Hilton Garden Inn Stuttgart Neckarpark

We stayed here for three nights over a two-week period, split across two separate bookings. The first night was fine. We were given a larger room with a sauna, even though we hadn't booked one. However, the sauna didn't work because we hadn't paid for it. That makes sense to me, but it wasn't mentioned anywhere, not even during check-in. A week later, we stayed for two nights on our journey back home. This time, we were given a room on the first floor. The hallway and the room smelled terrible. There was blood on the curtains and leftover toothpaste in the paper cups. We filed a complaint at reception, where the manager happened to be present as well. We were given a different room, but nothing to compensate for the issues. The new room also had stains on the carpet, but at least there was no blood. It also lacked a mini-fridge to keep drinks cold in the summer, apparently, a fridge is no longer included as standard as told by the receptionist. On top of that, there was a musty odor as if the room had been vacant for six months. We reported this to reception and were told someone would come by, but unfortunately, nobody ever showed up! Rooms are not cleaned daily. You have to specifically request this at reception. So, if you want clean towels, you need to let them know. In the morning, we quickly ate breakfast and checked out because we no longer felt comfortable staying there. P.S. Upon check-in, they hold a deposit of around €18 per night. Nothing is mentioned about this beforehand or during check-in. You are much better off booking an Ibis Styles hotel—everything is better there.

The rooms are nice, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. The bar and restaurant are extremely hit or miss depending on the day. On one occasion, I waited about 20 minutes just for a staff member to show up so I could pay for my drinks. It seems like the hotel is either severely understaffed or employees simply disappear for long periods of time. During the days I stayed here, the restaurant menu was also cut in half, with the only options being frozen pizza and a very limited selection of other food. Overall, this stay was honestly disappointing. I stayed here a couple of years ago and had a much better experience. The hotel itself and the rooms are still nice, but the level of service has gone downhill significantly since my last visit.

Well located hotel situated next to the Stuttgart FC stadium. Gym has some good equipment, though could benefit from additional free weights / kettlebells. Spa area had a relaxation space limited to two beds, however it was very quiet so this was not an issue. There were two saunas available and I really appreciated having the two options. Breakfast buffet was quite tasty and the staff were nice and helpful.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I feel so sorry for your staff that are told to lie to customers. The rooms are VERY ordinary. We tried two rooms and both were lacking. Neither had a refrigerator. The air conditioning was appalling and it was 35 degree days. There was only one pillow in the room! The bed had stains on it and this was allegedly a ‘new’ room. I have since learned that this hotel has NOTHING to do with the well known and well regarded Hilton Hotel group. The only thing redeeming about this hotel is the lovely gentlemen Ahed whom was very apologetic and sympathetic to our complaints. Truly cannot believe this hotel even exists. If we hadn’t already prepaid we’re would have cancelled and gone elsewhere.
