Today, late in the evening, I called the hotel reception and was assisted by an incredibly kind and warm lady. Even though the kitchen was already closed, she still offered to help me arrange food delivery to the hotel. I also wanted to order tea to my room, and despite the café being closed as well, she managed to arrange a delicious local tea for me.
What truly surprised me was that I also received a whole package of local tea as a complimentary gift. This kind of thoughtful and genuinely helpful service is very rare to find in hotels. It is exactly because of people like this that guests remember a place and want to come back.
A wonderful experience and truly outstanding hospitality. I would happily give the highest rating.
This is located by the river. Hotel has nice garden space and across the street from the river for a walk on the foot/bike bridge.
We got upgraded to the Business Suite which is very large indeed but did not have a view of the river. Rooms are dated and looking tired though as well as plagued with unacceptable smokers that leaves smells in the rooms and hallways.
Room doors are loud as well as talkers in the hallways. Many tour groups so the breakfast can be busy in the early mornings. The breakfast selection is very good and a large area to sit with couches!
Executive lounge is nice with some simple selections for happy hour that begins promptly at 6pm. It also has nice couches and a wonderful view of the riverside from the patio area.
The hotel room had the most wonderful view of the Yangtze River. It was a fine room but the shower section of the bathroom did look like it could do with an upgrade. Also the light in the bathroom shone through to main room which was not ideal. But the staff were wonderful and as always nice to stay at a Hilton : familiar hotel wherever you stay in the world
This hotel provides the worst service compared with other hilton hotel I have ever stayed. Diamond member is useless here, their management never has the cuatomer first mindset, use policy to push back from providing any diamond benefits to my family members. They gave an careless attitude even I mentioned I may escalate it. This behavior brought bad reputation to hitlton, they do not valuable their membership tier at all. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. As Hyatt and ihg member also, you do have many other better options than this one.
In general I was quite pleased with my stay. The room however was a bit dated and had definitely seen better days.
Front desk service was okay and I really enjoyed the Chinese restaurant on the 13th floor. Great service by the young lady and it had a few local dishes.
Breakfast catered to both western and eastern styles and was fresh.
The only negative aspect was the noise levels. People slamming doors and being generally loud.
Otherwise the hotel is located in a nice and calm area, with a fantastic view of the river and the skyline of the other side of town.
