We stayed here after a day at Luna Park, and the night before a cheer comp in Sydney olympic park. Easy walk to luna park, and less than 25 minutes drive to Olympic Park. Check in staff were friendly and the process was quick and easy. Parking easy to find and use. Room was great - clean and bed was comfy. Views of the harbour were amazing.
This hotel is wonderful for the price. Are things perfect, no - but none of the negatives were a show stopper. The rooms are comfortable and tidy and quiet. I didn't hear anyone else at all and I had a room right opposite the lift lobby. The staff were always so helpful and wonderful and I was able to check in early with no issues or extra charges which was wonderful as I just got off an overnight flight. There are two train stations within walking distance so getting anywhere is a breeze. And I walked/run across the bridge everyday since it was right there. The vents in the room were a dusty and needed a good clean. The city view room didn't have sheer curtains and you could see in from the street so that is something to note (if you like to look out the window closely!). You can hear/feel the trains like a light rumble but again, barely noticeable. For the cost to benefit ratio I highly recommend staying here.
The View is a lovely hotel with excellent amenities, fantastic views and fresh rooms. The breakfast is exceptional and the coffee was good. The only downside is that it is located above North Sydney station so you can hear and feel the trains right up till 12 midnight and on again from 5:30am. Maybe the upper rooms are shielded from this but level 1 isn't. This was the only issue I had, so if you do choose to book, make it clear you want a quiet room. Nothing worse than seeing noise blocking ear buds in the bathroom.
I was lucky enough to stay on Level 14, and the view was absolutely amazing! The room was great, and the bed was comfortable. The location is incredibly convenient it's an easy spot to catch transport from, especially coming straight from the airport. It’s also within easy walking distance of a Coles Local and plenty of other food places. The train noise is noticeable, but honestly, if you do your research before booking, it’s exactly what you should expect. Having an Apple TV box in the room was also a fantastic feature!
Fantastic views and a very pleasant stay. View Hotel Sydney was a very pleasant stay for a business trip and great value. The hotel has fantastic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, including my Bridge view room. Short walk (or morning run) down to Lavender Bay and if you want down to Luna Park and the Bridge. Excellent location next to my clients in North Sydney business district and many dining options. Train station is only 100 metres away, so easy access via public transport around Sydney. Dinner and Breakfast were very tasty and excellent value. Staff were pleasant and helpful with extra requests and general service. Looked like they enjoy working there, which is always a good sign. There is a train subway directly underneath the station, so train rumbles through the building. I actually found that a distinctive part of the experience, not a hindrance or distraction. Fun to think about all that great engineering. It's a very pleasant hotel overall and you cannot beat that view, especially for the very reasonable price! Would be happy to stay there again.
