This is going to be a very mixed review! I have tried to share things I would want to know. Please note we booked direct with the hotel and didn’t use air BnB or a third party. POSITIVES - location for the cost is very close to unbeatable. We stayed 5 nights in a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment for an average of $316 a night. - the apartment was quite large and aside from a full size fridge it did also have a washing machine, dryer and lounge area - location is insane! 3 min walk to light rail. 5/6 mins to the ICC. 7/8 mins to cockle bay wharf! . You exit the hotel using a walkway into a car park then have a clear walkway and lift to get you to the light rail or ICC. Really easy signposting to follow - a one hour later checkout was no drama and they will hold your luggage for the day if you are a hotel guest (the couple in front of us were very upset they were in an air BnB and the hotel wouldn’t hold luggage) - we stayed in winter and the old style heater still worked very well - view from the main bedroom in 2x2 apartment 1330 was beautiful NEGATIVES - dust. Omg I’ve never seen anything like it. The carpets, curtains, curtains and bedrooms are coated in dust. I woke up coughing from it all night long. My husband used a shelf jn the cupboard and had many regrets - the road noise on level 13 was fine (could hear but it was a constant hum so easy to adapt to) but one of the bedrooms faced into the open hallway / room entry areas. Loud and obnoxious people outside at all hours was a really big issue and we have seen this in many other comments too - wifi is completely unuseable. If you need it work, this is not the place for you - pool and spa are a great service but were so ridiculously busy we never got to use it - bathrooms are out dated and one has a shower over bath with no handholds or rails, this is not accessible - there is a real mix here of residents, hotel guests and air bnb. This means you get a huge mix of people and some were very, very entitled. Loud talking, smoking where it clearly says not to, pushing to the front of lift lines etc. Staff do nothing as I guess they can’t. - unfortunately our generally positive stay was a bit spoilt on the final day. We had a late check out to 11am and took our rubbish to the waste area (they threaten a $350 cleaning fee if you don’t) and our room key then wouldn’t let us back in. So off we went down 13 floors to get it sorted. They apologised and fixed the card assuring us all was good. Back up….nope, still locked out. I have a physical disability so this was starting to really get to me. We ended up ringing the hotel directly from the hallway we were stuck in and asking someone to come up….took them awhile but eventually they let us back in. I wouldn’t have been so annoyed if it was just the first time but the second failure wasn’t a great look. There wasn’t even a vague attempt at an apology either.

A good place to stay with a family. What an intriguing building! The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Everything was a bit old though and they to watch it doesn't get (too) outdated. Wifi was slow. The sheets were too small for the beds, which was weird. The kids had a good time at the pool. Too bad the spa was out of order.
I have stayed at Oaks Goldsbrough whenever I'm in Sydney for business for the past 10 years, so this experience has been extremely disappointing. I had already prepaid my booking using my American Express card for $187.32. Despite this, the hotel charged my account an additional $2,288.87 without my authorisation. They later refunded only $2,123.15, leaving me $165.72 out of pocket with no explanation. I reported the issue immediately, yet five days later I have still received no response from management. For a loyal customer of 10 years, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Mistakes can happen, but taking thousands of dollars from a guest's account without authorisation should be treated as an urgent matter. At the very least, I expected a prompt explanation, a full refund, and communication from management. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in Oaks Goldsbrough.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic stay at Oaks Sydney Goldsbrough Apartments! We booked a Penthouse Level 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment and were absolutely blown away by how spacious it was for the price we paid. The location is excellent, with a short walk to the light rail, Darling Harbour, and ICC Sydney, making it very convenient for getting around and enjoying the city. One thing to note is that the hallways do have a unique look that initially reminded us of an American jail, and our kids were a little unsure at first. However, we quickly came to appreciate the character and uniqueness of the building—it’s very different from a typical hotel experience. The apartment facilities were amazing, and the reception staff were wonderful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Hardeep Kaur and her manager for their exceptional customer service and accommodating nature. Their friendly and welcoming approach truly enhanced our experience. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already decided to rebook for another weekend in a few weeks when we return to Sydney. — Heer Family, Brisbane
We had a great stay at Oaks Sydney Goldsbrough, a large, well-located property that’s easy to access and makes getting into the CBD a breeze. While we didn’t use the pool, spa or sauna on this visit, it was good knowing they were available and we’ll definitely take advantage of them next time. There are countless restaurants, bars and pubs within easy walking distance. The suite itself was spacious, clean and well-appointed. It’s set up perfectly for if you want to cook at home or order in. The kitchen had all the essentials including a pod coffee machine, a selection of teas, a full-size fridge and freezer, plus all the utensils, cookware, plates, bowls, cutlery and glassware you’d need to prepare a proper meal. The bedroom was generous in size, with a large double wardrobe offering plenty of hanging space and drawers. The living area was roomy and comfortable, if a little on the plain side, with a decent lounge, coffee table and TV. There was also a good-sized balcony, although our view was of the laneway and parking area behind the building. On the topic of parking, we opted for Wilson Parking about 50 metres up the road instead of the Secure Park attached to the property, as it worked out to be roughly half the price. The Wilson parking was directly accessible via the 2nd level. Staff were friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with. I requested an early check-in and was in our room by midday, which was genuinely appreciated. Overall, it was a very solid stay and one we’d happily repeat.
