Holiday Inn Darling Harbour, An Ihg Hotel

Extremely disappointing experience with Furama Darling Harbour. We paid around $1,400 for three nights, but the room was nothing like the photos advertised online. We raised our concerns, provided photos and tried to resolve the issue, but our refund was refused. We didn’t use the accommodation or breakfast, and the lack of a fair resolution has been incredibly frustrating. I would recommend double-checking your room carefully before booking.

This hotel is very recommended for family with 2 children staying in one room. I took the Superior Family room and it has enough space to put 4 luggages also to hang some clothes. It also has small pantry which is very useful to prepare small dishes. The water is amazing, I love the consistency of the hot water in this hotel. Minor feedback for the hotel cleaner in which they rarely smile to the guests while approaching in the lift or corridor hotel, but it's okay for me 😊. Location is superb since it's near by all the center of tram stops and paddy's market. Surely I will stay in the Furama Darling Harbour for my next visit to Sydney.

Earlier guest broken nail not cleaned for 3 nights in spite of telling the housekeeping and reception. See attached photo. Stained sheets not replaced for 3 nights in spite of telling the housekeeping and reception. See attached photo. Stained towel, torn towel and smelly damp towel (separate towels). See attached photos. Ac not cooling. Was sweating every night. Nothing done in spite of informing the concerned. Washroom dry area getting wet after shower as no complete glass, which made the floor extremely slippery and a safety hazard. See attached photo. Locker not working. Our valuables had to be left outside for a night. Locker was replaced the following day. On 30th June, we were locked out the room for 20mins with all our bags. Room door did not open. Hotel maintenance took 10 mins to open the room door and another 15 minutes to replace the lock Left the room in the morning at 8.45am on 1st July and got back at 6.15pm and the room was still not cleaned. Had hung “make my room” sign on the outer door handle while leaving the room. Gym smelt of a dead rat. Nothing done in spite of complaining. Hotel lobby and breakfast was abysmal. Hotel was 3 stars max. Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend it to anyone

I had a great day with this hotel! It was absolutely the best location for exploring Sydney by foot. There are so many good restaurants close by. The room was very clean and comfy. Especially the bed was so comfy that I could sleep so well. I want to visit again if I go to Sydney next time!
