Read the bad reviews before you book!! When you enter the lobby area you get the sense that your stay is going to be luxurious and quite the experience. You’re first engulfed by a beautiful fragrance permeating throughout the lobby, however, that experience stops right there! The rooms are extremely dated and dreary. Stained chairs, unclean bathrooms and unclean carpets. We had to change rooms as they placed us right next to the clock tower that would ring the bell every few minutes! You could not sleep!! The second room they moved us to was horrendous! On arrival the bathroom sink was blocked! No place to plug the kettle to make a cup of tea, side table and cupboards were chipped everywhere. They say black out curtains but there is so much light coming through from the curtains it disrupts your sleep! And towels smelled liked oil. Breakfast was abysmal! Apart from the hot items, egg station and the friendly chef making the eggs, every other item is not 5 star standard! The pastries were dry and stale, the waffles were bread like with a bad after taste and no hot water to even make a cup of tea! The in house food was revolting! We ordered the Korean fried chicken - while it looked good from the outside, it was not palatable, just horrendous. These people have not actually tasted the food before putting these items on the menu!! The bed is comfortable but the pillows are flat, uncomfortable and unsupportive to your neck! There are so many things wrong with this hotel, too long to list. However, it was the staff that saved our stay, by their service and attentiveness. They try so hard to make up for what the hotel is lacking. Thank you to Andrew, Leka and Sammy for their kindness and efforts - by trying to help make up for our poor experience. This hotel is no where near a 5 star hotel. It is no where near worth the price you pay for. This place is that one hotel where you really need to read the bad reviews - to help save your money. I wish I had!

Me and my friends had dessert and tea at Akari in Fullerton this afternoon and had such a lovely experience. The dessert was beautifully presented and delicious, and the tea was the perfect complement. The atmosphere was relaxing and elegant, and the staff were friendly and attentive especially Akari. She’s really giving us 5 star service with pleasing personality. It was a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful afternoon treat. I would definitely come back!
I I had a great experience at Fullerton Singapore, so I came in expecting a similar standard when I was looking for accomodation in Sydney. Unfortunately, this did not feel like a true five star hotel. The rooms are showing their age. The biggest issue was the shower, where the water temperature fluctuated between freezing cold and scalding hot without touching the controls. For a hotel at this level, that simply shouldn’t happen. There were also a number of smaller details that detracted from the experience. The carpets felt overdue for a deep clean and had a noticeable musty smell. While it may sound minor, the toilets do not even have soft close lids. I cannot recall the last five star hotel I’ve stayed at that lacked such a basic feature, and I’ve seen it in plenty of three and four star properties. That said, there were some real highlights. The staff were consistently friendly, professional and efficient throughout my stay. The courtyard is absolutely stunning and was easily my favourite part of the hotel. It’s a wonderful place to work, relax with a coffee, and appreciate the history of the building. The effort that has gone into preserving and showcasing the heritage of the property is genuinely impressive. Overall, the building and service have all the ingredients of a luxury hotel, but the condition of the rooms and some basic maintenance issues mean the experience falls short of what I would expect from a five star property.
We had such a wonderful stay. A 24 hour staycation with one of my friends and it was much needed. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless with a smooth and efficient check-in process. We were fortunate to receive a room upgrade which was such a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated. The room was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable making our stay even more enjoyable. The buffet was another highlight, offering a fantastic variety of food with plenty of options to suit everyone. Everything was fresh, delicious and well presented. A big thank you to the team for making our stay so memorable. We are very grateful for the upgrade and exceptional hospitality and we look forward to returning.
Really enjoyed my stay here. The service wasn’t overly luxurious, but the staff were very accommodating and made sure everything I requested was prepared, which made the stay feel really special. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. What I loved most was the atmosphere of the hotel. It’s not an overly modern hotel, but that’s exactly what gives it so much character and aesthetic charm. The heritage style mixed with subtle modern touches made the experience feel unique and different from other hotels I’ve stayed at in Sydney. The view over Martin Place was beautiful, and the location was incredibly convenient as well.
