Great hotel for city exploring. The hotel is located near Martin Place train station. It is a 5-10 mins walk to Circular Quay, for sightseeing and train and tram options. There are also many buses available as well. There some restaurants in the immediate area but I would not say it is in the heart of the action, but that is ok. It means it is generally quiet. The room is a good size, clean and nicely furnished. I believe it was renovated recently. The aircon is better, and the TV is better. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good. I had the privilege of access to the Executive Lounge. Cocktails was more crowded than I remember. The food is good, and maybe a little stepped down from what I last remember. The cocktails offered was also not are good as before, but still acceptable. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Very comfortable and friendly hotel with excellent amenities. Short walk from Martin Place metro and train stations. The breakfast in Delta Rue restaurant was very good. We had dinner on night at Tilda (restaurant in the foyer) and the food and service was fabulous. They make a top-notch martini. The only thing that could have been improved from the whole stay was that the hotel door stays open and creates a wind tunnel that blows through part of the restaurant. The tables around us also commented on this though a staff member told us the door couldn't be closed. It wasn't awful, just sub-par. We also got to use the recovery room in the gym and really enjoyed the saunas (regular and infra-red) and trying the cold showers and plunge pools. Came out super relaxed. The gym employee who explained everything to us was super helpful.
Loved our stay! Especially Charles who helped us decorate our room free of charge with balloons for our birthday gals night away! Also received TWO birthday sets which included drinks (which they politely swapped to non-alcoholic for us) and plenty of chocolate treats. Love the aesthetic too! Olive greens mahogany solid brown timber - obsessed!
We recently stayed at the Sofitel Wentworth and had a pleasant experience overall. We were impressed with the self check-in process, which was quick, easy and a great start to our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, and we dined at Delta Rue on both nights of our stay. The black pepper steak and the drunken chicken noodles were both outstanding. Our waiter, Chris, was incredibly friendly, attentive and provided the best service. He really made our dining experience memorable. The main downside was the lifts, which were extremely slow and often involved a long wait. Breakfast service could also be improved. I ordered a coffee at the breakfast buffet, but after waiting quite a while it never arrived. I had to ask about it and reorder before finally receiving it. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay with excellent food, exceptional service at Delta Rue, and a smooth self check-in experience. With improvements to the lift efficiency and breakfast service, it would be an even better experience.
My stay was nothing short of extraordinary — and I'm genuinely impressed. I truly felt the value of my Platinum membership in ways other properties in the chain simply haven't delivered. Exceptional food — every bite was memorable. Impeccable room — spotless, thoughtful, and inviting. The staff? Absolutely top-tier — from the club lounge team to Alexanda, who personally assisted me at checkout with genuine care. This is what hospitality should feel like💜
