Itinerary
Start your adventure with a visit to Sydney Zoo, where you’ll meet native animals like kangaroos, koalas, and more. Explore the koala trail, and catch a fascinating indigenous artefact demonstration inside the Talking Hut. Don’t miss the massive reptile and nocturnal house—home to the largest collection of its kind—before grabbing a coffee and taking a quick break.
Take in the sweeping views of the Jamison Valley and gaze upon the iconic Three Sisters rock formation. Browse through local souvenir shops offering sparkling crystals and precious opals, then wander along the sandstone cliff edges and admire the ancient rock formations stretching all the way to Mount Gibraltar.
Pause for lunch in the picturesque village of Leura, known for its charming cafes and wide variety of food choices—from hearty burgers and woodfired pizzas to fresh salads and sweet treats like ice cream and handmade chocolates. Try the unique kangaroo burger or kangaroo pastry in a rich goulash sauce, or bring your own lunch to enjoy in the peaceful park. A local supermarket is also nearby for extra snacks or essentials.
Enjoy a self-guided hike along the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. There are a number of spectacular lookouts to enjoy including Orphan Rock Lookout, Katoomba Falls Lookout, Cliff View Lookout and Juliet's Balcony. The stunning views of the Blue Mountains are unparalleled on this walk along the clifftops.
Conclude the tour with a relaxing ferry ride along the Parramatta River, bypassing city traffic. Enjoy stunning views as you pass under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and arrive at Circular Quay near the Opera House.

Our tour guide Kyle was so personable, informative and friendly. He mentioned he grew up in the Blue Mountains so he certainly knew the history and the best places for views. Highly recommend this tour and adding the vehicular and train. Amazing!
The Blue Mountains was a phenomenal day trip from Sydney. It was a tour of 16 which was a great number. The driver/guide (Kyle) was punctual and helpful in all areas.
This tour is fast-paced, with not much time at each location. The zoo offered an opportunity to see Australian animals. Lunch was too brief to finish my lunch by the time it was prepared. Then, the weather was bad, so the Three Sisters wasn’t visible. I just got drenched from the rain and was unhappy. Because of the bad weather, this tour wasn’t worth the time it took from my vacation. It also has two hours at the end of the tour for visiting Scenic World. With such bad weather, I’m sure that excursion wasn’t any good. However, I didn’t even know that was part of the tour, and my ticket didn’t include Scenic World rides. So I basically just ended up waiting around for two hours (sopping wet!) for the tour to finish. The radio music on the bus was also very loud. I couldn’t even drown it out using my AirPods. Overall, the zoo was my highlight and it went downhill from there…
Our guide The Polish crocodile Dundee was the best guide!
Mark was very friendly and so knowledgeable. He was a very safe driver, we got some naps in but also learned a lot! He was very kind and patient and helped out any way he could the whole day with tips and with history along the way. I would absolutely recommend this tour and the only thing I didn’t know going in was to purchase the scenic world rides ahead of time, but you didn’t have to purchase those if you didn’t want to do them and still walk around and explore. Also the scenic world food was pretty good!
We (2 adults and kids ages 11, 12, 15) had a great trip from Sydney with Tom. A highlight at Featherdale was seeing the blue fairie penguins, koalas, and kangaroos. We popped into a diner for delicious donuts, stopped in Leura for lunch, made a handful of stops in Blue Mountain National Park (including at waterfalls and the Three Sisters viewing platform, a little bit of hiking involving steps but nothing too strenuous or difficult for our active group). Our guide was knowledgeable and shared various tips and information about the area, and he was a true steward of the land (stopping other tourists from feeding birds which can be very harmful). Communication was good. The drive felt safe and was pleasant. It was a lovely day, highly recommend this tour and Tom.
Prompt & fuss free tour, driver Alan is friendly and has great background knowledge of the area of the tour.
As the weather was a bit too wet, we decided to go into scenic world, instead of just hiking around and we're glad we did as it was fun going on the difference rides, it was still quite a busy place but lines moved very quickly. It was really easy to book online and pick up our tickets. The Sydney zoo was lovely and the guided tour interesting. As always we wish we had more time to explore, especially at the bottom of the valley and really take it in, read the signs about the history of the area but all in all it was a good day out. The ferry ride back to circula quay was easy and efficient.
Overall a fantastic experience. We would recommend a little more time at the Zoo and a map of the total Zoo would have been helpful. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The Blue Mountains were absolutely stunning.
So humbling to be able to visit and experience this area. We had a visit to a zoo and local village (Leura) before going to three sisters at Echo point and onto scenic world.
Great variety of pickup spots and the bus was comfortable. After I got on, I found that all the other passengers had booked directly with the company website - and had an additional tour option. In fact, I had to show the itinerary to the bus driver because he was not aware of it. My option was to go on my own for the walk at the end or find a way to get online to get a ticket for that other option. I really wanted to go for a walk and did not think that other option would be worth the money. 1. The zoo was okay. I did not realize the option to be able to feed a kangaroo. Besides Australian animals, the zoo had African animals and some dinosaur animatronics but that was all. 2. The next stop after the zoo were to places to eat and shop. 3. The third stop was to an overlook and where you could also eat/shop. 4. And the last stop is where the other bus passengers had their additional activity. The driver led me to a path where I could walk and I had a time to get back. But I found that many of the paths were being reconstructed with detours and the one that was not was a LOT of steps down (and up). And no "complimentary aboriginal cultural talk with an experienced guide" So basically the tour consisted of activities I could to for the cost of a bus ticket.
We had a great day. Paul was friendly, helpful, knowledgable of the Blue Mountain area, he even went out of his way to show us how to buy tickets for the ferry.
Fantastic day in the Blue Mountains. Great trip to the relatively new zoo! Beautiful scenery in the mountains!! Our tour guide Paul was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Fun day with him!! Highly recommended!!
It is a mildly physical. Large groups. Recheck meet up times. Ours was wrong meet up one hour too early
The climb is harder than tou think but worth the pain. The tour huide was informative and respectful to all persona on tour
Pickup was punctual and luckily we were one of the first onboard. Irene, our driver, gave us a running commentary on our way around the city pointing out the salient spots. Irene, I should explain is an Aussie with a great Aussie sense of humour and has a colorful way about her. Our first stop was the Sydney Zoo where besides the exotic animals we were reminded of the broad range of fauna and of the creatures that can kill you. An early lunch at a small village called Leura in preparation for a longer stay at the Blue Mountain’s viewing area and the opportunity to ride on the cable cars. We finished the tour at the Olympic Park ferry pier where we were able to catch the ferry back to Circular Quay. I thought this was an added bonus. Payment for the ferry ride was additional but easy. One can use the tap-on/tap-off facility with one’s credit card and then it’s just sit back and relax. It was a great tour and I would recommend it to all ages.
Our driver, Irene was great. In addition to excellent driving skills, she went out of her way to explain everything about our excursion. Then along the ride she gave us interesting explanations about the city of Sydney, transportation tips and interesting information about the Blue Mountains explorers. The mountains themselves were extraordinary.
We have spent 5 weeks in Australia and Irene has been the best tour guide yet. She was informative and entertaining. I highly recommend this trip. 10/10 for your moneys worth. The zoo was a nice touch too. Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters is. breathtaking.
Emma was a great driver and guide She gave out an appropriate amount of information and was willing to answer my questions. The only "issue " was the detours at the Blue Mtns. We still managed to have a good walk. It would have been better to have Emma lead the walk. If course, she had no control over the detours. Emma was great at the ferry helping all who needed her assistance . I Would recommend Viator and Emma. I thought a great value to see the zoo and the Blue Mountains.
The experiences themselves were incredible, but the day itself was planned very well. The zoo, lunch, blue mountains and scenic world were all amazing and there was no idle or wasted time, even with a large group. We felt we had enough time to enjoy everything but didn’t feel bogged down being with a group. Irene is very passionate about her job and you can tell she genuinely cares about the groups experience
Breathtaking experience of natural beauty at the three sisters and katoomba falls coupled with exhilarating travel through three technical marvels at Scenic world
A great full day experience exploring the Sydney Zoo, a local town for lunch, and plenty of time to explore the fabulous Blue Mountains. Mark was an interesting guide with lots of local information. My only concern was that our tickets for the scenic World were not included and had to be purchased separately, so that was a minor inconvenience. Double check what’s on offer-if it seems too cheap, that’s why.
Kieran was fantastic as our tour guide and driver. Learned a lot about the Blue Mountains National Park and Australian traditions.
Pick up was too late from 7:55. Bush walk with driver was wonderful. We need some water in bus and extra.. Tour costs were little expensive than the content's of day tour.
The whole tour was mis advertised no mention it was Sydney western zoo the only added value was reg bus ride and enterence to zoo every thing was self funded a rip off
I booked a Blue Mountains day tour via Viator for $159, expecting it to finish around 6:30 PM. However, it ended at 4:30 PM. The guide gave minimal commentary, and cable car tickets weren’t included. While the tour covered the Blue Mountains and the zoo, the biggest issue was the drop-off. We were picked up in Sydney CBD but dropped at Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf, leaving us to find our own way back. This was inconvenient and unclear. I’d like to file a complaint about the early finish and the unexpected drop-off location.
Overall this was a good tour with some fun stops. The Sydney Zoo opened in 2019 and is one of the nicer zoos I’ve been to with an area to pay extra to take photos with koalas. The Blue Mountains are beautiful and I think we made the right choice in not paying extra for the cable car/train. We went in December when school was out so lines were super long for the cable car/train. Our tour guide was helpful and had a great positive attitude. I think we may have gotten a bit unlucky on this tour but we were late to be picked up twice on the tour. Our tour was full with 35 people. When you have that many people on a tour there are more likely to be issues - people on our group were so late to come back to the bus (once 50 minutes late) we missed a ferry and almost missed another one. This was separate from the other 2 times we were picked up late. We only had about 10 minutes to see the 3 sisters as a result of the people on our tour being late and couldn’t do the toucan feeding. When we got to the zoo, we were told our tour company didn’t book the kangaroo feeding ahead of time so we weren’t able to do that as advertised in the tour description. We got pretty lost on the Blue Mountain self guided tour and spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to get to the car park. Others in our group were confused as well. There was never mention of where to get water so we were often out of water on the tour including on the Blue Mountain walking. We eventually found a store that sold water for purchase in the National park.
Gabriel our driver was great. We booked our tour with Viator ($116 aus) We were picked up on a “sightseeing tours Australia” bustour! The other people on the bus paid $99 (aus) for the same trip. You better book it with “Sightseeing tours Australia” To save the money. Same trip only $17 (aus) less. The tour was worthwhile.
Be very careful when booking, as the page may crush on you a few times and resets just some of the details, e.g. the date, so my booking jumped to the following day from what I wanted to be a January booking. Of course, it is my fault for not checking the details the 3rd time the page crushed while at payment stage...
Stunning scenes and excellent guide. He provides lots of histories and teach us some aussie languages in a humorous way! He gave us an impressive and a memorable trip!
The lunch stop was a bit early for lunch. It would have been better to have had longer at Scenic World so that there was time to both have lunch and go on the cable car to see the dinosaurs.
Great trip . My family enjoyed the experience. Mark was great driver and tour guide. Fully knowledge with Australian history. Very impressed.
The trip to the blue mountains was amazing. Out tour guide Greg really made the whole eperience extra interesting and exciting!
Mark is a passionate and knowledgeable tour guide. I learnt a lot about the history, fauna and flora of Australia and the Blue Mountain region.
We really enjoyed the tour, especially for the combination of activities, which most other tours we looked at didn't have. The Sydney Zoo was a nice inclusion...small enough to really see the animals, and including a very interesting presentation. We also liked the option of a "bush walk" over time at Scenic World, which most other tours didn't offer. We enjoyed the walk and beautiful views! Taking the ferry back was on our own, but our bus driver made sure that everyone got onboard, and it was a lovely way to end the day on the water rather than just another bus ride.
We took the tour to the blue mountains today and the zoo it was absolutely FUN !! Our tour guide Irene was soo good. We didn’t have a single dull moment. She was helpful and kind and this route was so so more enjoyable because of her
We only had two days in Sydney and wanted to get the most of visiting the area. While the longer day tour was booked, this was a good alternative. The tour guide and driver, Chris, was very informative. I did not feel rushed at any of the places we visited. The visit to Blue Mountains was amazing. Note that you do need to pay for the entry to Scenic World Adventures which is well worth it. I would have liked to have spent more time in Laure which had small shops, but we only stopped there for lunch. The return into Sydney was also good as we took a ferry back and got to enjoy the great views. We happened to be there during the Bastille celebration in The Rocks. There was lots to eat and entertain at this festival. They were also celebrating Christmas in July, which was fun to see since I am from the US.
Our driver Irene was working a double job as a bus driver & the tour guide.. overall we had a lovely day and Irene was very informative from the start of tour until the end. Excellent
Our tour guide/driver lady was very friendly and has a great sense of humor. The tour was very informative and a stop at Sydney Zoo was memorable. Highly recommended ❤️
I'm leaving 5 stars mainly for the guide who was very good. The amount of time at each activity was good, and felt like a good 1 day trip from Sidney. Blue Mountain is amazing, beautiful sights but the zoo, unless this is your only chance in Australia to view these animals, I would say skip. A lot of animals were not in their enclosures, or still asleep when we got there, and some animals could have benefited from more space.
The pickup time on the final ticket clearly write 7 am, but my confirmation query and the actual pickup time was 8 am. We got up very early and waited more than 1 hour for the pickup. I guess this kind of mistake is caused by business to business miscommunication. Blue Mountain usually is very popular but caused big traffic. Our tour started at 8 am and went to Sydney Zoo at first to spent more than 1 hour. Than we had to pay the traffic cost and reduced the Blue Mountain visiting time. I suggest if the operator company like many other competitor companies started from 7 am and visited Sydney Zoo in return time, we could add 2-3 hours to visit the big Blue Mountain National Park’s one more location, e.g., the botanical garden or the beautiful lake. Possible?
Fab tour of the Blue Mountains and Sydney Zoo. Guide was great. Scenic World optional extra. We didn't do that but did a self guided bush walk instead which took us to all the look outs. Would recommend.
We waited about an hour to be picked up (along with others), as we were not informed that the pickup time at our pickup location was an hour later than posted. Once the tour began everything was great. Our tour guide was engaging and pointed out interesting sights along the way. The trip to the Sydney Zoo was ok...we saw kangaroos and koalas, a Tasmanian devil and an emu. The highlight of the trip was the Blue Mountains...absolutely gorgeous scenery. We opted to do the bush walk after lunch rather than take the gondola ride at Scenic World. The weather was perfect and the lookout point views were amazing. So glad we did this tour!
The lunch was not provided despite taking meal options. We were asked to pay for ferry on our way back.Very unprofessional
The scenic views was amazing. I went for the bus walk rather going on the scenic rides, totally worth it! The tour guide was great and was honest when giving us tips on how to make the most of the day.
Great tour - good mix of sightseeing and walking. Kieran, our guide, was superb. Good stops and great recommendations. Highly recommend.
Good trip. Our driver and guide was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. We chose a tour without entry to Scenic World which wasn't for us. However we came away with the feeling that the prime objective of the tour was to get everyone to Scenic World as soon as possible. Time at the zoo, 3 sisters and lunch all felt rushed just to get to the afternoon activity.
Great trip, tour guild was brilliant and very knowledgeable. Had a stop at the zoo which was nice, but didn't have time to see all the animals. I would recommend to try the kangaroo burger when they stop for lunch at Leura...
The experience is amazing, the lady bus driver/guide is a local sydney and she was very kind and providing us with so many information and tips for this blue mountain trip and also traveling tips in sydney.
