Blue Mountains Hiking Glow Worms Cave Wildlife Spotlighting Night Adventure

This is a fantastic tour if you want to see something truly unique, and a natural highlight of the thee week trip for me. The tour operators were passionate about the worms, and because the tour was at night safety was a top concerns for them. With the main operator at the lead of the group and his assistant bringing up the rear to insure no one was separated from the group.

Getting to the night tour was somewhat exhausting, but overall it was a worthwhile experience. Our children really loved it. Photography was tricky — some things are simply meant to be seen with the eyes and remembered. In our opinion, the tour could have moved at a slightly quicker pace, as we noticed some information being repeated more than once.

Definitely book the Glow Worm experience in the Blue Mountains with Antoine. He is the perfect guide for a wilderness tour, very knowledgeable and attentive—he makes the experience fantastic!

This was an awesome tour. Antoine was a great guide. They picked me up from my hotel and we hiked down. He knows a lot about different aspects of the environment. The glowworms were gorgeous and unbelievable! Go see the glowworms!!

Fantastic experience with Antoine! He is extremely knowledgeable, not just about the glow worms, but about the surrounding woods and animals as well. I learned a ton and loved that we got to get up close and personal with the worms. This is a must do during your time in Sydney!

Interesting night hike. The guide knows what he is talking about . Very professional and fun. We did spend quite some time in the cave enjoying the sight in silent. The absolute silent that let your experience sight in a different environment that you cannot imagine. You never felt so blind or so sighted before! Short way in and out. Just make sure u get a good pair of shoes that is not slippery as the caves is damp! Not the ordinary blue mountain you thought u have seen. I have gone on other glow worm tour but this guide makes it interesting and make it more like a discovery tour! All simple and natural like how nature should be !

Great night to trek. Antoine make sure we are safe and also guide the way. Gave us an indepth description on glow worm cycle. Highly recommend. Tour start at 8 and ends around 12-1pm. He made sure to drop us all back to where we were staying.

Antoine was a great guide, attentive and knowledgeable. We did the Waitomo Glowworm experience in New Zealand a week before doing this tour and this one is so much better. We were able to get much closer to the Glowworms and photograph them. Antoine also gave us ten times more information on the Glowworms and answered all our questions. The hike to the waterfall/Glowworms was a great adventure in itself. Could not recommend this tour enough.

Amazing little side trip to the Blue Mountains to see glow worms up close. ~30 minute night hike (headlights provided) behind a waterfall to see these fascinating organisms! It was like walking into space and being surrounded by stars. Extremely impressive! Usually, these tours only run on select days of the week, but with a quick email, they opened a tour on another day that worked for me on request. Excellent customer service and communication. Great, knowledgeable guide. 100% would recommend!! Btw, don't cancel if it's raining - the glow worms love the rain and mist!!

The glow worms are amazing! It's well worth the drive from Sydney. And, seeing the sugar glider on the hike back to the van was a sweet bonus.

My husband and I loved this tour. The experience of being under a cave behind a Waterfall with the glow worms as our only light was surreal and a great experience. Only 2 countries in the world they exist, Australia and New Zealand so this was too good to pass. The guide was helpful, he has great knowledge of nature and wildlife and shares his knowledge well. Our guide Antoine was happy to take extra time on the tour so we could experience this as a small group of only 8 people and waited for any other groups to leave before we went there. This tour is not as well known as other tours in the blue mountains, it avoids crowds and much more relaxed. I fully reccomend this tour, especially to anyone that likes nature looking for a unique experience. Thanks for a great experience Antoine!

Antoine did a great job safely driving our small group to the trailhead and getting us down the muddy trail in the rain. The glow worms were incredible, like constellations of stars under the overhang behind the waterfall. We were back in Sydney by 1 AM.

Had a lovely time with our tour guide Antoine who told us everything we wanted to know about the glowworms and wildlife and plants as well. The glowworms were spectactular and we got to see them up close too! Had a fun time!

The glow worms are beautiful in this tucked away little location. You walk into the bush literally on the side of the road, no crowds, no big tour buses, no one else outside the group—we had eight people total. Antione makes you feel very secure about walking through the bush at night, and took the time to individually show each of our group the glow worms close up. He clearly loves these animals a lot, and really cares about you having a good experience. Very nice, personal little tour, does exactly what it says on the tin.

Absolutely magical! The cave was like stepping into a galaxy—glow worms lit up the darkness like stars scattered across the sky. It felt as if you could reach out and touch the cosmos. Our guide, Antoine, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and full of fun facts that made the experience even more memorable. A must-do for nature lovers and dreamers alike!

The glow worms were beautiful! It looked like the cave was full of constellations! The tour guide was very kind, engaging, and educational.

While the drive to the spot was longer than the outdoor trip, the guide was kind and had lots of information about the area and wildlife and even answered stuff unrelated to the tour whenever we wanted to hear random facts. Looking at the glowworms at the cave was like looking at a miniature night sky full of stars and will probably be a memory that will stay with me long after this vacation ends.

Tour guide was EXCELLENT. Very knowledgeable. However, it was more sitting in the van time than we anticipated. This is nothing to do with the tour guide himself (he was extremely kind and a great person to hike with), but we wish we were more aware of the nature of the outing before we went. We were the first picked up And the last to be dropped off… an extra hour on each end of a van speeding around Sydney was not appreciated. Glow worms were cool but we could not wait to get out of the van. It was just too long of a night driving for the minimal time spent in the cave.

Kunal was our guide on this Blue Mountains tour. He was very informative and kept us on schedule without rushing. We got to do everything that was offered and fed baby kangaroos at Sydney Zoo. A very fun day tour for young and old.

Awesome experience! A must do while in Sydney . Our guide Antoine was very knowledgeable about glow worms. We thought we were signing up for a quick tour but it is about a 5 hour commitment. However, we really enjoyed it and are so happy this was recommended to us. Bring a raincoat just in case!

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The cave and waterfall were spectacular with the glow worms. Trek in fairly easy. It is up hill coming back so be prepared and maybe bring walking stick if needed I have short legs so some steps a little big for me. My daughter’s found it easy and loved it. So cool to see.

It was really awesome getting to see the glow worms in their natural habitat, as well as learning so much about them! Our guide was very informative and knew a lot about the local flora and fauna, and taught about them during the hike.

Great tour! Antoine was very knowledgeable about the area and about the glow worms. He is also a very straightforward guy — you need something, you ask him. It’s about 1.5 hours to the hiking trail. It was about a 30 min downhill hike in and 40 min uphill hike out. It was pretty muddy and slippery when we went, so I recommend actual hiking shoes. The worms were incredible! They really look like stars in the night sky. They show up on the blue light the best, but red light hurts them the least. This was a truly unique experience, and I highly recommend it if you’re in Sydney!

I took the glow worm cave tour and was extremely happy with the entire experience. Antonine (the guide) was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience that much better. It was nice how I was picked up from my hotel and driven to the location. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience- it was so cool to see the glow worms up close and to hear all of the information about them. This was truly one of the best experiences I have had during my stay in Sydney. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a unique experience and something to never forget!

From start to finish this tour was amazing, absolutely worth the money and recommended to anyone that has the chance to take part. Our guide, Antoine, was very professional, very well informed and made us all feel very welcome and safe, allowed breaks whenever we needed them and helped us navigate the track with ease. The experience was amazing, with a night sky visible inside the cave. The company was fantastic, especially the guide who communicated everything clearly, assisted people along the way, and shared extensive knowledge about the glowworms. It's worth mentioning that navigating to the pickup spot wasn't the most enjoyable. This is likely due to the platform's primary target being hotels in the city. A designated pickup area would be helpful.

After developing a mutual fascination with glowworms in New Zealand last December, my partner and I knew we HAD to make sure we saw them on our trip to Australia as well; and the Blue Mountains Hiking Glow worms Cave Wildlife Spotlighting Night Adventure was absolutely perfect! Unsure of exactly what to expect, we were thrilled to hear Antoine’s guarantee that we 100% would see glowworms and he definitely did not disappoint – we were graced with the most spectacular show of glowworms up-close and personal; they truly looked like stars lighting up the night sky. Though very different from our experience in NZ, we loved getting the chance to see them up close in ways we were only able to see them previously via photos. Antoine was able to show us in detail everything we remembered learning/hearing in NZ but hadn’t been able to see for ourselves. The hike to and from the viewing site was much easier (and fun) than anticipated, although it was wet and would likely have made it somewhat challenging for someone with ambulatory issues. Antoine was an amazing guide, sharing his breadth of knowledge about the glowworms while maintaining a fun and safe environment. Even if this is your first time even hearing the term glowworm, we both would 100% recommend this experience!

This was a unique experience and should be on a bucket list. You walk through the night and enter the cave with the headlamp turned to an orange light. When you turn your light off you see all these points of light some are tinted green or blue as well. Antoine was our guide, he was a wealth of knowledge but also gave us time in the silence to take it in. We had as much time as we wanted to stay in the cave. We took photos but they do not do it justice, you have to experience the moment. Antoine provided professional photos by messaging if we wanted them. The walk has steps and does require mobility. He was careful and concerned about our safety. He provides many other wilderness experiences and I hope to do a different tour with him.

It is just so unique and special, you walk into the cave with an orange light on and then when you turn it off you see the glowworms. Our guide was very informative and attentive to our safety since we were walking in the dark.

The tour was well organized and we did see a lot of glow worms! Our guide was also very knowledgable (and very friendly) and explained alot about glow worms and other animals that we were able to see as well as the blue mountains themselves. I definitely recommend doing this tour if you are interested in glow worms and nature!

Out of the world experience. Being transported under a galaxy of stars- glow worms in their natural site. A true eco- tourism experience. Our guide Antoine was highly informative and friendly throughout the tour. I did this with my 11 year old and we both thought it was one of the best hikes / experience we had!
