Jazz Lunch Cruise On Sydney Harbour

We were a group of 9 older women, celebrating a 70th birthday on 25 July. I booked the Jazz Lunch Cruise back in early June. Upon arrival at Wharf 9, we discovered that our cruise had become a Christmas in July lunch cruise. This really wasn't a problem, but my only criticism would be that I felt I should have been advised prior to the cruise (via email) that our booking had morphed into a Christmas cruise. Despite this, we were allocated an excellent table at the back on the middle deck (near the bar) virtually away from all the "Christmas tables", and the experience was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. The food was excellent, staff helpful and friendly, and to top it off the weather was perfect and the harbour was stunning. Many thanks. Rosey

If you enjoy a leisurely cruise with a group of friendly and attentive staff, a well prepared and fresh smorgesboard and great jazz. Then this cruise is for you. Loved it

You need to leave plenty of time to locate the boat as neither the name of the boat or its quay number are provided. We made it by the skin of our teeth. Thoroughly enjoyable, the food was plentiful and excellent.

It was a lovely boat cruise around Sydney Bay! The food was delicious with a nice variety of choices. Great live jazz music. It was a very relaxing afternoon.

What a great way to enjoy an Easter afternoon, The view, food and music were wonderful!! The crew and staff were efficient and friendly.

Loved touring the harbor. Lunch was very good. Music was pleasant. I think a short paragraph about Sydney harbor at the beginning would have enhanced the experience. We did not like how noisy the passengers were but we realize Vagabond Tours wasn’t responsible for that.

Organised the Jazz Lunch cruise for my wife’s birthday celebration and had a fantastic time, we enjoyed everything, the entertainment, the food was great and the lovely staff, was a great way to celebrate my wife’s birthday and look forward to dong it again for mine Thanks Vagabond

This cruise was excellent. Lunch buffet was plentifil and included prawns and oysters. Boat is comfortable and was great to cruise on the harbour. Windows were clean! Crew was friendly and professional. Cruise was three hours and great value for money

Lovely lunch and perfectly orchestrated with enough time to eat and enjoy the scenery just wish they gave us the option of having ALCHOL included

Great cruise around the harbour. Fantastic quality food, but it was extremely hot and no aircon! Our butter was liquid... NO joke! Staff were friendly. Music fabulous!

A great day on the Sydney Harbour, with a large group of family and friends. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cruise, and the food was wonderful. Would recommend this cruise to anyone.

pickup did not show --was at wharf #9 at Cargo Bar 1 hour ahead of departure time and no one showed up for the jazz cruise --$133 lost

Good food, good music, great company and fantasic views from Darling Harbour to the Heads and back through Balmain, well worth it.

Had the best day with family and friends for my Nans 80th birthday. Lunch was great and we did the drink package which was so worth it for 3 hrs! Thank you Vagabond cruises. Nathan peats

The food was very good. The music was good .The atmosphere was a party. We meet friendly neighbors. I swear to spend a Saturday afternoon.

This cruise was VERY organized. They had assigned seating so you didn’t have to worry about getting a good seat. They were also very accommodating. They had the food organized and each table went to the buffet. We were impressed. Good variety of food . Nice jazz band and singer. It really was nice. The Barbour is just magical . We loved it .

Relaxing cruise; Good buffet; Dessert was lacking; Jazz band comprised of guitarist and singer - played for 1/2 to 2/3 of the cruise; Microphone announcements unable to understand; Crew happily accommodated an extra person in our group.

Food was plentiful and good. The music wasn’t jazz. They played happy birthday for each guest over and over with Christmas songs. Disappointing.

My Husband and I did this cruise yesterday for his birthday, and we were joined by my cousin and his wife. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC - the cruise, scenery, music, excellent food and very courteous staff on board and in the office. By luck it was a perfect day, and we were also greeted by a pod of 5 dolphins. We chose Vagabond because of the route you take, really covering a great deal of Sydney's stunning Harbour. I will totally recommend this Vagabond Cruise to everyone, and next time we come to Sydney from the Gold Coast we will do it again. CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED - including the lovely singer and the pianist - First Class all the way.

We were charged USD$317.50 for an activity we did not attend nor were we able to cancel or reschedule as no response was received. Regardless of numerous emails and calls we are still awaiting a response. This is very poor form TripAdvisor.!!!!

Service was great. Food choice good. Guitarist was excellent. Duration of cruise spot on. Facilities clean a d comfortable.

The boat is very outdated, the food was ok, the staff was very good. Jazz music was a bit ordinary (may be they were back up musicians😂) We were unlucky with the weather, so the boat was rocking a lot and some people were seasick. It was ok experience, but would not recommend it to my friends.

A very nice way to both get an overview of Sydney from the sea and see all the small, nice idylls between Darling Harbour/city centre and Hornby Lighthouse - both on the north and south side of the fjord. Nice jazz music, good food and a good view

We had a great afternoon, the staff were really organized and friendly , food was great and obviously having a few drinks outside on the upper deck in the sun on Sydney harbour what else could you ask for? Highly recommend !!!

What a great choice we made to book this cruise. Usually when the advertising tells you how good it will be you expect them to say that. The entire experience was excellent. Booking was very easy and tickets arrived within minutes. The crew were super organised, welcomed us and showed us to our table. Lunch was sumptuous . We couldn’t fault it. Lovely variety and a well organised call up for each table to be served. It was a full cruise. The music, jazz guitar, that guy needs specific mention, and the female singer performed many old standards with a lovely range and some innovative variations. Speaking to other guests they enjoyed it too. The cost was reasonable, cheap in our humble view. No hesitation in recommending.

Great way to see the inner harbours bays. Great food, (never run out). Quick and easy bar service, and super friendly team on board. Absolute value for money. !

Great cruise. Food was WOW. Event was a High School Reunion 20 women. Eveyone was so impressed with the cruise. Vagabond Cruise people were great to deal with me and keep me updated about payments etc.

The cruise left promptly and each group had their own table. The food portions were generous and the staff friendly. Thanks to Rebecca and Michael for enjoyable music over 3 hours. Beautiful views of Sydney. The boat is older than some others on the harbour but comfortable. We chose this one because of the menu- great seafood options but also many non- seafood options. A highlight of our stay in Sydney.

We recently enjoyed a delightful lunch cruise. The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. The food and entertainment were both excellent. We’re definitely looking forward to booking another cruise soon!

Highly recommend this fabulous day out on Sydney Harbour. The boat was fabulous, the food fantastic, live music was wonderful & crew friendly. And of course Sydney Harbour brought the goods for us with perfect weather too. Thank you so much! We loved it!

The whole three hour trip was terrific. Views great, meal absolutely scrumptious, and the jazz from Pianist and Singer as good as you could wish for.

This was our second cruise and we have enjoyed both. It was nice just to cruise the Harbour, hopefully next year we will get good weather. This is a must for any Sydney siders. Plenty of food and drinks

Sailing around enjoying our magnificent harbour with sailboats and ferries. The cruise is very relaxing. Lunch is delicious. A great way to celebrate with a group or just a couple.

The seating arrangements was very tight and we are so crowded. The buffet food serving is being measured and after a dish was gone it was not replenished so others that are still at the end of queue for food missed on some dishes. The music was not jazzy at all and not entertaining.

Too many people so we were all cramped together and hard to move and get up from the table. Meal was mediocre and confusion when to go up for your meal.. No water carafes provided to us. Scenery was great though and we met some nice people.

We had a lovely time on the Jazz Lunch cruise. The food was great and very generous. It was so relaxing and fun. Staff were friendly and smiling. The boat isn’t huge so it was very personal and not overcrowded. Its suitable for all ages, and showcases the lovely views on Sydney harbour. Great for visitors or locals.

Don’t understand why you would allow the smokers on the top deck of the boat. The best spot for sun and views. Never again

Our group used this as a Christmas in July function and were pleasantly surprised. The boat was just the right size, the food plentiful and due to the fact we were on a harbour cruise, much better than expected. The crew were great and the jazz band were pretty good too. All in all a great day on the harbour.

Nothing was the same as advertised .Horrible old boat and run down no table clothes on the tables felt dirty and smelt disgusting for me and the other people had at terrible trip and the Singer was the worse ever . Poor directions on the website no information on which number to go to on wharf
