Fantastic sunset blue mountains tour with Greg, which included two vantage point stops and a hike to the sunset and waterfall stops. Greg’s really friendly, attentive and provided great insight of all things Australia throughout our trip. Would highly recommend, especially the sunset tour as you miss the crowds.

Itinerary
Enjoy a lie in as we departure from Sydney late morning, missing the peak hour traffic so we can get to the Blue Mountains faster. Offering 4 major pickups locations within inner Sydney CBD.
Brief convenience break in Glenbrook so passengers can grab a coffee shop (not included), before we head into the picturesque wilderness of the Blue Mountains.
Our journey begins with a quick refreshment stop in the charming towns of Glenbrook or Leura, the gateway to the Blue Mountains. These picturesque villages are full of character, offering a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Guests can explore local cafes and boutique shops and purchase something to eat at their own expense while soaking up the historic charm of these iconic mountain towns.
Next, we’ll explore the stunning Jamison Valley, a major scenic attraction known for its breathtaking valley and canyon views. We’ll get up close to the iconic sandstone formation, the Three Sisters, and hike along impressive bush trails toward one of New South Wales’ most awe-inspiring waterfalls. Then, embark on a 90-minute nature walk down to the base of Wentworth Falls—equivalent to 8 flights of stairs down and back up—as you immerse yourself in the lush native forests and the soothing sound of cascading water.
Afterwards, we’ll set out on a scenic bush exploration as we search for kangaroos in the wild. Many of Australia’s native animals are most active during the dusk hours, making this the perfect opportunity to spot kangaroos hopping through the underbrush or grazing in open fields.
Finally, we’ll visit either Echo Point or Lincoln’s Rock, two of the most iconic viewing spots in the Blue Mountains. Here, you’ll settle in to watch the sun sink behind the distant mountains, casting dramatic shadows over the rock formations, eucalyptus forests, and valleys. The panoramic views are simply unforgettable—a perfect way to end a day of exploration.
Say farewell to a day full of wilderness, wildlife and wonderland as we head back to Sydney after watching the sunset over the Blue Mountains.

Everything about this trip was really great, very good and knowledge guide, clean comfortable bus and full 9 hour tour
Brilliant tour, Derick really knew his stuff!
Very knowledgeable guide! Great mix of guided exploration and free time to hike / shop / enjoy the scenery.
Good tour. However be prepared to have sore legs after the hike to water fall. Wear good shoes and prepare for wet weather.
Excellent guide, great service, relaxing and intense at the same time. Did this in wintertime, so no wildlife, but nice views and good hike. I combined this with an early walk from the opera house across the city to the pickup point. Ideal if you have 1 day available in Sydney.
It was a wonderful day with breathtaking views and Greg was the perfect guide. He took great care of us, and was funny and informative all day long. It was a lot of walking with a lot of steep steps back up from the waterfalls but so worth it. We believe June or July, with lower temperatures, are better than summer. Would recommend both Greg and the Blue mountains every day of the week.
Really awesome day trip from Sydney!! Our tour guide, Greg, was fantastic! The hikes were great, and Greg had really great information throughout the day!
Perfect day trip to the blue mountains focused on hiking and seeing the sights. Greg was a fantastic guide.
A great and active tour!!! The guide was great and knowledgeable. He was quite active with the team.
Greg fue un guía excepcional de las Blue Mountains
A first rate experience in the amazing Blue Mountains. Definitely worth the long day for the beauty of the mountains, the experience of the Wentworth Falls (including hiking down and back up), sunset with a glass of wine and our excellent tour guide, Derek!! His knowledge of the physical and natural sciences and the national park priceless. Highly recommend this tour!
The tour was engaging overall, but some of the commentary about Aboriginal people felt overly generalised. The guide stated that Aboriginal politicians tend to lean right and that communities prefer to leave Country to be more “progressive,” which didn’t reflect the range of perspectives that exist. Some terminology used (such as “Aborigines”) also felt outdated. It may be worth reviewing this part of the content to ensure it is accurate and reflects Indigenous perspectives more appropriately.
Awesome day. This tour is your best chance to enjoy nature with a guided bush walk and a visit to multiple amazing lookouts. 85% of Blue Mountains tours with only give you 90 minutes at the sights with the rest of the day stopping of at $ kick back visits. This tour is thankfully different. This is for nature lovers, not for themes park fans.
Had a fantastic time on this trip to the Blue Mountains! Our guide Chris made the experience very memorable with his knowledge, and attention to safety and details. Also had a great local beer recommendation! Highly recommended, and hope to do it again!
Be sure to bring rain gear and good walking shoes. Our tour guide, Derek, was awesome, knowledgeable and friendly! The views and experience, both amazing. Highly recommend this trip!
We really enjoyed this excursion! Our guide Smokey was friendly, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. We were picked up at our hotel and had a comfortable ride to our location with a quick stop to grab a bite and another educational stop along the way to Blue Mountains National Park. We hiked to wentworth falls and viewed the 3 sisters at sunset. This tour leaves at noon which worked perfectly for us as our cruise ended in Sydney that morning. I highly recommend the tour and Smokey as the guide.
The Blue Mountains were certainly worth visiting, particularly if hiking to scenic overlooks. Our guide (Derrick) was very informative and kept the tour running smoothly without seeming overly structured. Great way to see an Australia away from Sydney, both geographically and culturally.
Such a great day with Chris as our guide. Chris was a great guide & kept everything going smoothly & was able to cater to all levels for the bush walk. Make sure to take the walk to the bottom if you can. It’s awesome! Highly recommend.
Beautiful views, you need to be fit to do the walk down to the waterfall. Greg was a terrific guide.
Greg provided a top quality tour! He wore us out! Really wasn’t expecting the high level of walking and steps but Greg prepped us and encouraged us throughout the day and in the end it was worth it. Amazing sights, great history sprinkled with good humor. Enjoyed our diner sharing tales too. Overall a great day and highly recommend the tour and Greg!
Great way to spend the day! Tour guide named Buck was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information on local history and the indigenous peoples. Good hiking in the mountains, too!
Our guide Chris, was friendly and knowledgeable. He provided an engaging narration as we drove through Sidney, stopped at a charming town to pick up snacks, dinner supplies and keepsakes. He led a wonderful hike to a waterfall with an extra leg for those who wanted an additional challenge. At the Three Sisters, we enjoyed pub fare before heading to a site to view a breathtaking sunset. Chris was knowledgable about local history and wildlife and shared colorful anecdotes. The bus was spacious, clean and provided phone charging outlets. We highly recommend this trip.
This is a full-day tour to the Blue Mountains with a fair bit of travel time on a small bus. The driver/guide was pleasant, but did not do much provide much information. It is a decent introduction to the area, but not much more and not a great value for the price.
Rained all day, fog was very heavy, we didn't see anything from any of the lookout points. Regarding sunset, guide admitted we'd probably see nothing but we could check it out, waste of time and money. Being told to concentrate on what we could see, ie Eucalyptus trees, what we could hear, ie birds, and smell, ie dampness, seemed a bit silly. I did read the part about tour going rain or shine but when guide already knows you won't see anything, seemed a bit ridiculous. I would recommend this trip if it wasn't pouring with rain.
Amazing day!!! Our guide Chris was so informative and funny and made the whole day really enjoyable. All the stops were incredible and the sunset at the end topped it all off, would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of going.
For those looking for a nature-centered exploration of the Blue Mountains, this package is the best out there. Side stepping heavily tourist-infested places like Scenic World, you instead launch into a bush walk that takes you down to Wentworth Falls amid the raw beauty of the Jamison valley. Our tour guide Greg had an encyclopedic knowledge of the area and his unique sense of humor kept the challenging hike interesting. The bus was very comfortable and there were enough stops on the way to satiate everyone's hunger and thirst.
This was an amazing experience! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a well planned itinerary, plenty of chances for food / bathroom breaks. The scenery is breathtaking, photos really do not do it justice! If you are feeling brave you can walk to the bottom of the waterfall, it is very steep but there are steps so is perfectly safe. The walk back to the top is hard work so leave plenty of time to return! The sunset was the icing on the cake and the main reason I chose this tour over others, and it did not disappoint.
Really enjoyed this tour. Knowledgeable and friendly guid, gave information about where we went, what we saw, where to get something to eat, and led us around the Blue Mountains, with plenty of time to do our own thing.
Such a great trip! Buck was such a great guide sharing history and stories with such passion while also sharing advise for other activities. Such a hassle free trip taken to the best spots without having to figure it out on your own. Even took us to spot wild kangaroo on the way! Such a beautiful park def will go back and do longer hikes :)
The mountains were very beautiful, but we wish we had gone there on our own. Compared to all other day tours we have done in Australia (and elsewhere), this one was by far the worst, feeling quite like a waste of our time and money. Our journey to the mountains was spent listening to our guide Joe's rarely funny stand-up routine and to his singing of the Australian anthem and some other English and Chinese songs... At the kangaroo spot, we weren't even allowed to get off the bus. Then there was a somewhat confusing 30-minute "food-buying stop" in a small town that was completely useless to those of us who had read the tour itinerary and had brought food with The bushwalk experience was very poorly organised. Several of us had lots of hiking experience, so we asked the guide for the best routes/spots we could manage to check out on our own in the allocated time. The guide refused to tell us anything, saying that we're not sufficiently familiar with the area, even though there were maps and the trails were fully paved and well-marked. Thankfully, we were still allowed to walk separately (at our own risk, with no information given by the guide). Given how windy it was, we would have been way too cold if we had stayed with the group. The sunset spot was also super windy and cold, so if anyone is still considering this tour (at least in early spring), bring a beanie and some gloves. There's a chance the bus won't have a place to park, so you'll be dropped off at a lookout for 30-40 minutes in the wind and the cold. Our final disappointment was the absence of drinking water on board despite the recommendation to bring a refillable bottle. The only time the guide filled up the common water tank was after the bushwalk towards the end of the day, and he poured that water out already at the next stop, still hours away from Sydney... The only positives were the beautiful nature, the clear(ish) weather, and the availability of wifi, aircon, and heating on the bus.
Enjoyed seeing the blue mountains and the topography which was beautiful! A surprise to us! Had a nice and beautiful hike to a waterfall. Stopped at lots of lookout spots to take in all the views. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We toured on Oct 2, 2025.
Greg was a very friendly and engaging guy, clearly liked his job. Along the way Greg talked about the route, and the Australian tendency to build tunnels to alleviate commuter traffic. Greg also told the story of the Anzac bridge, the new fish market, and the growth of the western suburbs. We stopped periodically where Greg allowed slower hikers to catch up and he talked about some of the flora and fauna native to Australia.
Fantastic experience, got to see some amazing sights and stunning views. Greg our tour guide was amazing, great fun and very informative along the stages of the tours.
This was a fantastic tour, would defo highly recommend it, Greg the tour guide was amazing and very informative of all stages of the tour from start to finish. Got to see some amazing views and stunning surroundings.
Greg was AMAZING!!! One of the best tours I’ve done in Australia. This is a must do trip. So much information provided and Greg is hilarious:)
Great day. Greg was a great tour guide, ensuring we had the best pictures and memories throughout the day. It was a long day of travel but worth the time to visit Lincolns point, Echo Point (Three Sisters) and Wentworth Falls. The first stop is for food and his recommendation for the pie shop was spot on.
We had an AWESOME time!! Greg the tour guide was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, helpful, kind and considerate and very entertaining.
Very tiring but the tour guide, Greg, told lots of interesting stories, making it fun. The people in the tour group were also very friendly, making the experience better.
From start to finish Greg was great - he communicated about where to go, tips and suggestions which gave choices. This was something I wasn’t expecting and gave it that sense of freedom on a organised tour. I love how he shared history & facts about Australia as well as blue mountains. His humour was bang on point and certainly had me chuckling at points. There was also definitely enough time to take in the scenic wonders - going later in the day & seeing the sunset made it really special. I would 100% this tour with Greg.
Vety nice trip and the weather was perfect. Will come back Somero day on the future. Walk on the nature was great and our guide was great
Very lovely trip. Lots of incredible scenery: Three sisters, two hour hike in a beautiful nature. Greg was truly an excellent tour guide, Recommended.
Our tour guide Greg is very warm, friendly, informative and a safe driver all in one! Also, proactively takes photos! Highly recommend him especially for 1st time travellers who want to experience Blue Mountains!
Wonderful day trip from Sydney. The scenery is beautiful. Our tour guide Greg was enjoyable and provided information when needed. Highly recommend.
Great tourguide Greg! Super funny and experienced with good stories and knowledge to tell. Awesome views of the blue mountains and definitely a must do in Sydney. Bring good shoes because it will be some steep steps. Definitely recommend it!! Thanks for everything
It was a really fun trip. I could see kangaroos and waterfalls, blue mountains, three sisters, and beautiful sunsets well. I was able to go well on a clear day and have the best experience.
We were very lucky with the weather and the blue mountains are magical, which saved the day. The kangaroo encounter was completely disappointing since we were not even allowed to leave the bus. The driver kept warning everyone to be on time but was at least 10 minutes late in every spot. Fortunately we did not miss the sunset because of that.
We went on the Blue Mountains tour and Joe (JU) was our guide and he was fantastic. He made us all feel very welcome and he’s very funny. We would recommend the tour but make sure you book on the tour that Joe does.
Such a great day out, got to all the best spots (including some bonus ones!) But what made the experience one to remember aside the sites, was our amazing host Greg - his enthusiasm, humour and personality made this amazing! Would highly recommended
Amazing experience. Greg ist a really fanrastic tour Guide and showed us thebest spots. Additionally heute told us a Lot about Australia, History and Nature. Thank you, Greg, for that amazing day!!
