Itinerary
After meeting your guide at your centrally located CBD hotel, travel approximately 45-minutes towards Featherdale Wildlife Park, one of Sydney's favorite native wildlife sanctuaries home to iconic Australian animals such as kangaroos, koala's, and a range of stunning native bird-life. Here you'll have the opportunity to take a selfie with a koala, get up close for a face-to-face encounter as you pose for the camera with the animals.
Next, make your way to Echo Point Katoomba, the perfect vantage point for the iconic Three Sisters; a stunning natural rock formation named after an Aboriginal legend which describes a tale of three sisters turned to stone. Here, let your guide take you back in time as you explore the legends of the local Indigenous people and discover the history surrounding the rock formation. You'll also have time for the perfect photo opportunity as you look-out across the Jamison Valley and view the unique blue haze that covers the skyline.
Up next is Scenic World, one of the Blue Mountains most frequently visited attractions. For the nature lovers, soak up the fresh air and see the world heritage listed rainforest canopy as you make your way through the lush greenery along the boardwalks. If you're up for a little more adventure, scenic world is home to the worlds steepest incline railway as well as an incredible scenic cable-way ride. The cable-way is a fully enclosed glass floor cabin providing unique views over the valley out to the Three Sisters, Orphan Rock, Mt Solitary and the stunning Katoomba Falls. You'll feel like you're flying as you travel over the breathtaking Katoomba Falls - a sight you won't want to miss. If the glass floor isn't for you, there is solid flooring with seating available around the outskirts of the cabin.
End your day on a high as you bypass the peak hour traffic with a relaxing cruise down the Parramatta River back to either Darling Harbour or Circular Quay. See some of Sydney's most expensive real estate as you cruise along the river and end with the perfect harbor photo opportunities as you arrive back in the CBD ( At own cost ).

Don’t forget to bring a credit card to pay for the ferry ride back to Circular Quay. The drive was nicely broken up by stops. Each of the stops had adequate time to explore. Our driver/guide was wonderful. Jed was knowledgeable, humorous and friendly. The views were spectacular. It was a beautiful day.
Do not do this tour unless you want to spend three hours touring Sydney hotels, then racing through stops without actually seeing anything, standing in long lines at overcrowded venues. We were picked up at 7:20 (20 minutes late) and faced a nearly full bus. We felt sorry for the guests who were picked up earlier as they likely spent over an hour on the bus, and we still had another 90 minutes of wandering Sydney streets. I would've loved to have gotten a picture of my wife at the Three Sisters, but sadly she was on crutches in the back of the bus and the five minute stop would barely get her off the bus. The stop in Lurie was a question of lunch versus shopping. Scenic World, while lovely, was an exercise in standing in lines along with hundreds of others and not having the time to actually view the venue. When we booked this trip, it stated we would have the option to take the Paramatta ferry (at additional expense) to Circular Quay, or ride the bus to Circular Quay. This last option was not provided as we approached the ferry dock. Clearly the driver was more interested in getting himself home than providing all contracted options. I'm sorry I booked this tour for my family. The group was too large. The stops were too short. The description is not accurate. It came nowhere close to meeting expectations, and there is no way I would recommend this too anyone.
The guide Jed was excellent. Just the right amount of commentary to help us appreciate the parts of the Blue Mountains we experienced. We were given appropriate time in each place.
That it can be a very long day if you miss the ferry back and have to wait an additional 40 minutes.
We had an amazing time. Aaron was a great guide. We would absolutely do this tour again. Don’t hesitate to book it!
Aaron was a very good tour guide. The combination of activities were exactly what we were looking for. Feeding the kangaroos was the highlight of the day. The amount of time in each spot was probably the only negative. Aaron shouldn’t ask the bus how long. He should know how long each activity is. Not enough time at the wildlife center. Just enough time for lunch with a little extra time. Not enough to see all the shops. The three sisters was good timing. Alittle too long at the Scenic World there was too much time sitting around. Overall good experience.
It was great to see the blue mountains with the rides great experience also seeing the three sisters rocks and the tour guide Jed was great his knowledge of the history. Well done to FJ Tours .
Thank you Aaron for a lovely day. We enjoyed wildlife encounters at Featherdale, wandering around the mountain town of Leura and grabbing a bite to eat, and the amazing views of the blue mountains. Aaron provided lots of info during the bus ride, but at each stop we had the freedom to break off from the tour group and have our own adventures with a set departure time to keep us on schedule. I enjoyed the simultaneous structure and freedom to ensure we all had an enjoyable tour. The ferry back into Sydney was also lovely at sunset.
Wonderful tour. This trip is well worth doing. Aaron our guide was terrific & extremely informative , engaging & accommodating. We loved every aspect of the tour & were blessed with good weather, the beauty of the Blue Mountains will remain with us forever. Highly recommend this tour.
Well worthwhile and an excellent experience The scenery is amazing, the wildlife park fascinating and scenic world was fantastic
Good communication from tour operator. Timely pick up with many choices for easy beginning. Great guide, ours was Ben. Beautiful Rico out and back, very good bus, fun on cable cars and train as well as short walk through different bays rain forest
Had a great time. Hate 100 character minimum. Why? Said all I need to. We had a good day. Enjoyed everything except needing to say more than necessary
Ben was an awesome tour guy and knowledgeable about the entire process at Blue Mountains. Wish we had a bit more time there but overall experience is great. Highly recommended
Very nice day. Allan the driver was very nice and kinda funny as I liked all the dad jokes. He did talk the right amount. Interesting stuff but not too much.
Our driver Aaron was very knowledgeable and concerned that the passengers were happy. It would have been nice to have a bottle of water included on the tour. It is a long day! You will need to take a ferry back to circular quay or close to whatever hotel you're staying at.
It is an amazing place to visit. There a lot to see and experience both in the way there as well as when you are there.
Loved every stop! Jed was a great driver/narrator. Group was really large, but everyone was considerate. Blue mountains are spectacular!
Incredible. A great way to combine and see a glimpse of the beautiful Blue Mountains. Worthwhile doing if you’re visiting Sydney. Jed was brilliant and very enthusiastic.
It was a great pleasure meeting Jed and the other members of the tour. Jed was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, sharing valuable information and insights throughout the experience. His guidance made the tour both enjoyable and informative. For other travellers, I would highly recommend this experience. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect with others, and gain useful local knowledge. Thank you, Jed, for making the experience so welcoming and memorable!
Great experience and beautiful views of the mountains. The wildlife park was also great, specially the koala experience. Highly recommended.
The amazing Scenic World on this tour offered dinosaurs, deep down in the rainforest. Amazing place to visit plenty of things to do throughout the day tour.
The only thing I really enjoyed was the zoo. The buy your own lunch in an over priced mountain town was lame. The 3 rides and walk around was lame. The overlook very overrated. At the end they take you to a ferry and force you to find your own way in to the city. This is expensive for what you get. Blue mountains are overrated. In fact Sydney is overrated. Australia is overrated. Go to Vietnam instead. You will thank me.
I can't believe all that we did on this tour. It was very scenic and the tour guide made it easy to be where we needed to be. He (Ben) was very careful with communication, so we did not get lot.
Great trip with Aaron, both Featherdale animal park and Scenic World was amazing! Blue Mountains were breathtaking as well!
Wear very comfortable shoes. Bring portable charger because you will take so many photos!! Aaron our guide was great!!
Fantastic tour fully Recommend tour guide was awesome & made the day enjoyable & lots of funny . Great day
Great tour and overall experience. Truly enjoyed the Featherdale Wildlife Park and the Koala experience. The trip to the Blue Mountains National park was amazing as was the Scenic World.
Full day out to the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas, lots of walking so be prepared. Our driver, Aaron, was incredible. An absolute font of all knowledge and a really pleasant and interesting guy…
This was an exceptional tour and great value given what was included on the day. The bonus was our amazing tour guide/bus driver “Jed” who went above and beyond ..so much knowledge he imparted on the areas we visited and also made our day so much fun. “the best tour guide ever”🤣😊 Highly recommend this tour.
Our guide/driver Jed is very knowledgeable and most informative. He is also very funny and entertaining. The day trip, like most day trips we had joined so far, doesn’t give you time to enjoy any stops/sites visited. Suppose to be a 10 hour day trip from 7 to 4. We were picked up at 7:55, and were dropped off at the ferry station before 3:45. Not enough time given to enjoy scenic world.
Driver was very polite and informative. Good time. Couple bad jokes. LOL. Should have p/u location in North Sydney.
Featherdale Wildlife Park was the highlight of this tour. We saw a Tasmania devil and a cassowary. Magnificent animals! Blue Mountain glass sky cars were pretty cool too. If you enjoy being in a big tour bus while the guide points out interesting details I highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful, full day of fun and adventure! Our guide, Joan, was great. He was fun, informative and made it soooo enjoyable. We loved it!
This was a great day! We went to the featherdale wildlife area and got to pet kangaroos and koalas and see many other animals. We stopped in an area that had lots of choices for lunch before moving on to the three sisters and scenic world. We had great views from the scenic world rides. We had a small group bus which I prefer. Our tour guide. Aaron was wonderful and had lots of information.
Went on the Blue Mountains tour with the family today. Amazing sites and experience. Jed, the bus driver was very informative and had great knowledge of the Blue Mountains and Australia in general, as well as good humour. Definitely recommend
A full day experience starting with a visit to a small lovely zoo. The penguins and pademelons were so cute! Lots of cuddly koalas too. A pleasant drive into the mountains and almost 3 hours at Scenic World. Our guide Aaron was delightful and a champion Dad joke teller!!
The day was packed with outstanding visits, starting with a delightful stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park, where there were a good selection of birds and animals, and where we took advantage of being photographed with a koala (at an extra cost). The journey to the Blue Mountains was quite long, but well worth it for the vast and stunning scenery, including a lunch stop in Leura which was a pretty town and worth a walk round to explore. The Scenic World trip was a great addition, as was the stop in Katoomba to view the Three Sisters and to get a different perspective over the Blue Moutains, truly an awe inspiring wonder of nature. The day ended with a boat trip back to Circular Quay in Sydney on the Parramatta River, which was the perfect way to end the experience. This is one tour that shouldn't be missed and is highly recommended.
Seriously a waste of money. We spent the morning at Scenic World and wished we could have refunded our money. A weird combination of dinosaurs, walkways and rides.
Ben was AMAZING!!! Outstanding tour guide. We loved exploring Featherdale Park, Scenic World, and more all while enjoying Ben’s commentary, knowledge, and kindness. Lovely experience!
The tour went as described at Viator’s web site. Comfortable coach, great guide Benjamin.Covered all sites with sufficient time spent at these sites
Exceptional service and great customer experience, the driver, bus and whole itiyenary was planned amazingly
Very easy to hike. Pave and boardwalk paths. . No high hills. Tour guide Tony was great. Real aussie experience.
Great knowledge history of the tour plus excellent rides for the day. That was the best which marks the day.
A MUST DO!! Awesome day in the Blue Mountains. Plan on the entire day exploring. Walk, take the rides and take lots of great pics.
This an opportunity to see some of the hidden wonders of Australia. Our first stop was Featherdale. It was a thrill to feed the koalas. Had lunch in Leura. Delightful little artsy village. Viewed the 3 sisters. Enjoyed all Scenic Railway and Skyrail. Tony was our driver. He provided lots of history lessons mixed with Aussie music and helpful tips.
The activities were very enjoyable and our tour guide was affable and knowledgeable, however the drop off at the ferry was completely unacceptable. We were left stranded. This is the report from the transit agency. Ferry passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend as ongoing industrial action impacts Sydney Ferries services. Transdev Sydney Ferries has advised that F3 Parramatta River services will not operate on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September. I called our guide to get help and there was no response. All 11 of us were left stranded in a city with which we were not familiar. This was irresponsible bordering on dangerous. My wife and I are in our 70’s and my wife and I are dealing with some ambulatory issues. I would not travel with FJ tours or use your booking service again.
Had a great day trip from Sydney. Really enjoyed the animal park, the beautiful views, walking through the rainforest at scenic world. Aaron was a great guide. It was a good company to work with.
Full day of action! Aaron was great from FJ Tours and booking via Viator app as great. All messaging in app to confirm pick up time and place. Saw what we wanted and had just enough time to wander at each stop.
Great experience. Graeme our guide took care of us, was jovial, and knowedgable. Stops were a bit shorter than we wanted but compressing an entire day from Sydney it’s to be expected.
