Jake was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. We had a great time riding around Sydney on e-bikes. We really enjoyed him sharing historical insights and indigenous culture with us. Best way to see Sydney in only 4 hours!

Itinerary
Pyrmont is a thriving hub on the water that boasts beautiful colonial heritage, from Victorian terraces to classic pubs and Jones Bay Wharf, which was finished in 1919. It's best known as being home to the Sydney Fish Markets and The Star casino.
Pyrmont Bridge in Darling Harbour is one of the world's oldest surviving electrically operated swing bridges. The current swing bridge opened in 1902 and replaced the first Pyrmont Bridge which began operating in 1857. The swingspan allows access for vessels that are too tall to travel under the bridge.
Darling Harbour is a buzzing waterside precinct that's just moments from the centre of Sydney, but still retains its small, intimate feel. This family-friendly destination has enough to keep children entertained all day, from fascinating museums to thrilling wildlife and delicious dining options.
This lively predict is a mecca for dining and entertainment. Visit Cockle Bay Wharf and you'll discover 13 exciting venues including 11 cafes, bars and restaurants. With a restaurant for every taste, choose from fresh seafood, authentic Italian and modern Australian. While each restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience, they all share the stunning Cockle Bay Wharf views. Spend the day at the precinct and you'll discover many famous Sydney attractions such as the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife Sydney and Madame Tussauds. A hub of activity, the precinct is brought to life with regular cultural events for the whole family.
Riders have the option to stop at Zupano Espresso Bar for a drink, snack or lunch. It's your call. We then roll past the Arts District at Wharf 3.
Barangaroo Reserve is Sydney’s newest harbour foreshore park. One of the city’s oldest industrial sites and a former concrete container terminal has been transformed into a spectacular, six-hectare headland open space for Sydneysiders and visitors alike to enjoy. The reserve is car-free and the perfect spot for cycling. Ride up to Stargazer Lawn for the best views across the gardens and into the harbour or follow the Wulugul Walk, which links Walsh Bay and Darling Harbour and runs through the reserve. More than 75,000 native trees and shrubs have been planted, replicating the foliage that would have been on this site prior to European colonisation. Native bee colonies have also been introduced to help pollinate the native plant species. You can even take a dip in the harbour at the new swimming area that opened in Marrinawi Cove in early 2023. This sheltered spot is lined with sandstone steps and enclosed with safety netting.
The view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is widely regarded as an iconic image of Sydney, and of Australia itself. Nicknamed "The Coathanger" because of its arch-based design. Cyclists use the cycleway on the Western side. It is a great way to see the harbour and a lot of locals don’t know it exists. It is a great way to see the harbour and a lot of locals don’t know it exists. We can take a side trip up to the middle of the bridge later also!
Sydney Cove, on which Circular Quay is located, was the site of the initial landing of the First Fleet in Port Jackson on 26 January 1788. Circular Quay is a focal point for community celebrations, due to its central Sydney location between the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is one of the main congregation points for Sydney New Year's Eve.
The Sydney Opera House is widely regarded as one of the world's most famous and distinctive buildings and a masterpiece of 20th-century architecture. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, but completed by an Australian architectural team, the building was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth in 1973. The government's decision to build Utzon's design is often overshadowed by circumstances that followed, including cost and scheduling overruns as well as the architect's ultimate resignation.
Sydney isn't the only global city with a Chinatown, but this one is bigger, better and boasts more than most thanks to the Chinese immigrants that started arriving in the 1800s. You can find everything here, from small specialist stores and sprawling Asian grocers to noodle bars in hidden food halls and tucked-away fine-dining restaurants. Not to mention lively markets and late-night karaoke.1

It turned out me and my husband had a private tour with Jake. We had a lovely time and riding the e-bike around Sydney was easy. We even went up the harbour bridge! The blue tooth helmets were great. Jake gave us loads of info about the city and Australian culture. We had lunch at a lovely place with Greek food. Including lunch the tour took about 4 hours. We would certainly recommend to book this tour with Jake!
Really enjoyed the experience, Jake was really friendly and informative. Bikes were great - Felt totally safe throughout. Many thanks
We really enjoyed our tour with Jake. He's very safety conscious, checking our previous cycling experience and making sure we were confident in operating the bikes. We had a great time cycling around and Jake stops regularly to share the history of all the icomic areas of Sydney. Jake also takes a genuine interest in where his guests are from. Diolch Jake, we had a great time 🏴
Learned a lot about the history of this amazing city. Wonderful experience! Loved biking over the Harbor Bridge. Jake was knowledgeable and friendly.
Great way to see Sydney and likely one of the best ways to go across the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Loved it.
The biking tour was a lot of fun. We were able to see so many sites in Sydney, and learned about the background and history of some of these iconic sites. Jake was a great tour guide and knowledgeable of all the sites! We also got to get food from a local restaurant. Would definitely recommend this to others to try out! Made for a memorable experience!
A great experience with saw and went through new areas of Sydney that we had not previously seen. Very informative and the guide Jake was very knowledgeable
This was a fun tour that visited many areas of the city with pleasant rides and we were able to learn a great deal about the history and people of Australia. We had a nice lunch together and the duration was just right.
Jake did a great job organizing the tour; he has a lot of background knowledge on history. Personally, I would have preferred more cycling (more kilometers) and fewer or shorter stops for explanations. But it was still good as it was. He’s a cycling enthusiast and places a lot of emphasis on safety on the road. Especially for us Germans (who drive on the right), he always reminded us to look both ways at blind intersections. That was good. The Bluetooth helmets worked well in city traffic. We also rode our bikes across the *Harbour Bridge* — that was a highlight. With the e-bikes, we had absolutely no trouble covering the distance, so pretty much anyone can do it. We had a lot of fun, and we think the idea of exploring a new city by bike is great.
What a great way to view and learn about beautiful Sydney. Jake was passionate about cycling and his city. Filling us in on the history, events, landmarks and so much more. Lunch was a well chosen delicious cafe. Jake's safety talk and care were legendary. The best way to spend 4/5 hrs.
Excellent tour around Sydney with Jake. The e bikes make this physically very manageable even with some of the bigger hills. Jake’s got a great knowledge of Sydney and could answer many of the questions our group through his way. The Bluetooth helmets were a key feature… we could all chat as we biked rather than shouting over our shoulders.
I learned so much about Sydney and Australia! Jake has a very casual and easy way of sharing history and heritage which could belie the depth and extent of his knowledge about so many things Australian. The eBike takes away the effort of the ride so you can just focus on enjoying the views and taking in the history. The Bluetooth helmets were useful so we could join the conversation even from the back of the group. I didn’t even realize 5 hours had already gone by! It was like taking a leisurely bike ride through town with an old friend. I highly recommend this ride through Sydney with Jake!
Highly recommend this tour of Sydney. The ride takes you by all of they key sites, safety of riders remains a priority throughout, e-bikes makes the distance/effort a breeze, interesting and at times humorous commentary throughout by our guide Jake (also the tour owner), small group sizes, easy to hear the guide through the handy Bluetooth helmet speakers, yummy stop for lunch (though no obligation to purchase / eat at the recommended location), great communication prior to tour from Jake including incredible flexibility as our travel plans changed several times. Take this tour!
Great way to visit places in Sydney you would never go on your own. Also the guide was kind and extremely knowledgeable of Sydney and its monuments. 100% recommended
Jake was the best!!! So grateful to get such a knowledgeable & PASSIONATE guide. Truly the best tour we could’ve asked for in Sydney. 10/10 recommend
I had a fantastic time! Jake is very experienced, and I felt safe on the city streets. He made sure I was comfortable using an electric bike and we were off! He’s extremely passionate about biking and the history of Australia we stopped at a wonderful Greek café midway. I highly recommend this tour. It’s the best way to see a new city!
This e-bike tour was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Sydney! Our guide, Jake’s passion for the city was evident in the interesting information he shared as we rode along and took-in the beautiful sites. We toured areas and learned about things we never would have found on our own. We’ve gone on several e-bike tours throughout our travels, and this was one of the best - definitely recommend!!
Jake was super helpful with how to ride the e-bikes. Test rides (as many as needed) before the tour started to make sure everyone was confident before getting on the road. Great quality bikes for all ages from 12 years old. Loved the extensive tour around the city, very informative, so much history and great sites to see from places you probably wouldn’t normally see. To top it off, was the most delicious lunch stop, my kids still talk about it. Highly recommend this tour. Big hit with teens!
Great way to see the city. Bluetooth helmets were fantastic.
Great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. Kinda wished we had more opportunity to tourists photos but overall was a great tour. When we clicked on the listed address it took us to a location 1 street away. We were able to locate the correct location by way of a local resident.
Jake was great! He knows the city really well. The park was unexpectedly closed to bikes but he was able to quickly pivot and take us another way.
This is an absolute must. Jake was friendly, fun and so knowledgeable. We had such a great time! A must do when in Sydney
This was an excellent tour and one of the highlights of my trip to Sydney. Jake was a fantastic guide and did a great job preparing everyone with a thorough safety session before we started riding. Even if you are not an experienced cyclist, the instruction made the ride feel very safe and comfortable. The electric bikes were a perfect way to explore the city because we were able to cover a lot of ground and see many of Sydney’s major sites in a relatively short amount of time. One of the best features was the Bluetooth helmets. Being able to hear real-time information and commentary while actively riding was far superior to stopping every so often for explanations. It made the tour much more engaging and immersive. Overall, this was a fun, efficient, and memorable way to get the lay of the land before exploring Sydney further on your own. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city.
Jake was an excellent guide. His bikes were in great shape. After introductions and instructions, Jake had each of us take a test ride around the block making sure we were comfortable on the bikes. Riding on the opposite side of the street took a bit of getting used to for some of us. Our helmets had blue tooth so we could hear him clearly along the way which was a game changer! We rode through the city to a park, Darling Bay, around Barangaroo, through the Rocks, across the bridge and back, up to the Opera House view & park then back to his place. I'm sure there was more I missed saying. Along the way we made stops and talked about the area and history. Jake was a wealth of information. He was very safety conscious talking to us along our ride about being careful of this and that and was what coming as well as information on what we were seeing. We also stopped for a called in lunch half way through. Jake wasn't rushed, answered all questions and was very protective of us. I highly recommend his tour.
We were only in Sydney for a few days and this was the perfect way to see the city! Great info on the history and current goings on of the city and our lunch stop was fabulous!
Superb Sydney EBike with Jake! We have taken a few e-bike tours, but Jake turned it up to eleven—if you know you know! We began with an important safety briefing—he was thorough, because it is vital to a great tour! We then did a test ride to make sure we knew how to operate the gears & power. Made me think about all the previous ones & how they just gave you the bike & you were off. Great feature blue tooth bike helmets!! Then we were off! We went everywhere & covered so much ground & Jake narrated as we pedaled, fantastic!! Outstanding tour—wholeheartedly recommend!!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable about Sydney, friendly and safety consciousness. A great experience and highly recommended.
Best tour we've ever taken and 100% worth every penny! Jake is an enthusiastic and competent guide who loves to share the history of Sydney and Australia in a most entertaining way. He took us all over Sydney, including over the Sydney Harbor Bridge! Can't recommend this tour and Jake enough.
Jake was very knowledgeable in Sydney history, and he knew how to keep the group safe when navigating potential hazards. The helmets' built-in speakers let us hear him throughout the tour. Great way to see Sydney. 👍👍👍
Wonderful way to see Sydney. Was very well designed tour and felt prepared and comfortable on the bikes.
Jake was awesome! I was a better rider at the end of the tour thanks to his help. The tour was super interesting and fun!
Outstanding value with expert guide who ensured we were E bike "ready". Jake was prepared and prepared us to enjoy the tour on the bikes. The itinerary was wonderful and introduced us to Sydney with commentary to tie it all together. Terrific option for lunch together and an exciting ride over the bridge.
We enjoyed our afternoon exploring Sydney. Jake carefully explained to my wife how to use an eBike and made sure she was safe. We had a small group and were able to explore many parts of Sydney. The bikes were modern and of high quality. Jake also was able to give us instructions and information about Sydney thru the Bluetooth helmets were we given to wear.
Our recent guided e-bike tour of Sydney was an outstanding experience. We specifically chose this tour for the Bluetooth-equipped helmets, which allowed our guide to provide a seamless running commentary on the city’s history and landmarks while navigating city streets safely. This feature made the ride significantly more informative and engaging than a standard tour. Our guide, Jake, was excellent—highly attentive to safety and ensuring everyone handled their e-bikes with confidence. A midday lunch stop at a charming Greek restaurant by Walsh Bay (self-funded) was the cherry on top. A perfect day all around.
This e-bike tour was pretty amazing! We were lucky to not have a large group so it felt like cruising around the city with a friend and this is always my preferred method of experiencing the city over a bus tour. Our tour guide Mark was excellent and super knowledgeable. He had plenty of cool stories about the history of Sydney and Australia. I would definitely recommend the tour to others and I'd book it again if I ever come back to Sydney!
This is the best way to see Sydney! We saw all the highlights of the city in 4-5 hours. I have not ridden a bike for a long time and never an e-bike. Jake and Mark took good care to make sure everyone was able to safely use the bikes and understood all the city riding rules before we could go on the tour. The bikes were in great condition and we even had helmets with speakers in them so that Jake could communicate with us the entire time. We bought the same helmets as soon as we arrived home. At each stop, Jake shared history and interesting facts of each attraction. We even went to a delicious family owned cafe for lunch. I’ve had two knee replacements and was worried I would hold up the group. Mark took extra care of me knowing that I was the least confident rider in the group and I never felt like an anchor holding everyone back because of the extra care I got. Thank you Jake and Mark helping me love riding again and for showing us your beautiful city. This tour should be double the price, you are getting an amazing deal. Book now!
Fantastic Sydney e-bike tour with Jake who was very friendly and knowledgable. The bikes were great and the Bluetooth helmets worked really well. Lunch was delicious. Jake was very safety conscious and showed us round his wonderful city. He is an enthusiastic advocate of city biking and was a great guide.
Good bikes and emphasis on safety. You need to be comfortable riding around pedestrians and other bikes. Great overview of Sydney to start off visiting the City.
Hi after 45 minutes introducing himself and chatting to the group we still had not started the tour, so we left.
Highly recommend this tour led by Jake. He safely guided our group of ten Americans through the very busy downtown to see all the main spots. It was a fun way to meet other friendly solo visitors. The e-bikes and Bluetooth helmets worked well and I felt much more comfortable being in this group than trying to navigate the city alone.
We were novices on E bikes, and our tour guide, Jake, did a fantastic job of ensuring that we knew how to operate them safely. This was a wonderful way to see Sydney and get a little bit of exercise. Thank you. Jake was a terrific guy, and even gave us a longer tour than we paid for. All around a very good experience.
Jake was wonderful! Very informative, safe and fun. Great experience.
Very good tour for experienced riders but I rated it a 4-star because even though the tour was great and informative, it is not for everyone. You should be confident riding an e-bike on streets and on the left side of the road and dodging people. If you think you might be nervous with that, this is not for you.
Jake was very good as a tour operator. He made sure that all tour members were comfortable with the e-bikes before we embarked on our tour! Jake reviewed all the rules of the road. This was especially important as being from Canada traffic flow was a bit of an “issue”. The use of helmets for communication was an excellent idea however the quality of the system was not as good as I would have liked however for the most part it worked well enough! Jake was well versed in his historical Sydney tour! We highly recommend this tour!
This was a great way to see Sydney on my first day. Jake is an excellent guide. He’s very knowledgeable. The bikes were in good condition and fun to ride. Going over the Sydney Harbour Bridge was a highlight of the tour. Highly recommend.
Very personalized tour of Sydney. The experience was amazing, covering so many interests which would be impossible without the convenience of e-bikes. Would recommend to those who want to feel the city beats but have a limited timeframe. If the weather is great, pack a go pro on your chest while riding.
The owner and guide, Jake, was like your friend taking you around to see the sights. I typically prefer to do things on my own, avoiding tours where the guides dispense facts like a tape player. Jake was extremely knowledgeable about the past and present of Australia/Sydney without feeling like you were in class. He made sure you were safe and comfortable.
Physically challenging. Tour guide Jake was amazing. Safety conscious, specific with directions, made sure all were comfortable.
The tour was full of history and great stories. Jake kept us informed and even adjusted the time and date due to the weather so we could have the best experience. Would highly recommend. The lunch stop was divine.”
