Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney

We have had a lovely stay here. The staff are friendly helpful and go out of their way to make your stay special. We had a problem with our washing machine. They came and washed our clothes, gave us a bottle of wine and some crisps as an apology. They also offer $10 vouchers for each day u don’t get your room serviced The location is phenomenal The breakfast was sensational

Firstly, the location is excellent. You cannot beat it. You can walk to the Sydney Opera House and harbour in 10 minutes. There is a light rail station directly in front of the hotel. You can walk to the QVB and Strand area for shopping. Secondly, the rooms are huge and well appointed. Having a kitchen is super useful for easy breakfasts. Good bar area with high stools perfect for working. Thirdly, the staff were very helpful and answered all of myany questions. Special shoutout to them for helping me when I forgot my passport in the hotel safe and had to come back for it. They relieved a lot of stress on that one! Would definitely stay here again.

We found the staff to be fantastic especially Andrea on reception. Our first Executive room had a strong smell, was moved to another room which still had the musty smell but a lot better, the building is very old so that’s probably the reason. We received a bottle of wine and some chocolates for the inconvenience which was an unexpected surprise. The shower is in a bath which is challenging to get in and out of, so check before you book for a walk in shower if this would bother you. The Executive rooms have a seperate lounge with a fold out bed and full kitchen with coffee machine which would be great for families. These rooms are dark and a bit dated and in need of some love, if I decided to stay again I would book one of the smaller rooms as they looked much brighter. The pool/ spa has no cover any longer and the gym is small but functional. The stairwell up to this area is quite dirty and could do with a regular clean. The breakfast menu didn’t have a huge selection but was adequate and food was good as well as the coffee. Location wise the hotel is in a good position near Wynyard station, a light rail is out the front and a ten minute walk either direction to Circular Quay, Barangaroo, and the main shopping area. I booked online with Viator a Sydney bus tour which was fantastic for the price of $49.50 per person, it covered so many tourist spots easily and great photo opportunities. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, Executive rooms need an update.

Stayed here for work and I absolutely loved it. The room was nice and spacious, nice sectioning off for the bedroom vs living area (few steps down). Had a microwave, fridge, dishwasher, oven, stove, washing machine, dryer+. The temperature control was inside the wardrobe (so hard to find!). Facilities include gym and pool (on the rooftop, and has a small hot pool too). Restaurant downstairs. Central location. Would absolutely stay here again.
