We loved our cooking class at La Boca del Sapo. Moisés is so knowledgeable and passionate about Bolivian ingredients, cuisine and cooking techniques. All the ingredients were fresh and the dishes were delicious. Moises made the class really relaxed and enjoyable so the three hours flew by. He was super patient with our beginner Spanish and answered all our questions. I couldn’t recommend this class highly enough!

Excellent experience. Well paced. Lots of opportunity to chat and explore all things Bolivian with the host, in English and Spanish. Active participation was encouraged. Perfect presentation from a trained chef. Delicious food, eaten with newfound understanding, and a special juicy cocktail, ‘Carnevalita’. Highly recommend!
Everything was very good organized. He explained a bit about the different kinds of foods and what we would be making. The kitchen was very clean and the cooking was very fun! We learned a lot about the Bolivian cuisine and ate some delicious food. Also the making of the cocktails was very fun! Overall a super good experience and I would definitely recommend!
Amazing experience with Moíses and La Boca del Sapo. Beautiful fresh ingredients that were so colourful to make a 3 course meal that looked and tasted delicious. Really recommend - the best cooking experience we have ever done.
Like many before us we had an amazing cooking experience. It's much more than a cooking class. Moisés has a big heart for Bolivian culture and tries his best to preserve it. Everything you learn here is authentic. We created amazing dishes with very basic seasonal ingredients. We asked Moisés if we could help him with the potatoe harvest at his home on the countryside. We learned a lot about his life and gained a lot of respect for him. He came from nothing and worked really hard to get where he is now. Please come to the cooking class with the right mindset, not only for that picture on instagram, but to really dive into the culture of Bolivia.
Great experience. I was the only person in the class and it became a private lesson. The chef was very nice to keep my reservation. Enjoyed the two course meal and cocktail.
We had a wonderful time with Moisés, learning so much about traditional Bolivian food and culture. He was a patient and kind teacher and the food we made was delicious! Would recommend to everyone to take a cooking class here whilst in Sucre!
The experience was absolutely fantastic if you want to learn more about the food and ingredients from Bolivia, also a good chef who involves you in the whole thing
We had a great time cooking with Moisés this evening. He is very thorough, and wonderfully prepared. You can tell that he has thought out what he is going to teach and how the class will flow. We learnt a lot about Bolivian culture and cuisine, and how produce is determined by the different regions of Bolivia. Moisés creates a warm and inviting space for everyone to cook and participate. You even get a visit from Charlie, the most adorable and well behaved Cocker-spaniel. I would definitely recommend this as an activity to do while visiting Sucre.
What a great experience if you like cooking. The kitchen is impeccable and Moisés is passionate about the culture and history of the local food. It was a really fun experience making a salad, main course and cocktail and, of course at the end of the cooking we enjoyed a wonderful meal.
Taking a part in a cooking class with La Boca del Sapo is the best way to spend an amazing time and immers yourself in bolivian culture! Moises is a great cook and a teacher - full of patience, he explains everything about ingredients and bolivian food. During the class time flies and the food you prepare is super delicious 🤤 i strongly recommend this activity for everyone who is in Sucre! :)
Very nice experience! Moi (and Charlie) did a great job explaining and teaching us the bolivian food culture!
We had a fantastic Bolivian cooking class today — varied, authentic, and explained with so much heart. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed this experience. Moises was a great chef and guided the class well. The food was tasty and we learnt a lot about native ingredients and traditional ways of cooking in Bolivia. We had a lovely group and swapped travel stories which was nice. It was our first time taking a cooking class and we really enjoyed the experience.
This was definitely a fun way to spend and afternoon! Moises is obviously serious about the craft of cooking. He explained the recipe that we made (sopa de mani) really well. This is a hands on class_- we were right in there cutting, stirring, pouring…it was great fun! We had a taste of a local spicy liquor and later made a cocktail with singani and fruits. After the cooking was done, we had a wonderful meal accompanied by Charlie, the cutest cocker spaniel ever! My only wish is that we got a copy of the recipe at the end!

We didn't know what to expect but we were really pleased with the experience. Moi was very passionate and skilled in his cooking. The food was fun to prepare and lovely to eat. We found it cheaper to book directly rather than through an agency.
This is not just a cookery class - you learn about Bolivian culture too - very interesting. Great fun cooking and food (and cocktail) delicious. It is a full three hours including eating. Kitchen and equipment spotless. Some necessary preparation is done before your arrival . Would highly recommend.
Moises ran a perfect cooking class that incorporated an introduction to the culture, history and culinary flavors of Bolivia. We made a delectable peanut soup, which is a local favorite and MUCH better than it might sound to a non-Bolivian. There was also a fresh hot sauce we made and then…the cocktails! Take this class and enjoy a lovely evening with a man passionate about a he food of his culture.
Great cooking class! Moi had everything perfectly prepared and the class was very well organized. We learned a lot about Bolivian food and also about the economy, which was very interesting! The food we cooked was delicious and we really felt the passion Moi has for his job! I would definitely recommend taking a cooking class with la boca del sapo.
Loved the cooking class! Fun, hands-on, and delicious! The instructor explained everything clearly and more! And the food turned out amazing. Can’t wait to try this at home. The chef (&his dog) have big plans to open a restaurant. I also loved to hear this plans. Great cultural experience – highly recommend!
We did an amazing cookery class learning about all the local ingredients which can be found in Bolivia and seeing some of the herbs etc. growing in the garden. We all got really involved in the class (we had 4 in our group) doing lots of different tasks to make a 3 course meal which was so delicious. We also shook our own cocktails made from tunga fruit which were so refreshing. We made pollo con salsa picante, homemade chilli sauce with freshly grown potatoes and radish leaves and tomatoes and we made so many accompaniments for our main as well as a dessert! Moisés is so talented and we learned so much about Bolivia and his sous-chef Charlie the cocker-spaniel is gorgeous!
Great cooking class. We learnt a lot about the different ingredients and techniques used in Bolivia. I highly recommend!
Very rich experience. We followed the lead of a former Bolivian chef to really participate in the cooking ourself. We learnt a lot of knowledge of the local ingredient, and method of cooking, the at the end, the food was very good like a fine dining level. The most importantly, the owner really try to promote local food culture, and he devoted his passion into exploring and preserving this food culture. Hope more people can come to experience this.
Very professional chef, clean kitchen, lovely food. Speaks English well. Sometimes, you had to ask for some explanation about the food or preparation, but didn't bother us. We would recommend it!
good lesson on food prep, chopping, slicing, mixing wine and liquor included very patient host, accommodating my wife's disability
We had a great time! We learned a lot about the Bolivian kitchen and culture. We would highly recommend La Boca del Sapo! Delicious food and good company.
We had a fantastic experience. The host was very professional and conducted the class in English as we don’t speak Spanish. He went out of his way to teach us about local culture, customs and traditions. All of the meals that we prepared under his guidance were delicious. We would definitely recommend the course.
The chef is Mois and is a very pleasant and funny man. His English is good so you should not have any issues following the instructions. His focus is the traditional Bolivian cuisine with local ingredients. The menu is put together with what is available on the day at the Sucre fresh market. A very nice experience and fantastic food.
My friends and I had so much fun learning about Bolivian cooking while being hands on with the preparing the food and making different drinks! Moises is so passionate about sharing his Bolivian culture with us and we learned a lot!
Wonderful cooking class. I cooked a peanut based chicken soup, and had a cocktail. Chef Moi changes up his recipes all the time, and is flexible to his guests dietary restrictions. I’d come back any time, to pet his dog Charlie and to eat his food again ☺️
Chef Moises loves traditional Bolivian dishes and is passionate about cooking. He explained everything about local ingredients and hosts small groups in his kitchen to teach the ins and outs of local ingredients. Our course was run in English and we learned a ton. Highly recommend it!!
I absolutely loved this cooking class with Moises! Moises taught us about traditional Bolivian food and culture. We cooked an amazing 3 course meal and a cocktail and Moises accommodated for vegetarians. Everything was delicious and the whole experience was very wholesome. Thank you Moises!
This class entailed creating a cazuela de maní, salsa, and cocktail/mocktail with Moíses. We cannot say enough about this class. Moíses is very knowledgeable about the origin of the ingredients and the culture of the items that we made. He insisted that we participate in all aspects of making each item and explained in detail what the ingredients brought to the soup, salsa, and drink. He was excellent about cleanliness, which was wonderful. Handwashing was constant. The soup, salsa, and drinks were delicious! Our only wish is that we could have recorded the whole thing to remember every detail of what we learned. We highly recommend this class to not only learn about Bolivian cooking but also as a great introduction to its culture.
Had a lovely evening cooking with Moises in his home. It was the perfect way to learn more about Bolivian food and their way of life in relation to food. Moises easily accommodated for the vegetarian in our group and kept us on track the whole way through, sharing tips he had learned from his teaches to help ensure the sopa di maní retained as much possible flavour. I loved the cocktail making portion with Bolivian alcohol as well and the drink was delicious! He also keeps an incredibly spotless kitchen! I have never seen one so clean!
Moisés is an excellent instructor who not only teaches you all the prep tasks for the meal but also gives the history of the meal and how it is to be prepared. He is patient and helpful as you learn all the prep tasks. His dog, Charlie, provides moral support throughout the entire lesson. I highly recommend this class and we thoroughly enjoyed fixing and eating a delicious traditional Bolivian meal.
We loved our evening cooking class with Moises. It was great to learn about traditional Peruvian dishes and ingredients - we cooked the picante de pollo for our main dish and it tasted amazing. Great value for a delicious 3 course meal and cocktail using totally fresh ingredients. Moises keeps an extremely clean and tidy kitchen too! We would definitely recommend this class when in Sucre.
Had a great time learning about traditional Bolivian cuisine while putting my chopping skills to the test. Moi is really patient and knowledgeable, you can tell he loves what he does. Thank you Moi & Charlie!
First of all, everyone who vists Sucre must enjoy this experience. It is amazing how Moisés presents each ingrident (all regional and fresh) and teach us the recipe in details. After preparation, we had the opportunity to try the best "sopa de maní" ever.
Super experience with a great cook. We booked it already two times and we were very happy each time. We came back...It is really worth to cook with this Bolivian expert :-)
Great experience. Clearly someone who is very passionate about local food. Could you please send recipes as requested :)
One of the best travel experiences I have had in my life. I had the picante de pollo class and everything was super tasty. Besides learning how to cook some traditional Bolivian dishes, I also learned about the ingredients, the culture and the music of Bolivia. I highly recommend this experience!
Woooow what an incredible experience. Moises is an extremely intelligent chef who is clearly passionate about his culture and its cuisine. Moises was clear in his instruction, clean in the kitchen, and informative about the local ingredients and eating lifestyle. We prepared a three course meal plus a local cocktail! We started with a Bolivian style “brunch” (appetizer in America) next we had an entre, and lastly a fresh fruit parfait since there is no dessert culture in Bolivia. Everything was super fresh (I joined him at the market to purchase the ingredients that very morning! Only because I am currently living at his bed and breakfast as well) and delicious. 100% would recommend his bed and breakfast in addition to the cooking class! Support the local economy and learn while you’re at it!
Fun evening with my friend (it was just us two!) learning about traditional Bolivian ingredients and creating a delicious appy, main course dessert and cocktail. We felt very involved in the process despite our cooking skills and learned a lot!
The cooking class with Moises was a great way to explore Bolivian culture and cuisine. Moises is very knowledgeable and we enjoyed talking to him and learning about the food and ingredients used in the class. This was a wonderful way to spend an evening in Sucre.
Had an amazing time at the cooking class. Fresh local ingredients and very clean. Moises gave us lot of good info and made us feel very welcome in his home. Highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting sucre.
Entertaining and wonderfull activity in Sucre! Really nice guy; excellent food. Good quality. Recommanded!
Thank you so much Moises for an amazing cooking class! It was a great way to dive into Bolivian culture and I learned so much! Moises had so many interesting facts about different bolivian dishes, ingredients and customs. The food we made was delicious (starter with quinoa and oka, papas rellenas, tumbo cocktail and fruit desert) and I had a really fun time preparing everything! The class is accessible for everyone and I would highly recommend everyone to try it out.
The cooking class was absolutely fantastic! It was really special having a private lesson with a couple of friends and we were made to feel so welcome by Moisés. The food was delicious as well and we definitely got a taste of Bolivian culture. Would highly recommend
It was a very nice evening. Detailed and well explained clase, all had assigned jobs which made it fun and a lot faster than learning to cook to entire meal by ourselves
