GREAT cruise and delicious high tea. I highly recommend this tour for amazing views and yummy food. We chose not to listen to the bluetooth audio tour, but good to know it was available.
The Harbour High Tea Cruise is truly a standout experience and an absolute must do. The selection of treats is exquisite, beautifully presented and just as delicious as they look, making every bite feel indulgent. What really sets this cruise apart is the warm and welcoming service onboard. The staff are attentive, friendly, and go out of their way to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The cruise itself offers an extended tour of the harbour and surrounding areas, giving you plenty of time to take in the iconic views from every angle. A perfect blend of luxury, scenery, and hospitality. Highly recommended.
Fantastic afternoon tea, it was delicious. Complemented by great views of the harbour, Opera house and bridge.
Overall this was a lovely experience and one I would recommend to anyone wanting a nice high tea experience in beautiful Sydney harbour. The cruise shows you many of the wonderful sights of Sydney and we were fortunate to see dolphins as well on our trip. The food was delicious and plentiful. The tea options were very limited, and nothing special. We had to ask a couple of times for normal black tea, by the time it arrived the hot water provided to us had gone lukewarm. Unfortunately our table was one of the last to be served so by the time our food arrived we were already well into the cruise time and the hot items were cold. We understand not everyone can be served immediately but would still aspect items to be warm at least. We were doing this experience with our baby and unlucky timing for us meant he woke up when our food was finally served, of course this was to no fault of the cruise company as this is our decision to bring a small child onto this experience. However when we asked if we may take our high tea with us (as I was unable to finish my high tea due to our baby), we were flat out refused to do so, with very little to no understanding provided to our circumstances. My husband is also in a wheelchair and needs assistance with eating so managing this and our baby is of course our challenge, but we were simply hoping we could take our food with us given we were unable to have most of it on the cruise due to the time taken for it to arrive at our table. Nonetheless our unique circumstances aside we would have appreciated some understanding here. The cruise itself was wonderful and very picturesque. The staff helping to board the guests onto the boat were wonderful and very helpful with our pram and wheelchair.
We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon on the Sydney Harbour high tea cruise. The views of the Harbour were beautiful and, of course, being out on the water is always special. It’s a lovely way to take in the scenery and enjoy some time relaxing. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable, and the service was smooth. The food and drinks were enjoyable, though fairly standard for a high tea experience. Overall, it was a nice outing with beautiful views — a good option if you’re looking for a relaxed way to see the Harbour.
I reached out to the team as I tried booking for high tea for my family however I noticed that the prices for adults and kids were the same. The team confirmed that the price was the same for adults and kids and I was told that this was a set menu. Which does not provide any sensible explanation to how a child’s food type and quantity would be the same. The standard menu had bubbles and tea and no child would be utilising that option so therefore a complete waste of money to be paying an adults price and not utilising the menu. If people booking need an adult option for their older kids then they would do that but it makes no sense for a 4,5,6,7 etc years old to be getting an adults menu. I did provide this as a feedback to the team hopefully they consider as many other high teas in Sydney have kids and adults prices as separate.
Absolutely, food was beautiful..relaxing and I would do it again, maybe we some company as I didn't get through it all
Great food and service. The entertainment was also good. The entire staff created a safe and enjoyable environment.
Very spacious cruise with warm welcome and timely distribution of juices, coffee, biscuits etc. The scenic beauty of Sydney harbour captivated us. Majestic Darling harbour and Symbolic Sydney Opera House in one frame is a delight for visitors like us. As weather was moderate we enjoyed view from the deck too!
The service was very poor. We waited 35 minutes before we were offered any beverage as the cruise was only one and a half hours also on the website it was stated that all the food was made fresh on board and it definitely was not all fresh. The food was very limited with hardly any savouring food and my friend who had a nut allergy was handed one piece of cake and was not told if anything else on the platter was okay for her to eat. The girl that served just made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. I would definitely not recommend this cruise as it wasn’t cheap and i’ve definitely been on better. I was embarrassed as it was my suggestion to go on this high tea and unfortunately we were all very disappointed.
This cruise with high tea was fabulous!!! The boat was a large, cruising yacht with plenty of room for everybody. They assigned you to a beautiful table near the window and start you off with glass of champagne, from there tea and coffee, sweets and treats are delivered to your table. This cruise is extremely enjoyable and relaxing. I highly recommend and would do it again in a minute.
Delightful trip even with the rain. We boarded the boat, they sat us at our reserved a table, brought a glass of champagne, tea pot (about 5 different tea packs were on the table) and 3-tier tray of finger foods. All delicious. You do have the option to order wines, hard liqueurs, non-alcoholic drinks, side snacks and other options while onboard for a fee. No narration of the scenery you’re passing, just light music playing in the background. It was relaxing and enjoyable.
Amazing experience! Smooth sailing, glorious day and delicious food! Stunning scenery. The staff were friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this experience 🌸
Nice boat trip - food & drinks all good. We had bad weather which was a shame but the trip was fine - worth the cost for the views anyway.
Nice boat trip and good service - very enjoyable and well run - unfortunately they couldn’t do anything about the weather which was awful !
Have yet to go on this actually as the boat we thought we were going on, wasn't the boat we were supposed to get on but a completely different boat with the name "Captain Cook Cruises" no where in sight. Was supposed to do the High tea with my girlfriend for her birthday and we had arrived fairly early, 1pm to be exact. This big boat, "The Jackson" pulls up in wharf 1 on the left hand side and people disembark. We stood there, as there was no clear indication that this was actually the boat we had to get on. Had been to the office outside of this wharf whilst this big boat had been docked and asked the lady that if we waited at wharf 1, the boat would be there soon. So we waited. A smaller captain cook cruise boat docks and some people disembark. 1.37pm and The Jackson was gone, they were running slightly behind schedule as what the lady back at office had said. 1.45pm rolls around and at this stage I go back to the office ONLY THEN to be told that the boat my girlfriend and myself needed to be on was The Jackson. With no clear indication from both the office at Darling Harbour or the tickets that I had both electronically and printed, where was it on my tickets that said "boat to board: The Jackson". Whilst this activity has been rescheduled, it was an inconvenience and it'd be nice for some clearer directions when it comes to which boat to board and which boat not to wait for. I unfortunately have no choice but to give this a terrible review as I can't give it what I haven't experienced.
We loved our experience on the harbor cruise!! They gave us plentiful and yummy treats! We had pretty great views with window seats. However my husband kept getting caught in the sun and was unbearably hot at least 90% of the time. So he didn’t enjoy it too much. But I love the ambience and luxury this cruise showcased
I've had my second issue with Captain Cook Cruises. The first time I attempted to take a cruise and was denied due to my assistance dog travelling with me. The second time, I was told CCC accepts companion cards, and was given a discount code to use for my carer. When I added the discount code, it increased the price from $267 to $315. So they charge MORE money for a disabled person to travel with a carer, than for someone to travel with a friend or family member. Ridiculous!
The ferry ride was beautiful. The food for the high tea was very good. It was a pleasant way to see the Harbour .
We had such a lovely afternoon! The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to give us the best High tea experience. The food was beautifully presented, freshly made and delicious. Topped by stunning views through large paned windows, this was a perfect day to spend with loved ones!
The boat ride was wonderful! The tea was just ok. We were given tea bags and hot water. Scones were not great. Overall experience good.
Relaxing, beautiful views, educational and an overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend this tour!
What a lovely experience. We had a couple of hours to fill before a wedding and this was perfect. The food was delish and the views amazing.
This was an incredible culinary experience! The sights of the Harbour are beautiful but secondary to the delicious food offered! Delicious sandwiches, scones with preserves and clotted cream, and a wide assortment of small desserts, this high tea was well worth the money. The staff is so friendly and helpful, from the boat crew to all the waitstaff.
Tea time food and tea was delicious and varied service was excellent. Very relaxing cruise Highly Recommend for British visitors
We thoroughly enjoyed this high tea experience. Delicious food with a wide variety of choices, attentive waitstaff and pretty views of the harbor.
I highly recommend this event. The boat is fine, food and service is lovely. A nice tour of the Harbour as well.
Great views of Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge whilst enjoying a glass of bubbly and lovely cakes. Would have liked some sort of commentary, even if pre-recorded.
Not overly rapt with this experience! The food was very ordinary - sandwiches were a little stale the pastries a little dry and the selection of sweets were horrible! One was dripping syrup and looks very old! The strawberries with chocolate were good - the scones were great! Probably the only thing on the 3 trays that was great! Service was good but I noticed a lot of people left a lot of the food on the plates! Selection of tea was good also! There was no commentary as to where on the harbour we were or pointing out Andy points of interest! Thanks but I don’t think I’d do this again, unfortunately!
The veiws. The high tea was lovely second time taking this cruise. Will return to try a new cruise next year
An amazing afternoon of beautiful food and wonderful sights. Perfect amount of food and the staff were so lovely
It was a fabulous experience with great food and amazing staff. They catered so well to our food allergies and never made us feel like it was a bother. I would definitely recommend Captain Cook Cruises for any water excursions. The seating along the windows of the vessel gave unmatched views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. It was also one of the best high teas I have ever had. Come hungry because there is a lot of food! I would definitely recommend. It as a must do in your Sydney itinerary.
Amazing views, took a shorter 1.5 hour cruise because I was short on time but wanted to see all the main sites from the water. The high tea was good. I went solo and the amount of food on the tea trays was amazing, way more than I could eat, so overall a great value. Also came with champagne and hot tea. (Simple Twinings tea bag selection).
This was a great afternoon on the harbour. There was a lot of delicious food including sandwiches, quiches, scones and cakes. I strongly recommend after you finish eating you go to the top deck of the boat for the glorious harbour views.
The views from this harbor cruise were absolutely wonderful, the high tea was a fun experience, and the atmosphere was romantic for my husband and I. The only things I would’ve liked differently: we were not seated by the window, which we thought was guaranteed but apparently you have to pay extra for that. 90% of the seats had their high tea platters at the start of the cruise, but ours took 30 min to come. We also didn’t have a full set of tea options at our table (some packs were even already opened and empty). By the time the live music started, we were also 30 min into the cruise (the entire thing is 1 and a half hours). They didn’t let us know that we could go out the the top deck for outside photos and experience at all, and we didn’t get to go out until the last 10 min when we heard other tables going out back. All in all a beautiful time but if they made more of an effort to show care for their guests onboard, it would have been a 10/10. Still fun and worth a trip!
Best high tea ever. Staff were great and food was amazing. My only complaint is that when booking the cost is in US dollars which is not shown until payment made. In saying this was well worth the money, would just like it to be clear on booking.
We enjoyed a nice tea with plenty of tasty choices and nice English Breakfast tea with milk. From our window we were able to experience the beautiful neighborhoods that dot the harbor and the spectacular architecture that has given Sydney such fame. That being said, I don't think the trip would be enjoyable on a dark or rainy day. So plan accordingly for a special day, hopefully with someone to share all those pastries. Oh and since they refused to provide a take out sack or box, do plan ahead and bring one along. I hate to waste.
The wonderful ship ride around Sydney Harbor that was offset by a beautiful and delicious tea. The food was thoughtful and creative. The service was excellent and we are talking about doing it again. Loved it.
Although the tea was just regular bagged tea, the food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The presentation was gorgeous and everything tasted so good. The staff were also very nice. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day so our cruise down the river was perfect. Highly recommend this!
Nice and relaxing cruise with great views of the city. High tea was nice and you have plenty to eat.
Food was very good. Nice scenic ride. Can see most of the harbor sites. The app made ordering alcoholic drinks easy.
Overall a good experience, food could have been a little higher in quality, especially in the desserts.
Wonderful harbour views from a well appointed ship. Afternoon tea was nicely presented and very tasty. Staff all very friendly
What a pleasant surprise. The boat was decorated for Christmas and carols were playing. Very peaceful cruise. The food was delicious!
This was a nice solo adventure while vacationing in Sydney. Food was good. Nice selection of sweet and savory bites. Champagne included! Friendly staff. Comfortable and smooth ride. Nice tour and views of the harbor. Would recommend as an indulgent treat for yourself or an outing with girlfriends.
Organised a catchup with some girlfriends. The service was 5 star. They catered to all of our dietary needs and special requests. We had a lovely relaxing time. We just wish it went for a little longer as we were having such a good time.
The wonderful food great variation of choice. Attentive staff Great ride on the ferry Lots of lovely sights in the harbour and along the coast
Food, service and the harbour cruise were all excellent. Lovely mix of savoury and sweet treats matched a perfect sunny afternoon on the water. Highly recommend this activity.
Was a large roomy boat with plenty of room to move Food was awesome 4 adults could not finish the platter Staff were friendly, cruise stayed inside the harbour so was a comfortable cruise Would recommend
