Chose the hotel due to extremely good location, very close to center and most important spots that we wanted to touch but overall experience was pretty poor. Our room does not look at all as it was presented on the website, it was old furnished, with a weird smell. In the bathroom we had a dirty cloth in the sink and towels almost grey. We needed to insist 2 times for our trash to be picked up from the room. Breakfast for which we paid additional was very poor and overpriced. Better to go nearby to a local bakery for amazing freshly baked croissants and coffee.

We came on holiday with my family and chose this hotel because of its proximity to the center. The hotel's location is absolutely superb; supermarkets like AB and Edeka, and a shopping mall are within 20 steps, and REWE is a little further away. The center is very close; shopping areas are only 5 minutes away, and even the furthest places are 15-20 minutes at most. As for the rooms, the room was really great. We stayed in a junior suite and were very happy. The bed is super large, almost big enough for four people. There are two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and the other with a shower. The room is very spacious and there's a work desk too. The only problem is that the doors open manually with a key; there's no card system, so be sure to lock your door after you leave the room and also while you're inside. If you're in Stuttgart and looking for a hotel to stay in, I'd say this is number one; it's very nice.
We booked it only ONLY because of the heat , we wanted Air conditioning and called and asked before which room should we take, so we did, and the “” AC “” stil makes the room feel like 35 degrees, there’s a control in the wall and it’s useless nothing changes it doesn’t even blow air , it is completely HOT! Room is ok, Shower smells bad, if you book it to sleep in winter ok but if you book it for the AC forget it it’s completely useless .
I have stayed at the hotel a few times and depending on the room you book, it can vary. I found it is good value for the money you pay, the rooms are clean with a powerful shower. It is centrally located. The service is excellent. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Leen in particular was really helpful when I booked the wrong room and moved me to a better room. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to the hotel team for their outstanding service.
A good choice - glad I changed to the Hotel Royal. Attractive entrance area, handsome dining room - a good presentation. Room was as described, clean and comfortable. Bed firm with extra pillow & blanket on the shelf. A bottle of water, a small fridge & a safe. Parking on premises is great. Breakfast was excellant with varied choices (included in booking rate.) Staff always friendly & helpful. Location turned out to be a challenge d/t construction - it took roughly an hour & 3 phone calls to the Royal to navigate into the site while within less than 1km. (involved driving on pedestrian walkways.) Desk staff were most helpful. Knowing this perhaps an alert & a map could be provided to patrons before arrival? Stressful due to a long day of driving, streets full of people and for this English-speaking traveler, negotiating the German street names was challenging.
