Hunter Valley Highlights Private Wine Tour From Sydney

Fabian our driver was unfailingly cheerful and accomodating. The vineyards chosen were smaller and less well known; we were usually the only guests present, so we were able to chat with the hosts at our leisure.

We are travelling with 2 young children. Most of the tours to Hunter Valley only allow adults, so we decided to book this private tour. The whole trip was well planned and Chris, our guide, was very friendly. We all enjoyed the whole day, as we visited 3 vineyards as well as the Hunter Valley zoo for the kids. The trip can be customised which is extremely important to you.

Recently took a Hunter Valley wine tour with Cloud 9. Greg our guide was awesome, filled with lots of great knowledge of the area and brought humour with his talks. The wine region itself is beautiful. Greg took us to wineries that had that special feeling of still being family owned. I highly recommend Cloud 9. Cheers once again.

We had a great day in Hunter Valley and definitely developed a greater appreciation for Australian wines. Coming from the California wine country, we already knew a lot about wine--but we surprised how much we DIDN"T know about wines from this area. (Let's just say that the U.S. doesn't always import the best from Australia.) This is a must-do activity if you have time.

Highly recommended private tour of the Hunter Valley! My kids wanted to visit an alpaca farm in the Hunter Valley during our recent trip Down Under. I wasn't sure if I could find a private tour agency who could do this for us given that most tours to Hunter Valley are focused around the wineries. But James from Cloud9 was so helpful in putting together this trip to the alpaca farm (Starlight Alpaca Farm) and combined it with a cheese tasting to make the most of our time in the valley. Our guide for the day, Greg, was so friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The kids loved him by the end of the day and one week on from our tour, they're still looking for their 'Uncle Greg'. I later learnt from Greg that this was in fact the first time they had taken a group to this particular alpaca farm. So if you want to do something off the beaten track, don't hesitate to check them out. The vehicle for the day, a 7-seater Mercedes was clean and comfortable. Definitely book these guys if you want to have a memorable day out in the comfort of your own vehicle!

The Hunter Valley Tour was fabulous! Myself and 20 other girls went on a tour and it was so well organised by James! Our tour guide Greg was a legend and was so good at rounding up the girls (challenging after a few drinks!). All the wineries we visited were excellent and the added distillery and chocolate/cheese stop was super fun! I’d recommend going on a Cloud 9 tour for sure! We’ve already booked a Blue Mountains trip for next month.

Celebrating with my sister and her friends for her Hens weekend and getting to visit 3 beautiful wineries and a cheese and chocolate shop as well was amazing, but a big thank you to Greg our bus driver who made it so special and so entertaining for everyone ! He really is a beautiful human and a great guy to drive all the girls around the Hunter Valley !

A hens weekend wine tour with Greg - he was the best! So friendly and enthusiastic. He made sure we got to each stop on time, without making us feel rushed. And even was our photographer for the day. 10/10! Make sure you ask for Greg when you book!

Cloud 9 wine tours were so accommodating, passionate and very knowledgeable. Our tour guide and bus driver was GREG and we loved him!! Greg dropped us to every location with full confidence and walked us into every place to make sure we were seated and ready to go! We are from Singapore and were initially booked to do a full day Private Wine Tour to Hunter Valley from Sydney on 5Dec. However when NSW government imposed a 3 days self isolation after arrival from 28Nov due to the Omicron variant, I contacted James, whom I have been corresponding for our tour to inform him that we have to make some adjustments to our itinerary. Our family decided to self-isolate in a cottage in Hunter Valley and asked if James could arrange for airport meet and greet and sent us to our accommodation in Hunter Valley. We were very pleased that he could arrange for that. He even suggested that he could ask the driver to stop by along the way to get some food for us. He gave us a link to a shop where we can pick the food items that we wanted and he helped to place the orders for us. On the day of our arrival, our driver/guide Greg came to pick us up at the airport. I also received a message from Rebecca of Cloud-9 who informed me that our driver was already near the airport and he could pick us up once we were done with our arrival PCR test. I contacted Greg when our tests were done and he was at the meeting point in no time to pick us and send us to our accommodation in Lovedale, Hunter Valley. As we were not allowed to leave the car, Greg stopped by at the shop to pick up the food items that I have ordered through James. Greg was very thoughtful to suggest that he could help us to pick up some Rose, white/red wines too, so that we can enjoy our stay/isolation with the wines and food. That was a brilliant idea. Greg came to pick us up after we completed our 3 days self-isolation to start our wineries tour/tastings. We visited 3 wineries and a distillery and also did chocolate tasting. Greg Is a fun guy, and our family of four had a great time with him. Thanks for a great and memorable day : ). I must say that the team in Cloud 9 - James, Greg and Rebecca are a fun and responsible bunch to work with. I will definitely recommend anyone from overseas who are looking for a private tour to work with them!

James, I cannot thank you enough for our experience with Cloud 9 tours and yourself. The hens party and I cannot stop talking about how much fun you made it for us and the laughs we had! From the beginning of booking, you were so quick and fast with communicating and throughout the day always so accommodating, thoughtful and informative with everything. From the wineries you booked for us, to the views you would stop at for quick pictures you took for us & to just the fun drive to and from the wineries was amazing! We didn't have to lift a finger, you organised every part of our day. We will book with you again in the future and I will recommend you 100% to any looking to book a tour.

James was a wonderful tour guide, and his car was impeccable. We enjoyed the wine tasting tour in Hunter valley and we could take out labrador along as it was a private tour! His restaurant recommendations were also great. Definitely recommend for dog lovers out there who are looking for a private tour!

Highly recommend Cloud 9 Tours for a day trip to the Hunter Valley. Have booked with them twice now - last time for my good friends 50th Birthday. We went with Greg's recommendations on vineyards, lunch venue, cheese & chocolate tasting and distillery. Greg made it so easy to organise and was the best experience. I organised our private wine tour around the hunter valley (stopping At two wineries, one beer tasting and one spirits) with 17 friends through Rebecca and James for my 30th birthday. It was such an amazing day, James was so relaxed and really helped to make sure we arrived everywhere on time and took the stress out of the whole day. When booking the tour Rebecca was so great at explaining everything and even managed to put us all on the same mini bus After restrictions were lifted. It made my birthday so extra special and I can’t thank them enough! I would definitely organise any event with you guys again :) Thank you!!

My friends and I had a great time touring the hunter valley with Cloud 9. Cloud 9 are one of few tours that allow you to pick and choose where to go which makes it a very personalised experience. The bus was very comfortable and everything ran smoothly. Greg was the perfect guide and went out of his way to make our day a memorable one. We look forward to our next tour!

James was absolutely amazing! We were looking last minute for a tour for 4 people and were so happy to come across Cloud9. James was very responsive to all our questions and flexible to what we wanted to do. He did his very best to book us into a restaurant for lunch but due to COVID restrictions (and our last minute organisation) this was not possible. So James suggested a picnic on Roche estate. We LOVED it! He bought the most comfy chairs and set up a little area with a rug and blankets for us, making us feel very special. It was a lovely day and we could not be happier with the service provided by Cloud 9.

Myself and a group of my closest girlfriends came up to the hunter for my 21st birthday. We booked our tour through cloud 9 and could not recommend them more! We had Greg as our tour guide who turned up on time happy, cheerful, and all round awesome! Greg did everything and more to make our day amazing and memorable, by choosing the wineries to suit our needs, a picnic for lunch with rugs provided. Greg was also able to cater for us when us girls decided to change up and stop in at a few additional stops which we were not scheduled to do so. cheese and choccy YUM! Greg made us all feel as if we had known him our whole life, he was super fun! i was also provided with a gift for my birthday. A bottle of wine from one of the wineries YUM!! that greg had sussed out and asked my friends which one i would like! I could not rave more about cloud 9 and our experiences, especially with all that is going on in the world!!! I will and have recommended cloud 9 to all groups i know that are wanting and are heading up to the hunter!
