Itinerary
We start at the start - the start of the Bubonic Plague outbreak that is!
Still on the corner of Sheep Street and High Street, learn about the ghost from the Civil War days.
We will stand here and marvel at a building that hasn't been there or hundreds of years and hear the story of how a murder was committed to get ownership of the building.
You might think you had a hard time at school, but it's nothing compared to what you have had to endure in the 16th Century, and oh my word, what a view you'd have had out of the window....
Shakespeare's eldest daughter married the only doctor in town, but would treatment from John Hall kill or cure you?
Enter the churchyard? Or should we just stand outside to hear some of the most gruesome tales of the residents?
As we pass by the River Avon, please remember the Health and Safety briefing and don't fall in! But if you do, you won't be the first to have met a watery grave in Stratford....
We walk along the banks of the Avon and you'll hear stories of the river and learn about the special local significance of September the 21st!
Passby Tudor World. They claim to be the most haunted building in England, but there are terrors all around.....
Peer down the ancient court and hear one final tragic tale of witchcraft and murder.
And we're back at the start point, well done if you made it all the way around!

I went on The Ghost walk with my nieces we really enjoyed it the guide had a great sense of humour and we laughed throughout would recommend doing the evening one adds to the eeriness. Would have liked more time in the Graveyard. Definitely reccomend.
The guide was excellent he was very informative
We had a really lovely time. The Tourguide was excellent and had us laughing with his charisma and drama. Learned quite a bit about the town and heard some spooky tales. Definitely recommend arriving a bit early to see the town during the day.
What a great way to spend an hour and a half in Stratford-upon-Avon! The ghost walk was thoroughly entertaining, with plenty of fascinating stories and lots of humour along the way. What really made the experience was our guide, Joe (I think!), whose energy and enthusiasm never faltered throughout the entire walk. He was funny, engaging and clearly loved what he was doing. Great fun from start to finish and a brilliant way to spend an evening. Highly recommended!
Brilliant guide, straight into character from the get go. Some very gruesome stories about Stratford! We potentially saw Shakespeare’s skull in someone’s front window!! 💀😳 arrived for 3pm walk and had some atmospheric weather at sunset. Would recommend
Great fun, wrap up warm. Went with 12 and 10 year old daughters and they were stunned into silence but loved it.
Splendid. Guide was very entertaining, hilarious and personable, and even though it was lightly drizzling, there was absolutely no impediment to the experience at all! He was incredibly knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions. Absolutely recommend.
Enjoyable, entertaining evening in Stratford-upon-Avon. Thank you.
This Ghost Walk was amazing! I went with 5 friends and we all had so much fun. We thought it was great value for money too. Would highly recommend, perfect amount of humour, ghost stories and history. It had us all laughing along.
Really good fun, the guide was in character the whole time, very well presented and a different experience with lots of interesting facts. Highly recommend!!
Great guide very knowledgeable & good fun ! Good to go when it’s a bit darker , adds to the ambiance especially at the graveyard
Good fun, interesting stories which interwove with Stratford’s history.
Joe was our guide and he was a real character. He gave detailed and sometimes gruesome/hilarious accounts of tales from the past. The walk was not strenuous but took us to parts of Stratford we hadn't been to before. Expect to be entertained.
The walk isn't too long and there are chances to it down. The guy doing the talk is very funny and tells it n a very interesting way. I didn't know what to expect and it exceeded expectations.
Fun experience with lots of info but never boring
A fun few hours, with many ghosts stories
A helpful and engaging experience for all the family. We all had fun and learned a few things.
We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. The content interesting and fun.
Very entertaining. The sinister chap is an excellent performer. Kept us enthralled throughout the tour.
Biblical downpour, and then the vicar turned up, yet you hardly missed a beat. An excellent experience. Thank you.
Brilliant experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable and made the whole night fun too. We learnt things I’d no idea about and despite living near here, saw and heard things about Shakespeare and Stratford I didn’t know.
Our tour guide was absolutely fabulous! He was so friendly, entertaining and full of personality, which made the whole tour really enjoyable from beginning to end. He was a little bit loud at times, but he was such a cool and interesting character, and I absolutely loved his outfit; it looked so unique and really added to the whole ghost-tour experience! The crowd size was fairly small, which I really appreciated as it made the tour feel much more personal and meant that it never felt overwhelmingly busy. If you enjoy ghost stories and slightly spooky experiences, I would definitely recommend this tour, as the atmosphere throughout was brilliant and at times the whole experience felt incredibly surreal! We also randomly came across a man with some ferrets during the tour, which was honestly so cool and definitely not something I was expecting to see on a ghost tour 😂! It was such a random but memorable little addition to the evening. At £12 per person, I also thought it was excellent value for money, especially considering the tour lasted just over two hours. There was quite a lot of walking involved, so I did find it a little tiring towards the end, but overall it was still completely worth it. It was such a wonderful and memorable experience with a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you so much for an awesome evening; I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and entertaining ghost tour 👻!
Tour and stories interesting..nice to see the historic buildings. The guide wasn't particularly personable or interested in the group outside his story telling, and at times was a bit condescending. It was ok but I wouldnt recommend the tour as a absolute must do...maybe my hopes were too high?
It was a fun 90 minute experience with a very entertaining guide. We had fun and learned some things along the way. Great value for money.
Fantastic guide who was very animated, the tales were brilliant and was very informative
Tour guide didn't pass the audition for the RSC but excells with enthusiasm at describing the historical events. Very entertaining and loud. Worth taking part.
Great tour - interesting stories. Very engaging. Great family activity with our 11 and 15 year olds
Great walk, entertaining and a good way to see some of Stratford’s historic buildings. Would recommend
This tour is a great way to see a different side to Stratford on Avon. The guide was very entertaining. I would definitely recommend it.
A very entertaining evening stroll around Stratford with a fun, charaterful host weaving sinister tails of intrigue. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. My teenage son said it was his favourite part of our holiday - some praise from your average technology-obsessed teen. If you are on-the-fence wondering whether to give it a go, then take my word that it is well worth it, you won't be disappointed. The experience is just the right length, stories are well told, the walk isn't strenuous so good for the young and old alike. A fun way to get some history and discover Stratford.
Informative and humorous the guide throws himself into the role a great way to spend an hour or so walking round the town.
Larger than life guide. We had problem finding the location, spending an hour looking for platinum jubilee tree on Sheep Lane. We asked in a number of shops where this might be- nothing. We examined statues and fountains- nothing. We then did spot a small tree with a very small plaque saying jubilee tree🤷🏻♂️ the guide said other booking agents give a detailed description. We didn’t have that. Maybe just say corner of sheep and High St, opposite Garrick pub. This would have saved us an hours grief
An interesting walk around Stratford with our spirited guide was worth it. Took us a while to find the meeting place - but once found was obvious - the postcode is unhelpful - it’s at the top of Sheep’s Street / other end to the river opposite the ice cream shop. The guide set a good pace and had his moments dramatic trension that kept us engaged. Much enjoyed - thank you.
Tour guide was educational and entertaining. Great value for the cost. Able to see many sites across town.
The guide made this a fun, interactive experience, causing various passers by jump with his “in character” outbursts! He gave a real feel of Tudor England and the life of Shakespeare. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent! The outing was informative and entertaining. Definitely an activity worth adding to your itinerary.
Fabulous way of exploring Stratford whilst learning about its sinister past. Guide was brilliant (although he did make me jump on one occasion! 🤣) Would definitely recommend to other visitors.
Great guide, very informative and entertaining. Great seat to see more of the city and learn some interesting facts along the way! Would highly recommend!
It was just ok, guide was knowledgeable enough but a bit shouty, and too sweary in my view given the children on the tour. Maybe better when dark, but overall wouldn’t rush to do this.
Very interesting tour and our guide was brilliant. Really knowledgable and a funny guy!
Guide was very knowlegable, learned some things from his stories and the pace was right for the group,
Absolutely great fun , informative and easy identified meeting venue and booking . Good health and safety guidance and respectful to group and members of the public . The attention to getting shade on such a hot and sunny day was much appreciated too. Highly recommend this tour .
Enjoyed our tour, learned some great facts and heard stories, nice slow pace on an extremely hot evening.
Fun activity with knowledgeable host sharing gruesome stories and local history from Stratford. Both my wife and I really enjoyed it. Thx
The tour guide was very informative and had interesting stories to tell. Funny. Well worth the money.
Very professional. Good story teller. Good health and safety briefing - showed concern for all.
Great theatrical story telling. Entertaining evening and a pleasant way to explore Stratford Upon Avon
We booked this tour on a rainy Monday evening and we were the only ones there. I think the guides name was Joe, and he was very knowledgeable and very theatrical and made us laugh as well as imparting his knowledge. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone!
Fantastic guided walk with Joe. He was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining & it could not have been better!
