The Westin Hefei

Room is a bit old and smells smoky. If the room is facing street, it is very noisy. I asked to change room the second night. Service and food are ok. Overall I wish hefei had a better Marriott hotel…

I stayed at the Hefei Westin Hotel for four days in September, and the overall experience was excellent. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including several kinds of noodles, fried dumplings, buns, and traditional Chinese steamed breakfast items such as Chinese yam, corn, and steamed dumplings. There was also a great selection of fruits, including dragon fruit, mango, strawberries, and honeydew melon, along with some vegetable options and a wide range of desserts. The high-floor room provided a beautiful view, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. Disposable slippers were also provided. The front desk staff were highly professional, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

A bit smelly when you enter the room, but it is quite common in China though.

Excellent place to stay in Hefei. The staff are wonderful, and most speak decent English. As a minimum everyone knows some English so you can always communicate what you're after. The buffet is excellent and is served breakfast lunch and dinner with a wide variety of items at each meal. Hotel is located well with Lord Bao park steps away and decent shopping across the street, or the luxury mall about a 20 min walk. Metro line also stops right across the street if you plan on taking the train.
