Had a lovely Italian lunch at the Italian restaurant in The Langham Hefei. Our party of eight were ushered into a spacious private room, which provided a nice, quiet ambience for dining. The dishes were fairly authentic and well-prepared, with prices that felt reasonable for a hotel setting. Service was impeccable throughout, attentive without being intrusive.

Room was spacious and comfortable, although sound insulation of walls, doors, and windows was not enough to prevent noise from neighbours or hallway and street even on 40th floor. Amenities are good and practical. Swimming pool and gym are great. Location is also very good. Service is variable. Staff is very friendly and responsible, but needs to pay a little more attention to simple level English skills. However, breakfast and generally, foods in restaurant were not satisfactory enough. Western and international food is just a name. You can't really taste German Wurst or Italian pizza! The continental food, especially western breakfast, is quite ordinary, I'm talking about flavours and tastes, not quantity. It's not very eye-catching for a five-star hotel as you would expect. Although, overall I recommend hotel.

Room was 30 degrees celsius. During winter time no airconditioning available. Need to open windows for fresh air. Barely helps. Just lets in the smog.

New, classy hotel in hefei with good location next to a mall and restaurants. We had an excellent, comfortable stay in a spacious room and modern bathroom. Cable tv and wifi connection available in all rooms. New gym and pool facilities. Restaurant served local and western breakfast dishes with good dimsum, noodle soup, eggs and juices. Staff from front desk, bellhop, housekeeping, cafe were very helpful, informative and efficient. However, it seems that only frontdesk and few other staff were bilingual whereas for the others, a bit tough to get our message across. Overall, a very pleasant, comfortable stay in a clean, classy environment at an average daily rate.
