He tailored the tour to our family and took us to some beautiful overlook spots in Sydney afterwards. The private tour gave us the flexibility to make the day exactly what we wanted. Although there was a crowd at Blue Mountains Scenic World we managed to gain express entry to complete all the rides in record time far exceeding our expectations after hearing form others encounter hours of waiting where we just took minutes. Special thanks to Peter for including multiple shopping opportunities in our tour and my whole family are really happy to have bought what they liked. 😊 Thanks for bringing us for lunch and we are glad to share the pastures were the best we ever tasted. The cockatoo close up experience is another unexpected bonus:) Overall it's an Awesome day well spent with Peter as our Guide and we even managed to reach our hotel ahead of time. The accompany and experiences specially guided by Peter is indeed priceless as time were so well planned with surprise shopping experiences that we are not expecting. My wife and I were visiting Sydney for the first time and booked a trip with Peter so we could have an authentic tour of the Blue Mountains. We have hired tour guides in the past and Peter is one of the best. His tours are well thought out and it's obvious that he takes time preparing and getting to know his customers before hand for that personal touch to see what we were interested in. Seeing the cockatoos in the forest of the Blue Mountains will be one of our favorite memories of the entire trip. Aside from his knowledge of Austalia he has a lot of experience in travel himself and I think it makes him more sensitive to the needs of newcomers. We especially appreciated his extra tips to make our Sydney stay even better. We highly recommend Peter, you won't be disappointed if you book him for a private tour.

If you are adventurous, this is the tour for you. Peter takes you to the beautiful Blue Mountains, where you get to ride the steep train and tramway and then go on two beautiful hikes. He knows how to avoid and beat the crowds and knows the ins and outs of Sydney. The hikes are strenuous but do-able (we are in our 70's and did them). One hike is down 1000 steps and the other is uphill and downhill; both are beautiful and scenic and worth doing. Peter is a great guy and a pleasure to spend the day with.

We toured with Peter to the Blue Mountains and took in the additional stop at the wildlife centre, everything went very smoothly and the day was most enjoyable. We then again used Peter’s services to do a city tour on our final day upon returning from a cruise, Peter went above and beyond to meet our requirements and requests as we had selected a personalised city tour. Peter is very personable, professional, knowledgeable and flexible in either meeting our needs or filling in the blanks we left for him. A great day with Peter travelling to the Blue Mountains via Featherdale animal park which I’d recommend to anyone wanting to experience Australian wildlife - it’s an excellent stop off on the way to the Blue Mountains. The small town of Leura was a great place to stop for lunch and do some shopping. Peter is a great guide, helped us plan the rest of our stay in Manly with some great tips for restaurants, bars and things to do - we all really enjoyed his company.

Wow! What an epic way to spend our day! Peter was easy to communicate with before the trip arrived at our hotel exactly on time. He had our entire trip planned perfectly and was so accommodating when our teen asked for a quick side quest. He was an absolute pleasure to learn about food, Australian history and native animals. He had a few hidden gems that delighted us and gave us amazing recommendations on how to round out our Sydney adventure.

Excellent tour with Peter of Featherdale Park and Blue Mountains. From the moment we were picked up day was timed to perfection avoiding the queues and seeing all the sights. An early start at Featherdale meant the kids could feed the animals before the crowds which they loved! Lots of useful information and tips and an extra stop at the ends for some delicious local pies as requested. Would definitely recommend!

Peter was on time, a true Aussie gent, spoke the whole tour, very knowledgeable, the tour was perfectly put together beating the queues. I would recommend paying that little extra for this than the large organised groups.

We can't believe our luck having come across Peter's website when searching for private tours in Sydney. We booked three tours with Peter, covering the city, Blue Mountains and Pacific road tours. We wanted to see as much of Sydney as possible in 3 days (with the added complications of being a wheelchair user). I believe that was achieved, and more. Peter showed us the city and surrounding areas with a passion for the place he calls home. He gave us the opportunity to view Sydney from his perspective, often away from crowded spaces; giving us totally different perspectives and vistas that we would never had found on our own - and they were well worth it! We enjoyed being dropped off at the ferry after the tours with information about how to get back to our hotel. It set us up to be independent in travelling around the City. The lunch stops were of good quality, without being too expensive. We were privileged to consider Peter part of our family during those tours. It was so great to have such a knowledgeable tour guide. We also had Peter give us his ‘private Sydney city tour’. His love for his home was quite obvious. I was worried that we would be spending a lot of time in the car, but that time seem to go quite fast with Peter‘s stories and anecdotes of things that we were passing. We went to a private zoo on our way up to the Blue Mountains, and that was fantastic as they were only Australian indigenous animals. On our second day, we saw so much of Sydney I was amazed! Peter had plotted out routes to avoid traffic and we always seem to be moving. I would definitely recommend Peter services to visitors to Australia, who I’ve never been there before or our experts who will be amazed at how much Sydney has changed. Peter is, quite simply, amazing. He's personable, knowledgeable, and expertly guided us through a busy National Park in such a way that we almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. He's made these great booklets of information about Australia and NSW that you can peruse as you drive out of the city and into nature, plus we were free to ask any and all questions we had. I would sign up for any tour with Peter. If you're thinking about it, just do it. He clearly loves what he does and where he lives. He gives great advice, can help you plan your other days, and knows what to do and where to go. We're so thankful for our day in the Blue Mountains and would go back in an instant if we could. Stunning doesn't do it justice. As a human not known for their hiking skills, know that the walks and stairs were just challenging enough. Do it. On all counts. You won't regret a moment.

Peter Bailey took me on a visit to the Blue Mountains and Bathurst. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and I found Peter to be excellent company, and most knowledgable about all  the places we visited. These included Katoomba, Lithgow and some beautiful waterfalls. Peter was also very familiar with Bathurst. He was able to point out many details of the history, architecture and background of the places we visited and passed which added to the pleasure of the day.   Peter was very solicitous of my needs, as I use walking aids these days, and drove carefully and responsibly. He was easy to talk to and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. I have no hesitation in recommending his services as a specialist personalised tour guide to Sydney and it’s environs.

Peter was an amazing and knowledgeable guide who made a point of involving our teenagers in discussion and drawing them out with interesting facts and cultural comparisons. Despite having weather that was uncooperative, we had a fantastic day because Peter was able to tailor our plan and provide us with lively conversations on so many topics of interest to each member of our family.

This was the second of two trips that we booked with Peter and were not disappointed. We are not fans of the big bus tours and this was exactly what we were looking for. The morning we went to the mountains was very foggy and Peter was able to adjust the itinerary so that we did not miss anything. The scenery was spectacular once the weather improved. As noted before, he is very knowledgeable and personable. It was a great day.

Peter is an amazing tour guide offering a private and relaxed atmosphere for anyone looking to see the Blue Mountains as a family. Our family (kids 8 and 10) booked a tour with Peter to have a tour of our own to the Blue Mountains. We originally were scheduled to see the Jenolan caves, but due to the bushfires the caves were closed. He suggested we visit Featherdale and he was right. He knew exactly what we needed and what was best for the kids. We all had a great day and would highly recommend Peter to anyone looking for a private tour that is very comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable.

Our Blue Mountains tour need to be adjusted around the areas closed to the fires but was very well done. A very memorable day out and can't recommend this company highly enough. We toyed between a private or group booking and decided to go private - we got in touch with peter who gave us a detailed itinerary via email and kept in touch until our trip. The pick up was on time and throughout the journey he chatted about what to expect and what the trip should deliver. It did not disappoint! We had featherdale park to ourselves and peter pointed out all the best attractions - the kids loved it. Next up the Blue Mountains trip - again extensively knowledgeable and helpful and super locations for views. At the scenic world trip peter knew where to go and where to sit to get the best views. Even down to where to eat for lunch for great service and food - he did not let us down!!! Overall we can not thank Peter enough for a great trip and worth every penny!! Thank you peter!

Peter picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the Blue Mountains, with a stop at Featherdale Animal Park along the way. The day was delightful with his knowledge of the area, his easy wit, and his awareness of our wishes and interests. He offered options at several points so that we never felt pressured to do a rigid schedule. He was easy to be with and we enjoyed each of the activities. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a private tour with an exceptional guide.

Peter accommodated our family trip that included seniors and young kids with an on time pick up and open discussion about Australia and Sydney as we drove out to the Blue Mountains. Peter clearly knows his stuff and was happy to share all day without bombarding us with random information. The sights and stops were all good – only improvement (which is equally my responsibility as Peter’s) would be to have more actively discussed the itinerary options beforehand. But overall, we all had a great time and recommend Peter for this trip.

(Sorry, it's taken me nearly a year to get round to doing this review!) We had already had a guided tour of Sydney with Peter a couple of weeks previously, so being picked up for this tour was like meeting an old friend again. As we headed out of Sydney towards the Blue Mountains I discovered to my delight that Peter, like myself was a jazz fan. He introduced me to a very good Australian band, The Catholics, and I was able to point him towards a few European acts. I have mobility difficulties, but Peter had carefully tailored the tour to suit me,. His knowledge of where to park, and where to go for the best views with minimal walking was excellent. We saw stunning views, all the major sites as well as a jaw-dropping ride on the scenic railway, all the time with Peter taking the greatest care over timing and accessibility. We dined at the Petalura Eatery - highly recommended if you have the time and a very empty stomach! Fantastic day out, really enjoyed it and cannot praise Peter enough for his personal attention to detail.

Peter took us through a wonderful tour of the Blue Mountains including an early morning stop off to Featherdale Animal Park. He timed our visits so that we missed the crowds and took us to a lovely lunch spot. I highly recommend this tour!

My mom and I wanted to take a tour while visiting Sydney and we decided on Baileys. Since she easily tires, I had some concerns and questions. I emailed Peter to discuss them...he responded quickly and put my mind at ease. We decided to do a Sydney city tour (half day) and Blue Mountains with Featherdale Wildlife Park (all day). Both were private tours (led by Peter) in a clean, comfy, and well kept vehicle. Peter was informative and knowledgeable and managed to keep us engaged in a fun way. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured and we chatted away most of the time. He also explained what we should expect as far as walking distance or activity levels (easy, moderate, etc) so my mom could decide if it was doable. There were sooo many great things we saw - Our favorite part was visiting Featherdale. He got us there early so it wasn’t busy at all as we strolled in (Completely different story as we were leaving the park). We got up close with some of Australia’s famous furry animals-kangaroos. Absolutely adorable. Peter also had wonderful recommendations on dining options in the city based on our cuisine preference and suggested attractions and points of interest we could easily get to on our own. Bottom line - We had a great time and would DEFINITELY recommend Baileys without hesitation. Thanks!

Only having a very short stay in Sydney my mother and myself wanted to see all we could. A private tour is the best way to go if you want a relaxing and awesome experience. We booked two tours with Peter over the course of two days. The Blue Mountains Tour and the Sydney Cultural Food Tour. Communication with Peter after booking the tours was excellent. Peter sent us additional information about Sydney and a few attractions that were a short walk from our hotel. He also sent us information about where to eat that was near our hotel. Peter picked us up at our hotel at 7:15 A.M. and we drove to the Featherdale Animal Park to see the local wildlife that inhabits Australia. We were the first ones there so we were able to walk around the park without too much interruption from other large tour groups. We took a photo with a Koala which is part of the tour price. We then went for a great lunch at a local restaurant that was along the way to the Blue Mountains. I had a excellent Trout Pizza. After lunch we were off to see the blue mountains. The Blue Mountains were amazing and the rides and attractions at the park were really fun also. The cable car ride down to the coal mines is breathtaking and extremely steep. Get in front of the cable car and start filming right away. You won't want to miss the view. The ride back up from the valley is on the steepest rail car in the world. Believe me you wont expect how steep it gets. The last ride is to go across the valley in another cable car with excellent views of the "Three Sisters" and the valley. We finished up the day with another scenic stop for more views of the valley. The thing that really made this tour was Peter. His van was extremely comfortable for both my mother and I. He is a wealth of knowledge about Sydney and just general chit chat. He gets you in and out of the hot attractions with ease and also knows a few work arounds when it is busy. The tour alone can stand by itself but Peter really makes it that much more enjoyable! Definitely recommend this tour but really recommend any tour Peter would be giving since he was such a joy to spend that day with.

Peter took us on a wonderful tour of Blue Mountain today. My husband and I enjoyed the activities at Scenic World and the stunning scenery at the lookouts he chose to stop at. We appreciated his efforts to avoid the crowds and make the experience a thoroughly pleasant one. Peter is an excellent and considerate guide and we recommend his services without reservation.

We had an absolutely perfect day with Peter on the 8-hour private tour to the Blue Mountains. Peter picked us up promptly at our hotel and we enjoyed a comfortable ride and great conversation along the way. The weather cooperated with us beautifully. Peter knows all the best spots to stop for great views of the mountains and we were the first people to enter the park at Featherdale and had it all to ourselves for quite sometime before the tour buses arrived. Peter dropped us off at the ferry station to grab a boat ride home (our choice, he offered to take us directly back to our hotel but we wanted a waterfront tour on the way home). I can't recommend Peter enough, he runs a great tour and we had a fabulous time, a highlight of an amazing vacation in Australia.

Without the slightest hesitation, we would recommend Peter Bailey tours to friends and family visiting Sydney. Our group of 6 booked him for 2 days and he made sure we saw just about everything. He was very easy going and accommodating, but still able to balance our time schedule at each place we visited. We booked an 8-hour private tour for five to the Blue Mountains with Peter Bailey. The tour was in mid-January, 2019, and we booked it several months in advance. Since we were arriving in Sydney at 6 a.m. and boarding our cruise ship at mid-afternoon, we had several hours to kill. It turned out to be perfect! Peter was one of the most amiable folks we encountered on this trip. In making the initial reservation, I corresponded with Peter several times via email to make specific arrangements, and he offered several options for stops and other amenities. Because we landed in Sydney earlier than expected, the cruise line transported us from the airport to a hotel hospitality room at the base of the Harbour Bridge, and Peter picked us up at exactly the re-arranged time. (due to the last-minute time and location changes, I was able to modify the pickup arrangements with Peter via text messages, and he even texted me a picture of his VW van.) From there on, everything went according to plan. He even made lunch reservations at a nice restaurant for the six of us. After seeing the sights, we still had some additional time to utilize; so he offered us the alternatives of visiting the paid-admission parks (Scenic World/Featherdale) or to drop us off at the Olympic Stadium ferry terminal, then take the public transit ferry back to the Sydney Harbour area where he would pick us up and shuttle us to our ship. We chose the ferry option, and we're glad we did! For just a few bucks apiece, we had an hour tour of the harbour with seven passenger pickup stops at some very interesting locations. He met us near the Opera House, and 15 minutes later we were boarding our ship. We five jetlagged Americans were very appreciative of our adventure and of the fact that we'd made a new friend. Also, the price was very reasonable. ADVICE: -- Book early! -- Don't be afraid to ask Peter for his advice. He's there to please you! -- If you have time, include the Harbour Ferry in your plans. It was delightful!

Our full day tour of Featherdale and the Blue Mountains with Peter was fantastic. Peter is friendly, professional, knowledgable, prompt, flexible and reliable. His van was comfortable and immaculate and Peter is an excellent driver. Peter really knows all the "ins and outs" of each location and is able to provide an experience that we could never have had on our own. Peter is the best and the tour is top notch.

We had a great time on our private tour with Peter. We got to Featherdale when it first opened and we had lots of time to pet and feed the animals before it got crowded. The weather wasn’t the best, but Peter found a place where we had some amazing valley views. The restaurant where we had lunch was excellent. On a recent trip to Australia, my wife and I booked a tour with Bailey's Sydney Tours to introduce us to the beauty of the Blue Mountains outside Sydney. Peter Bailey greeted us at our hotel with a very comfortable van for the two-hour drive to the mountains. There, we spent several hours at Scenic World, hiking and enjoying the fantastic scenery. Following a late lunch in a picturesque nearby town, Peter drove us back to Sydney, all the while answering our myriad questions about Australia. After several panic stricken minutes we texted Peter, who found my wallet in his van and had it back to me in ten minutes. Our tour with Peter was a 5-star experience. Our family of five (including teenage boys) enjoyed an incredible day with Peter. The tour was first class from start to finish. Through the day, we saw: - Featherdale Wildlife Park. What a treat! We were literally the first to enter the park, having the animals to ourselves for some time, thanks to Peter’s timing. - Scenic World - including all the traditional rides (Skyway, Railway - twice, and Cableway) and all the scenery of two great hikes (Furber Steps, and a waterfall trek) - Nice mountain villages, including a nice stop for lunch - An excellent cliff hike We covered a lot of ground, and Peter was a great guide - sharing his insights and the day never felt rushed. Peter arrived at agreed time (go early!) and was professional, knowledgeable about the area, had great ideas for places to see and do and was a lot of fun! We don’t generally like tours and this was perfect! He took us to very cool places for lunch and for coffee (not touristy and interesting) and was flexible about how we did things throughout the day. I wish we had signed up for the 1 day about Sydney journey with him too as it sounds really comprehensive and fun- especially if you don’t have a lot of time! Overall Peter was amazing! Highly recommend him and his tour! (Also is very knowledgeable about Australian pop culture through the years!)

We had an outstanding tour just outside of Sydney. Peter is a native and long term resident of Sydney, so really knows what he is doing. He is personable, warm and knowledgeable. He had tips on how to do everything so we enjoyed the Blue Mountains unaffected by the crowds -- due to Peter's excellent knowledge and planning. 5 stars doesn't seem enough. He is exceptional. My husband and I are from Texas and are tough critics. We would do any tour that Peter offered. On our tour, we asked to skip the wildlife park, as we had been to Australia before. So instead, Peter took us to several less populated look outs and we did a cliff-edge walk that was fantastic. Can't get that on a standard bus tour. An added plus is that he is wonderful to spend the day with. He also sent us recommended walks and restaurants in Sydney, which were spot on. We would highly recommend contacting him for anything in or around Sydney.
