel

All three AEA Luxury Tours were excellent. Small groups, comfortable vehciles knowledgeable, personable and professional guides who aimed to inform. The Private wine tour wow... Great boutique winery's, good food, and a couple additional stops (Cheese and Chocolate). Very impressive. AEA was intune with our interests and bent over backwards to answer questions and make sure we got the most out of the tour.

Firstly I want to say this was a small group tour (6 in total) and not a private tour but this option did not come up. The rest of the group were a family from Nebraska and were great company throughout. Our driver Steve had the usual typical Aussie humour and obviously very knowledgeable about Australia. His narration throughout was great but he also had the knack of knowing when to keep quiet so we could relax. He drove quite fast but was very safe. We were picked up direct from the hotel and set off to Hunter Valley. About 1.5 hours into the journey we stopped for a refreshments. Our first stop was at the Mount View Estate Winery followed by Broken Back Vineyard and finally stopped at the Tulloch Winery. At each winery you get a great tasting of some very good wines that you would not normally see in a shop (I think they mainly sell to restaurants). At the second stop we also had lunch which was amazing. Fine dining at it's best with a glass of quality wine. The lunch consisted one of each dish: snapper fish, duck and beef with a salad and also dessert. The lunch was simply superb. Obviously all the wineries have rivalry between each other in a good natured way. You are able to buy as many bottles as you wish all at different prices or have it shipped back home at a cost. The great thing is you taste different wines from the cheaper end (not supermarket cheap) to the expensive end and you then realise why some wines are more expensive than others. The difference in quality and taste is simply worlds apart. All the wines we tasted were of great quality. At our final stop (Tulloch) they paired wines to different chocolates. Not something any of us had tried before but was nevertheless a great experience. This was a great day out and I would definitely recommend this as an option for a tour from Sydney.
