Location is excellent. I booked a family suite. Room size was generous. There were flaky paint works in bathroom . Furniture is also not the best but more like average. Gaps in sofa bed and exposed metal posed hazard for small kids. The garbage disposal place (in basement) was infested with rats and looked abandoned. Staff is generally polite and helpful. Its advertised as a 4 star hotel but doesn’t meet that standard.

When arriving the parking out the front you had to park on the road. When checking in they said don’t leave your car “ the parking experts come out of nowhere” so how I was expected to do both was beyond me. When arriving to my room it was very tied looking and need of a revamp. My main disappointment was the beds they were very worn and had a major sinking in the middle. I brought this to the lovely reception and they said all they can do is pass my concerns onto the manager. I asked if they could asked if they can call me. This did not happen but rather a terrible small bottle of wine and small box of chocolates. When they were delivered I asked if they could come in and have a look how terribly warm they were but again not comment, just to say thank you for telling them and left. I did not get a call or an offer of compensation for a very worn and sad motel
⭐ 0 Stars (if that were possible) An extremely disappointing and stressful experience. We booked a room for a client who uses a power wheelchair and specifically contacted the hotel on four separate occasions between making the reservation and arriving. Each time, we were assured that the room booked was fully accessible and suitable for a power wheelchair user. Upon arrival, it became immediately apparent that the room was not accessible at all. Basic accessibility requirements had clearly not been considered, making the room completely unsuitable for our client's needs. To make matters worse, when this was raised with staff, we were informed that an immediate refund could not be processed. This left our client approximately $1,000 out of pocket while we urgently scrambled to find alternative accessible accommodation at short notice. What made the experience even more frustrating was discovering that the alternative accommodation we secured at the last minute not only met all of our client's accessibility requirements but exceeded them. It offered everything we needed and more, yet cost only marginally more than the room at Mantra Sydney Central. This highlighted just how poor the value for money was, given the room we had originally been sold was neither suitable nor accurately represented. For a hotel that advertises accessible accommodation, providing inaccurate information about room accessibility is unacceptable. It caused significant stress, inconvenience, and financial hardship for a wheelchair user who had taken every reasonable step to confirm suitability before arrival. I would strongly caution anyone with accessibility requirements to obtain detailed written confirmation of room features before booking, as verbal assurances were not reflected in reality.
So here's the thing I travel often all over the world and I seek comfort and budget options most often. Price and location for this stay stood out as I chose a quick last minute stay . 👌The Location hey market end of George Street Sydney ( Sunday night) was outstanding! Walk to so much and transport options right outside the door for anything else it's a great base. 👌Meals available everywhere no limits for food around this accommodation from steaks to classic Chinatown highlights and everything in between. The Room booked was a one bedroom apartment filled with mini kitchen and all inclusions plates utensils etc microwave mini fridge pots and more Queen bed in room with ensuite and a fold out in the lounge. 2x bathrooms total with toilet in each( rare in the city for this style of room and price point). Large lounge, dining and kitchen combo. 2x small balconies looked onto a wall( nothing fancy or pretty to see -mess bellow) rare in the city at this price point Then it hits .!.😬 - table was broken - inside of sliding door had splatter all over ( no idea what) - vents falling from roof - carpet worn Saying that - staff cleaned slide doors on request. And allowed a late check-out the following day. Could not fault the staff at front desk they were wonderful. ⚠️This Room #308 however had some issues including bath plus that did not fit ( to big) that were impossible to ignore as they were basic health and safety expectations as a traveller. Would I stay again...yes 🤔I would but I would be checking room prior the price point is great for its location so I would stay again in the right room.
Honestly would not stay here again Firstly, they said our room came with no room service at all even though we paid roughly 1600 for 4 nights, constantly having to ring for for towels, I think it should be mandatory to at least provide clean towels every day without having to go to reception every day and a fresh bed clean would be nice The tap in the kitchen leaked the whole stay. The room had a constant hum of damp. No shower door so shower water just went all over bathroom. The bed had loads and loads of stains all over it. Crisps all over the sofa on arrival and all over the floor. Staff very friendly and location is good, but yeah the room horrendous literally left there feeling poorly needs some seriously TLC would not come back ever
