Very small room, which didn’t bother me travelling alone. You couldn’t fit two in there. Comfortable bed, quiet and good air con. However the old cheap TV has a bright standby light that shoots into your face all night. Cleanliness definitely not up to snuff. Bathroom walls covered in hair. Dozens of tiny flying insects in the shower. Not good. A mismatched assemblage of old ironing boards and irons are available in the hallway. Not even a consistent type.
The main positives of this hotel are the location (very central & multiple different public transport options) and the staff. However, we stayed here twice recently (on the way to and from an international holiday) and the first room we had looked onto a rooftop terrace which staff were often walking around on, making it quite awkward to get changed etc and the only curtain in the room had to constantly be closed. The rooms themselves are also incredibly small and sort of awkwardly laid out so there’s literally nowhere to walk if you have more than one suitcase. The hotel itself is also quite old and dusty, and the rooms get a lot of condensation. All in all for the location and price point I’d consider staying here again, but not for extended periods of time.
The staff were absolutely lovely! I especially wanted to mention a lady who was working the evening/morning shift on 4th June. I had an extremely early flight and needed to leave the hotel in the early hours of the morning. She noticed that I felt a little unsafe outside while waiting for my taxi, so she kindly stayed with me and made sure I was okay until it arrived. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but I wanted to say a huge thank you to her for being so caring and thoughtful.
So convenient near Central Station and Park. Lovely room accessable by lift. Everything clean and neat and bed was huge for one person. Sooooo comfortable. Greeted with smiles and welcomed with a nice chat. Room already had a card for light etc. Nice bar downstairs. Comfortable lounge and large tables if you need to work on computer. Convenient resturant off reception if you don't want to go out. Will definately stay again.
Front desk service great. Very helpful and happy. Lobby looks great. Ideal location easy walk to everything. Price of room is competitive for the area, given the room size. Very small rooms. Very old building and it shows throughout the corridor going to rooms. Old, dated and a little smelly. House keeping for room was ok, but needs to be improved, Place was dusty all over- tv, bedhead windows sill, and aircon needs cleaning, lucky our windows could open. Fridge had a little mould and spillage but I cleaned it. So housekeeping need alike attention to detail for cleanliness.
