Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our Sydney trip. The lounge was a lovely place to retreat to between outings, and the evening canapés and drinks made the whole experience feel particularly special. Our room was comfortable, quiet and beautifully maintained, and the hotel itself has that rare combination of feeling luxurious without being stiff or intimidating. The pool and spa facilities were also excellent and gave us a chance to properly unwind after busy days exploring Sydney. What really stood out, though, was how easy the Sheraton made everything feel. The location is superb, but once we were back at the hotel it genuinely felt like somewhere we could decompress. Travelling as a family, and with one of us having limited energy, having somewhere so comfortable and well run to return to was invaluable. The staff throughout our stay were warm, professional and helpful We left feeling thoroughly looked after and rather reluctant to leave. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Sydney. A genuinely excellent hotel and an easy five stars.

We stayed in an Executive Club room for 3 nights. The rooms are dated and a little tired. Bed was comfortable. The club is very crowded especially early evening and it could be very difficult to find a seat. The food offering is skewed toward the Asian market and not typical of hors d'oeuvres you might expect at upmarket 5 star hotels. The breakfast was OK but a very minimal offering. Unlike other lounges, you cannot get a barista made coffee, only coffee machines available. Check in was very average. Despite telling the agent it was my first time staying here he gave me no overview of the hotel or explanation of facilities. He didn't even direct us to the lift. Average experience at this hotel. Would only stay here again if i got a fantastic deal and wouldn't bother booking a club room.

Both wedding anniversary and 52 birthday , I was very keen to splash out a bit and settled on Sheraton Grand. Last year stayed at Shangri La at the rocks - the views there are stunning- but I am all for giving chances and Sheraton did not disappoint. Bed is fluffy and comfortable, very nice bath robes, generous window and view of the park. Bath and shower well appointed, good beverage selection, great work desk, fantastic storage spaces. Location is the best, accessible, super convenient and close to Pitt street Mall. Everything about the hotel oozes luxury, from the entrance to the corridors. Staff extremely well trained and eager to please, gave us koko black chocolate box. Fruit bowl and still water complimentary. Only one aspect holds me back from 5 stars 🌟, I think the upsell for room upgrade should be done on email instead of at check in. Otherwise, for $465, such good value, thoroughly recommend the hotel.

The staff were excellent. The hotel lobby was amazing. Trying to figure out the lighting situation in the room was difficult. It seemed it was mostly all or nothing- you either have all the lights on or just the night light. Also I couldn't use the pool, spa or sauna. At 7am in a Sunday morning, two people were doing laps in the pool, two people were in the small spa and two people in the small sauna. So it got over crowded. Have extended opening times I think would help.
