We had an incredible time hosting our group activity at Escape Hunt. The space was perfect—well-maintained, welcoming, and ideal for team bonding. The staff went above and beyond to make the experience seamless and enjoyable. They kindly allowed us additional hours for decorating and access outside of our booking time, which was a huge help. Their friendly and accommodating approach made coordination effortless, and they supported our entire group beautifully between games and while the venue was being prepped. Highly recommend this venue for any team-building event! Huge shoutout to Wendy, John, and the rest of the team. Thanks for helping us pull off this successful event!
This was a great place to spend an hour before heading to the airport at the end of a holiday in Sydney. Friendly staff and a very interesting escape room.
We had an incredible experience! The challenge was tough yet achievable, making it so rewarding. Can't wait to return!
We had an amazing time. Ali was very helpful, friendly and patient answering all our questions. We'll definitely be back!
Took my 10-year-old niece and we did the Wizard's Quest. Great fun and well set up. Staff, particularly Jon, were super helpful and patient especially when we needed some clues. Highly recommend giving it a go.
We had our 10 year old's birthday party at Escape Hunt and the whole experience from initial inquiry through to the party itself was great. All the staff we worked with (Caitlin, Benjamin, John and Jack) were all very friendly, accommodating, understanding and very sweet...everything you need when you are organising a group event. We booked the party nook for a bit of lunch and cake after the ESCAPE activity and kids had a great time. Thank you to the Escape Hunt team - you guys are amazing and we looking forward to an opportunity to return soon.
5-Star Review: An Unforgettable Proposal and Engagement Party Experience! "I am still on cloud nine after our incredible experience at Escape Hunt Sydney! My partner had planned a surprise proposal and engagement party with our closest friends and family, and the team at Escape Hunt Sydney were instrumental in making it happen. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every detail was perfect, from the customized escape room theme to the engagement decorations. The escape room experience itself was exhilarating and challenging, but the real magic happened when my partner got down on one knee and proposed in the final puzzle! What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service and dedication of the staff. They were friendly and hardworking. We are forever grateful for their efforts. If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience for any special occasion, look no further than Escape Hunt Sydney. We can't wait to come back and try another room! Thank you again to the entire team for making our engagement party and proposal experience truly unforgettable. Special thanks to Wendy, Ilesha, Luke, Oscar, and Jack for being accommodating and awesome. You guys rock! 💪 W experience!
The staff prepared us well and provided good tips for when we entered the room. Fantastic experience to have with a group of friends or work colleagues.
I attended with my 10 year old son and we did have fun. We have completed a room here before. The Alice game was fun and was a good change from just getting combination codes to locks however some of the puzzles just don't make sense to the point. In some cases, ypu don't where where the puzzle is leading to and we accidentally skipped puzzles and solved the next. Eg, the recipe puzzle. There is absolutely no clues on what to do once you have the recipe cprrect. There there was the fact that one of the puzzles did not work. We asked for a hint but the hint was what we had already done bit did not work. We tried multiple times and it still did not work. We asked again and did not get a reply. We wasted around 20mins trying to figure out if we had missed something or needed to do setting else for that puzzle to work. After about 15 attempts and moving things around, it finally worked and it was exactly how we had first placed the pieces. By this time, we had only a couple of minutes left. In the end we ran out of time. When the staff member came in to show us the rest, we told them and all that was said was, "oh well". No offer of partial refund or off of another chance to complete the room at a later date/time. Quite disappointed by that but at the end of the day, we still had fun amd will return again.
A fun experience where we completed the Bank of Australia Heist. The staff are friendly and only appear for tips if prompted. Clever puzzles though we did feel like some of the mechanisms did not work as well as we thought as we tried them then had to go back to try them again as we knew they meant something to the challenge. A challenging but very fun room.
We started off very well with our ipad and basket of goodies on the Alice in wonderland outside adventure but halfway through the ipad crashed. Wecalled the number provided but there was no answer. We had to head back to the office. My daughter organised this for the two of us but as we are leaving Sydney tomorrow we could not accept a gift card.
We did the young wizards quest. It was great fun. First I thought it was one room and that would have been underwhelming. But I was so wrong! I took my 10 and 12 year olds and their 2 best friends. I did the bulk reading of long texts, but everyone contributed and solved different challenges and puzzles. It was great to be 4-5 when you have younger kids in the group. Level 2 but fine for this age with an active adult. And we did ask for a few hints. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to do it again. Kids eager to return too.
Four of us did the Alice in Puzzleland escape. Great one to do with older kids. One clue was damaged but staff assistance was fast and appropriate. Will go again.
Excellent! Have done three escape rooms here so far, Alice in Puzzleland, Secret Service and Wizardry. Great escape rooms overall, would recommend
Mum and I have done escape rooms before but my sister visiting from the UK hadn't we booked in to do the Wizard's Quest, we enjoyed it so much we stayed and did Alice in Wonderland We enjoy every minute!
Alice in Puzzleland was great fun with friends! A nice way to spend a Saturday morning, working together and bouncing ideas of each other.
Fun and challenging. Staff were excellent and had a great sense of humour. We did the bank heist option.
Well organised, challenging (in a good way!) and above all fun - we really enjoyed completing this Escape Room as a family of five and would happily go back and try another experience
Very professional staff. Really good room and well decorated. Did have a small issue but was quickly resolved. Good levels of rooms from beginner through to advanced. Would go again.
They were awesome and very accommodating. I loved the whole experience. They put a lot of effort into the escape room and puzzles. We ran out of time but we got a few extra minutes grace period. We still couldn't figure out because our communication skills were lacking (mum and daughter team LOL) Will definitely go again.
We completed the Alice in Puzzleland (Level 1) Escape Room. It was pretty fun and not too stressful. We got stuck a couple of times, but there is a lot of items to work with and the staff were very helpful. Location was easy to get too.
Overall we had a good time, however I feel the space isn’t that great. I think we’ve been spoilt as the one in London UK is in a stylish building and the spaces and technology are second to none. However this looked like it had been thrown together in a space they could find. The room we found quite easy and we finished it with 15mins to go but it seemed to end abruptly and we had to check over the walkie talkie whether that was the end. I hope over time they can find a better more purpose built space which would allow for better technology and themes.
Confirmed booked but not taken. Big waste of time, would not recommend to anyone. Called during the day, spoke to a unhelpful, monotone and rude male staff member who was unable to correctly describe escape room theme details which sounded like he did not want to be there, talking to customers. He failed to correctly take our booking of 6, in which we shaped our night around, booking dinner and catching Ubers. Male staff member was resistant to take name and number for the booking until I repeated it several times. End the call with him confirming booking time and address but when we arrived our booked was unlisted. Very disappointed which myself or anyone in our party of 6 will never visit again
The guy hosting us was quite rude. First off he told us we were in the Alice Puzzle room even though I questioned it, then when I showed him the booking, he said it was a glitch. Not sure how this was our problem, but he did give us some options to choose from which was not what I requested but still better. He then made a few other negative comments as we weren't responding the way he liked. At the end he praised us for our efforts but it was a bit lost on us given the first interactions we had. Would recommend doing the Escape Hunt, just be prepared for a slightly grumpy host!
Super fun experience in a well laid out escape room. It was my first experience in an escape room and it was way more fun that I thought it would be. Highly recommend for families with teens and couples!
This escape room was our very first one. We did the missions one and it was fantastic! It was so cool how things opened up and moved. The only thing that brought the rating down to 4 was the staff. They were nice enough but not very welcoming. Overall it was great.
Can't recommend this enough for team events. The organisation was so easy to do and the escape hunt team were very accomodating. On the night we were greeted kindly and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms on offer were great too with a lot of little details that were appreciated. The whole experience was also such a breeze with a lot of flexibility on the rooms we did and teams etc. Thanks so much to the Escape hunt team for a great event will definitely be coming back
Great activity, had the team buzzing as we compared our successes & failures across the different rooms. You'll kick yourself when your realise what the solutions are sometimes.
Did the Pub room and it was fantastic! Tim ran a great room with informative hints while letting us make our own mistakes
Superb room set up and effective sound & visuals to really bring us into the scenario! Staff was very helpful in prepping us for the challenge and was a button away in giving tips. We did this for our corporate team building and everyone had a great experience.
Really great experience for a 12 yo birthday. Challenging rooms with help if needed. Good fun had by all. Would definitely return and do with adults too!
We did The Young Wizards Quest with our family of 4. (Kids 9 & 11) The staff were just brilliant. They were really nice and made us feel extremely welcome throughout the whole experience. It was the right level of difficulty for us . We didn't get complete it in time but the staff were kind enough to give us another 15 minutes as we were very close to the end. I would highly recommend it to all. We are still talking about it a day later and will definitely go back to do another room
Did this as a corporate event. So much fun!! Employees were awesome. Everyone still talking about how much fun it was the next day
I did not expect this to be so fun. I booked an escape room based on the requests of my children age 9 and 12 years. My adult friend and I accompanied them expecting it to be kind of boring, we booked the “easiest” room. Well I was blown away ! All 4 of us were fully engaged in the game and had so much fun ! The puzzles were challenging and we definitely couldn’t have competed the room without all 4 of us contributing plus a few hints from the staff at “mission control” too. Our 6yo also came along and whilst she was not really able to help she still had fun just looking around the rooms and watching us try to do the locks etc. No one was bored. The staff were super nice and I really appreciated they allowed me to bring the 6yo as I was travelling on my own with the kids so the older ones wouldn’t have been able to go otherwise. As they did not have another booking straight after us we got a little extra time too (definitely not expected and I would understand if that was not an option) We were all really happy to complete the room and on a high afterwards. My friend and I are definitely converts to the escape room concept it is a great challenge to do with family or friends. I would definitely be keen to go again next time we go to the city.
Did the Young Wizards Quest escape room with 3 (12-13 year old) girls. It wast the first Escape Room for them so decided to do an easier escape room as they were going to be solving all the puzzles. The attendant told the girls that they can ask for as many hints as they like during the game. The girls seemed to be having fun, but got stuck on a few puzzles so asked for some hints. At first, the hints were helpful and they managed to solve some of the puzzles, but as the girls asked for further hints as the game progressed, the assistant got frustrated at them and said to them 'how can you all be so stupid!' The girls were horrified and upset by the comments. Whilst they completed the room and escaped, the experience was spoiled by the attendants words to them, That was all the girls were talking about after the event. Not how much fun they had solving the puzzles, but how they must be so stupid. The escape room itself was fine, but please have your attendants be more aware of who they are talking to. If the number of hints is limited, then don't tell people to ask for as many hints as you like during the game,.
My wife, myself and our 12 year old daughter did the “Secret Service Mission” today and loved it. None of us had ever done an escape room before and had very little idea of what would be required. Thankfully, our ‘monitor’ patiently provided clues when requested along the way, and even gave us extra time, allowing three escape room newbies to still get the thrill of solving it and walking out the final door. Great fun, and highly recommended!
My Team loved the day there! Great service and extremely helpful staff. Would recommend for any organisation to take their team there
We are experienced escapees (30+ rooms) and came to do Assassin in the Pub and Young Wizard's Quest back to back. The service was great and the gamemasters were friendly and enthusiastic. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed with the rooms. The atmosphere was good but many of the puzzles were tired and clunky or didn't make sense in the storyline. Some of the mechanisms required fiddling and perfect placement to work properly. We missed a couple of 'next steps' because it wasn't obvious when we'd solved the previous puzzle correctly. The lighting (or lack thereof) in the rooms didn't help. I imagine these rooms are good for first timers and corporate groups but if you have done a few escape rooms elsewhere, consider giving these a miss. There are better rooms in Sydney from which to choose.
Kind customer service Pub Room was challenging but fun. They kindly gave extra time for us to finish
The room had not been reset fully, with two 'secrets' left wide open. Two pieces of technology did not work well, taking repeated attempts to trigger them. The host, waiting room and location were good but we left feeling we had wasted our money. We have done over 15 escape rooms and would rank this experience in the bottom three.
We were advised to try easiest level, so glad we did, it was fun but do not be tired because you need to be on your game, great support from the game keeper.
I recently took my Year 5 & Year 6 grades to Escape Hunt Sydney for our excursion and it was Brilliant! The service and organisation was exceptional and that is what matters most on excursions and the experience - out of this world. Students learned quickly that teamwork is more important than time and had an A+mazing time! Thank you so much Escape Hunt Sydney! We will be back!
Simple booking, checkin and a lot of fun. The rooms had lots of clever clues to solve. Some very tricky secret rooms that we did not expect
This was a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours, we had so much fun using a different side of our mind to try and get our way out of our room. The only downfall was the way some of the activities/ clues were worded, it made it hard to be able to complete without asking questions, the disappointing one was the way to undo the lock was worded, it was not clear so we could not get out on our own although had the correct code.. Apart from that we had a ball and would 100% come back.
Our group of friends did the Assassin in the Pub room and had a really good time. The team gave us clear instructions before starting the room and the whole event was very well organized. The room was challenging (it was their highest difficulty level), the puzzles clever and the story behind the experience interesting and engaging as motivation. Looking forward to trying another room in the future!
Took a department of 28 to enjoy all 6 rooms they had to offer. The overwhelming feedback form all was what a good idea and what a good time everyone had.
First time doing an escape room and Escape Hunt Experience Sydney did not disappoint. the whole team loved it.
This room is good for those that have done an Escape Room in the past, probably not the best for first timers. It was a good challenge for all involved. We had 6 in the room and it felt like to many, 4 would have been a better number. Also it would probably be a great idea for there to be practice locks in the waiting area, so you have an idea of what locks you might come across and see how they work, reset etc. This was an issue for us, as we were unaware of how to operate one of the locks as it didn't work like ones we had used before.
Went to Escape Hunt Sydney and did the Bank of Australia Heist room which was so much fun. It was designed brilliantly, was a bit challenging for a first timer - but I had a group of friends which got through it. Very exciting and highly recommend. Also a wonderful staff, Rowan helped my group finish the room, eating into his own time which he could've gone home - the staff truly do care about their customers. Overall an amazing experience!
