My stay at the Hotel Villa Antigua in Sucre over Christmas in December 2024 was simply outstanding. From the very first to the last moment of my visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the qualities of this charming hotel, which proved to be a true gem at the heart of Bolivia's capital, Sucre. Particularly noteworthy is the hotel staff, whose friendliness and attentiveness characterized my entire stay. Every interaction was marked by genuine helpfulness, precisely what one could wish for as a guest. It's this dedication that gives Hotel Villa Antigua such an inviting atmosphere and makes the visit particularly pleasant. Equally impressive was the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms. They were consistently in pristine condition, which significantly contributed to a feeling of comfort and well-being. After long days of exploring the city, it was a delight to return to such a well-maintained and clean room. The hotel's central location is an invaluable advantage. It's practically situated in the city center, making access to Sucre's main attractions incredibly convenient. Whether it's the historic Plaza 25 de Mayo, the Cathedral, or other cultural highlights. Almost everything is easily reachable on foot. This not only saves time but also allows for a deeper immersion into the city's charming atmosphere without relying on public transport. What further sets Hotel Villa Antigua apart are the excellent communal areas outside the rooms. The hotel offers a variety of inviting seating areas in different spots. These are not only ideal for relaxing and lingering but also provide, as you emphasized, breathtaking views over the rooftops of the White City. Such moments, whether enjoying morning coffee with a view over Sucre or watching the sunset, greatly enrich the stay and make the hotel an unforgettable experience.

We loved staying at this hotel. The staff was kind, responsive and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was amazing. It's 2 blocks away from the main plaza and there's not a lot of noise around. Also, there's a neat coffee shop next door, that serves amazing coffee!
A nice hotel with a gorgeous patio. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the hotel is ideally placed for when you want to explore Sucre. Breakfast could be better though: no buffet, there aren't many options to choose from and it is not that tasty. For the price we paid, we expected a bit more.
Such a beautiful hotel and the most lovely staff! The owner and the employees are all very helpful and even gave me tips on what I should see in Sucre. The building itself is an attraction in itself and the hotel has a very spacious rooftop terrace with amazing views of the surrounding mountain range and of course the whole city center of Sucre as well. Can highly recommend watching the sunsets from anywhere around there really, it's so beautiful! All in all an awesome experience in one of the best hotels I've come across.
It is hard to describe how welcoming and lovely this place is. It has the most beautiful courtyard I’ve seen in Bolivia, maybe in all of Latin America. I strongly recommend staying here!! And the couple who run the place are so hospitable, they really make your stay feel so special!
