10/10 Stay 🌊🥂 Strand Hotel Swakopmund is an absolute 10/10! ✨ From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne, which was the perfect start to our stay. 🥂 The location is incredible — right by the beach with beautiful ocean views and such a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are modern, clean and beautifully maintained, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. You know I love me a good bed! 😍 Another thing I loved is the variety of restaurants and dining options within the hotel, so you really don’t have to go far for a great experience. And let me talk about the margarita… 🍸 I genuinely had the best margarita I’ve ever tasted in my life! Absolutely unforgettable. Beautiful location, comfortable rooms, great food and drinks, and an overall wonderful experience. Definitely a 10/10 and a place I’d happily stay at again! 🌊✨

Perfect beach location, historic flair, and great seafood This hotel is a masterclass in seaside hospitality. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite facing directly toward the beach and the iconic lighthouse. The layout—featuring a spacious separate living room, bedroom, a massive bathroom, and a separate toilet—made us feel at home instantly. The welcome from the entire staff was incredibly warm and genuine. The location is ideal, offering a historic flair while being perfectly situated right on the promenade. Culinary-wise, the hotel hits it out of the park. We had dinner at both the in-house Brewery and the seafood restaurant. Both meals were very good, and the fresh coastal oysters were absolutely flawless on both evenings. Our Travel Tip: For anyone who loves to keep active while traveling, take advantage of the promenade. Since almost every other stop on a typical safari route puts you inside national parks or reserves where walking around is strictly prohibited due to wild animals, this is the perfect spot to finally step out of the vehicle for an extensive morning jog.

My stay at this hotel was truly memorable, thanks to an outstanding team. Despite a few unexpected issues with my room over two consecutive nights, every concern was handled quickly, professionally, and with genuine care. As a result, instead of a complaint, I am leaving this review with nothing but gratitude. The hotel is excellent, the breakfast is outstanding, and the location is perfect. What impressed me most, however, was the exceptional level of service. If I return to this city, there will be no question about where to stay. This hotel will be my first and only choice.

I stayed here around 2 years ago during my visit to Namibia, this hotel is situated right next to the beach with a stunning view to the ocean. The building is new and clean with the inside being even nicer. Everything feels very lux and tranquil. Theres a very aesthetically pleasing beach theme that is also seen in the rooms which are spacious and very clean. I have no complaints other than that there was no pool or lounge area which even though there was a beach might not be everyones thing.
