We were originally going to be surfing at Maruba beach but we had to change it to Bondi because of the weather and the waves being rough. The workers were really nice and helpful, we unfortunately couldn’t surf as long at Bondi because of thunderstorms but they were super kind and gave us the option to reschedule or get tshirts. Overall good experience despite all the sudden weather issues!

Great experience and very accommodating. Our first attempt got cancelled due to lightning but were able to get back in the following day. Thanks to Sunni and Ryan for teaching us the basics and getting us up on a board for the first time.
We had a great experience with our surf instructor! They definitely worked with our different levels of skills. Highly recommend!
Fantastic ! What a great way to learn to surf. Our 15 yr old had a blast on a windy, wet day. Really nice set up, good equipment and an excellent enthusiastic instructor. Three people love their surfing. We choose a lovely beach, less busy than Bondi. Cafe and shops around for those not getting wet.
We signed up for a 2-hour surfing lesson in Maroubra. The guides were good and quite communicative - James and Diego. However, me (and most of the other group) struggled to catch a wave. The sea was ferocious and the tide strong. Not sure if it was just a bad time, or this place in general is rough, but was overall a sub-optimal experience.
I originally purchased a morning session at Maroubra Beach however it was canceled due to dangerous conditions. They were able to reschedule me immediately to an afternoon session at Bondi Beach that same day. I was in a small group (5) with Harper. I was a bit scared because I can barely swim. But Harper was super nice and encouraging. He was a great teacher too. Because we were all beginners, he kept us in shallow water so our feet were always touching the floor. He set up the ride and we were all able to stand and ride waves all the way to the shore. He gave constructive feedback that led to improvement after each run. If you are an absolute beginner like me, I highly recommend a session with Harper. I wish there were photos but we left all our belongings in their shop after changing into wetsuits. There was nowhere to store our phones on the beach while we were out in the water.
‘Let’s Go Surfing’ are very reliable and Archie was a great instructor, very patient and chilled. Maroubra is a great beach to learn to surf.
It was a great experience and it was a lot of fun! The instructors explain the basics in the beginning and we also tried out some practical skills on the beach before catching the waves ! Everything was very well organized
Great lesson, well structured. Our instructor Meg was awesome. She was very helpful and gave clear instructions. We enjoyed it so much that we want to try it again! Thank you for a lovely time
It got cancelled - rescheduled for next week. Reschedule process was easy - with a phone call. But no email or txt follow up to confirm new time
They told me kindly to surf for the first time. I was the only Japanese, but it was fun to communicate with others.
More interest in chatting with others in the surf than the lesson. Not in the least enthusiastic about teaching rather bothered by it all.
I had a day spare in Sydney so decided to have a go at surfing. I didn't regret it. Great fun and a knowledgable patient instructor (Jackson). Next time I'm in Sydney I'll definitely be heading back for another lesson and highly recommend Let's go Surf to anyone thinking of taking up the sport.
Great, responsible & knowledgable instructors... even when the suns not shining and the rain is pouring they make it fun!
I had the best experience with this crew! The waves are really good and easy at Maroubra beach, and not a lot of tourists. Look for Ned, he's such a good teacher!

The beach was perfect with great waves and not too crowded. Its also closed to Sydney and with buses and easy access.
The coach was very patient and friendly,
The group, let's go surfing was amazing, very organized and secure. And at the end, they give you and certificate, so you can fell likelike a pro !,

Surfing has always been on my bucket list and thus my sister signed us up for a single surf lesson at Maroubra Beach. Following the first lesson, we got "addicted" to surfing and ended up signing up for the Maroubra surf easy plus package. We were blessed to learn from the most knowledgeable and experienced surf instructors at Maroubra (namely Ned, Lars, Clay, Will, William, and Danny). In addition, the instructors have a good understanding of the surf conditions, as well as the nature of the beach, as most of them have grown up/lived in Maroubra for many years, which also allows them to share their personal experiences of surfing at Maroubra Beach. The lessons at LGS included a short introduction to the coastal geography of Maroubra Beach, followed by teaching us the right surf technique, and most importantly, having fun in the ocean while trying to catch waves! The LGS instructors always made sure that every single person in the group was safe and was having lots of fun. Our 6 lessons with LGS was definitely the highlight of my trip, and a memory that will forever stick with me throughout my life. I am still frothing over the surf lessons at Maroubra, and I'm already looking forward to taking more lessons the next time I'm in Sydney, hopefully sometime soon! Once again, thank you to the team at LGS Maroubra for the best surfing experience I could have ever asked for!
Having never surfed before, I'd initially booked my sister and I in for a single surf lesson. Following that, we were hooked and ended up taking 5 more classes, with each one driving our passion for the sport. The instructors at LGS Maroubra (shoutout to Lars, Ned, William, Will, Clay and Danny) are all-round amazing people, with many years of surfing experience and passion. Most of them are locals as well, which adds a nice personal touch to their lessons, especially when they share their experiences and insights on surfing at Maroubra beach. The LGS classes are a nice mix of surf/coastal geography, technique and most importantly, fun! I really appreciated the attention the instructors gave to every single person in the group - being out at sea (even though we were just a few metres off from shore), this played an important role in making me feel safe. My time at LGS definitely goes down as one of the most memorable experiences in my life thus far, and is one I will cherish. Looking forward to taking a few more lessons the next time I am in Sydney and hoping to catch some "frothing good barrelmundis" too! Thank you for the best experience!
My friends and I went on a group lesson in Maroubra. Much better price wise than Bondi Beach for a start. The instructor was great, really fun and patient making sure to spend time with each person. I would highly recommend for beginners or anyone who wants to get some tips to improve their surfing.
Surf camp for holidays: 2h/ day for my children ( beginners) in Maroubra Beach. It was wonderful ! They enjoyed a lot théier lessons. Many thanks to all instructors.

Greg and the other instructors could not be better! Definitely calmed my nerves and encouraged me to try my hardest. Can't believe I actually stood up!

Had 3 lessons at Maroubra and I have nothing but great things to say about the beach, lessons and instructors who were all very positive and helpful. Such good fun, and I would highly recommend Let's Go Surfing to anyone wanting to give it a go. Loved it!
I signed up for a two-hour lesson at their Maroubra Beach location. The price was great at $60, they provided the boards and wetsuits, and the beach was nice and quiet. The instructors were friendly and helpful. They gave simple instructions and if you apply them, it should be no problem in getting up during the lesson. The instructors were more hands-on with other learners than me, perhaps because they needed help more. The one downside was that the end of the beach we went to was far away from the surf shop, at least 400 metres. Each of us had to carry our surfboards there and the boards were the large learner ones so it was fatiguing just to get to the beach. Also, be ready for a good workout if you are just a beginner with getting on and falling off. Put sunscreen on any exposed skin as I came away with a mild sunburn on the backs of my hands.
We did the 2hr group lesson at Maroubra Beach. We had a great time and whilst I can't say I'm anywhere near an expert, for my first ever time trying, I loved it!! Ned was a really patient and helpful teacher and we appreciated his knowledge and instruction - I even managed to stand, albeit brief. Thanks for an awesome afternoon. Totally recommend this to everyone!
Me and my boyfriend took the two hour surf lesson and thanks to our eminent teacher we both got to stand up on our boards and catch some waves! We had a blast and would recommend Lets Go Surfing to anyone who's in Maroubra and wants to learn how to surf! Thanks guys!
My daughter attended this surf school at Maroubra beach and she loved it. They catered for varying degrees of experience, and the program went throughout the school term. A very fun bunch of surf teachers, with a great level of patients towards the kids. Highly recommended.
