We stayed 4 nights in Stratford-upon-Avon. It was excellent. I would visit again.

Proper flow between locations minimizing the walking. Audio was easy to understand, despite going off track with a wrong turn. I had a bit of trouble getting past the notification settings but eventually corrected itself.
It’s good for a solo traveller to a town. Good pace and narrates interesting history without being too much to take in.
This was a great way to explore Stratford-upon-Avon at our own pace and learn about Shakespeare and the landmarks associated with his life. It was useful to be able to re-wind and/or revisit places. The instructions were clear and we’d definitely use this app again for other locations. Thank you.
My grown-up son and daughter and I arranged to meet in Stratford-Upon-Avon as somewhere near the centre of where we all live. We wanted to take a guided tour, but none were available at the times we could manage on our chosen date, so we booked an audio tour, which we could play through our smartphones. We were all pleasantly surprised how well the technology worked (the tour app tracked our location, and started and stopped the commentary at appropriate places), and how helpful it was in enriching the experience of walking through Stratford, without overwhelming us with minute details. The tour lasted about an hour and a quarter. The price was very fair.
Great guide, made better by it using GPS to know when we were at the correct place to automatically start playing the next bit of content.
It was ok. Took a little while to get used to it but when we did it was quite informative. Need to concentrate
I found it very interesting. I wasn't too skilled on using the Voicemap app and so got confused when the app clicked off at times. However. It was informative and gave interesting background to Shakespeare's life and his contemporaries
Was great way to hear the history of the buildings and Shakespeare. Very intuitive app, easy to use and nice feature where by knowing your location it tells you certain audio.
This really is an excellent way to get round Stratford and see everything you need to see. The guide was actually better than expected as you just switch it on at the start and then forget about it! The commentary starts again each time you reach a new point of interest. So you don’t need to keep getting it out of your pocket to look at, or start, the next bit. That is a real big plus! The directions are spot on and the commentary is very interesting, with plenty of detail on Shakespeare and relevant buildings. We were in no rush and took in lots along the way and so it took about 3 hours to complete, on which basis I would highly recommend this as a perfect introduction to Stratford, and superb value for the price.
Enjoyed this self guided tour. Good interesting information on all the important tourist places. For the most part, directions easy to get from each to the next location. Good value for money.
This was our first experience with a tour app and with a “walking tour”. Overall we really liked the ability to pause the tour and re-listen to parts of it. The presenter has a pleasant voice which we easily understood. The only drawback for us is that we were taking the tour on a Sunday, so once we got to the later part of the tour at Trinity Church, we could not finish the tour because of the Sunday service taking place, so we missed seeing the tombs of Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway. Aside from that oversight, we are happy to recommend this tour.
Easy to use, entertaining and informative. I preferred this method of touring to a group tour. Could go at my own pace and pause the tour and make side trips when I wanted.
I love the flexibility of being able to go on this tour at your own convenience. The narrative was clear and I like their feature of telling you to refer to the map when you are not going in the correct direction. Otherwise, it works like Googlemaps with a bubble showing you the direction. I also appreciated being able to download it at home to make sure that it will work.
It was a great way of ensuring I didn’t miss the best parts - I would never have found many of these points by myself - or realised their significance. Will do again at other locations !!!!
A great way to see Stratford-Upon-Avon using the self guided audio app. It was very easy to use and would recommend it to anyone wanting to see the local tourist destinations
Good tour, leans heavily towards the Bard, bit more general history would have been appreciated. Weather was brilliant so grateful for that. Not too busy mid morning, watch out for traffic!
Really good process of seeing the town of Shakespeare’s birth, and everything was of ease to use. The information provided was also Informative.
Without this app guide we would have missed a significant highlight of our visit to Stratford. The guide takes you past all the main sites for which you can purchase entry tickets and they are very worthwhile. The beautiful walk however took us to the edge of the town down to Trinity Church where Shakespeare is actually buried. Not to be missed, this is a gem location not central to the main sites and only using this tour did we discover it. The spoken tour and map is fabulous, the narrator is excellent and we loved his pace and commentary. We used both online and offline maps/guide and did not notice any difference so ease of use is assured. Well worth the small price.
User-friendly app that enabled a quick (or not so quick) self-guided tour of major points of intetest in Shakespeare's home town!
Perfect for doing your own thing along the route! Great instructions after purchase, so follow them and download the audio before your trip. The navigation tools for the audio were great. Just a note if yr first timers to England; most shopping touristy souvenir business close by 5 or half past ;/
Aaaw i wrote a detailed review and the app restarted and now I can’t do as much justice as previously! However, yes this was money well spent. We wanted to learn as much as possible about the great Shakespeare and managed to without breaking the bank. The quality of the guide was so clear and I enjoyed how modern and how conversationally it flowed - compared to the boring dated guides where they talk at you in mono- tone. This I enjoyed tremendously. What I did like the most was how you could go at your own pace, pause it f you needed to pop into a quaint little shop for the old gift or if you wanted to delve into a book shop. Furthermore, you could restart or rewind if you so wished to. The Integrated map had a blue dot which showed you in real time your location the number of the next site was for easy navigation. You could also hop from site to site in any order you desired without necessarily following the order on the program leaving you to roam “Shakespearically” in the idyllic little town. Most of the sites of course, had separate entry feed’s so please be prepared for that if you want to enter ans explore further.. though my best bed is that once you hit to pub, the stop will be a great deal longer! I did enjoy this guide, well made and definitely money well spent.
Lots of information, easy walking route. Tour could be stopped and restarted at any time so good for popping in and out of shops during the route.
Good value and great way to do a self guided tour. I don’t need to say anymore! Annoyingly this review makes me!!
The audio guide was very well timed and informative. Loved the fact that we walked at our own time and pace, however we would have wanted to see Anne Hathaways thatched cottage which could be added on the tour as an option for future. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend.
This was a fantastic way to take a walk and learn a little about Stratford upon Avon. Would recommend it 100%
Very intresting and a good way of sightseeing at youre own pace excellent value and youres to keep for when you next return.
Nice little town with its pedestrian square and small shops. Shakespear’s birthplace and the school he attended take us to another era.
A very nicely designed audio tour. Great if you are in Stratford-Upon-Avon for the first time to get an overview of the city. The tour leads through the city centre and the beautiful park. You can stay anywhere for as long as you want, as the tour automatically continues as you move to the next point. You get a lot of interesting information about Shakespeare without being overloaded with information. Absolutely recommend!
