Hot running water is not a staple of this hotel. The rooms are ok but there’s no heating and they tend to get cold. The building in general is quite pretty, it has a colonial inner patio that has a nice vibe. The meals at the hotel’s restaurant are very good!

You get to experience an old colonial mansion right on Plaza 25 de mayo. Very easy check-in. I got a shared room, which is basically a normal room with all the amenities, except that someone needs to cross through your room to access the one located upstairs (via a small stair). Very funky, actually. It didn't bother me for the price: there was nobody else, and I had the whole floor section to myself. I liked that it had fresh and hot water available to drink. The breakfast is a large buffet, and options include fresh loaf of bread, cheese, and plenty of fresh fruits.
This is a beautiful colonial hotel in just the right location. However, it is a bit dated and the facilities in each room are a TV and a fridge only. The staff are amazing, welcoming and helpful. There is no air-conditioning but surprisingly it wasn’t a problem even though it was hot. It’s clean and quiet. There is a pool It’s small, but clean. I didn’t use the pool unfortunately as it was full of splashing children all day. May I suggest some adult only hours so there can be peaceful swimming. Parking is off site 5-10 minutes walk. I can’t emphasise enough how helpful the staff were. We use google translate successfully as only 1 spoke English.
What an amazing time i had in the hotel, located right in the middle of the city, you could walk everywhere from there. The last time i visited the city was 25 years ago and being able to stay in this hotel was just a big plus to my trip. The service was unique and friendly. The room was very comfortable and perfect set up, breakfast is so delicious and could stay there for a while. Hoping to be able to come back soon.
The hotel was beautiful, probably one of the most interesting I've stayed in, the layout was a lot of fun to explore, and it was filled with lovely spaces, plants and features. But.... I stayed there with tour group for 3 nights, and while we were out one day, 4 of our rooms were robbed (by the cleaning staff) my phone was stolen from my room, 300 US dollars was stolen from another, a go pro from an other, and 150 US dollars and a pair of ray band sun glasses from another. After talking to the hotel staff, they accused us of been irresponsible and told us it was our fault for not giving our belongings to reception to put in their office safe. We watched the security tap and the cleaners were the only people who went in the rooms while we were out, but management did nothing to help us. It's such a shame we had such a bad experience at such a nice hotel.
