What an amazing experience! I bought this for my husband Trevors 60th birthday and it did not disappoint - our tour guide Elaine was brilliant and very well knowledgeable about Jeremy and the history of the farm and area - you were never bored - she was constantly giving us historical fact with wit and humour. Excellent ***** stsr tour!

Itinerary
On this tour you'll explore the Cotswolds
Passengers joining the tour at Stratford-upon-Avon will be collected from Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal at 08.50. Then, we travel to the Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh, where we collect our final guests from Moreton-in-Marsh rail station at 9.30am. From Moreton-in-Marsh, it's a 15 minute drive to our first official stop. We'll provide an introduction to the tour en route.
It's just a short drive to our first stop, the viewpoint at Dover's Hill and long the way your driver-guide will begin their entertaining commentary telling you the story of the Cotswolds. At the viewpoint you'll enjoy stunning views and learn about some of the Cotswolds' more quirky traditions! *In poor weather, we may omit the stop at Dover's Hill. It's beautiful in lovely weather, but can get very muddy when it's wet!
Chipping Campden is a charming and typically Cotswolds market town, full of history and heritage but also home to great independent shopping and superb coffee and cake! Using the maps we provide, you'll have around an hour here to explore and discover Chipping Campden for yourself.
Using the narrow backlanes, we visit our "secret" Cotswolds village for around 20 minutes. This is an off-the-beaten-track location that many of our customers agree is the most beautiful village on the tour!
The highest town in the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is a bustling, historic market town with plenty of good shopping, and a variety of excellent places to eat lunch (lunch not included). We stop here for around 1 hour and 15 minutes, and with the maps we provide, you can explore Stow's highlights at your leisure.
Using the narrow back lanes it's approximately a 30-40 minute drive from Stow-on-the-Wold to Bibury. Bibury is a small but perfectly formed Cotswolds village, once described by William Morris as "the prettiest in England". Join us on a tour to see if you agree!
After Bibury, it's a stunning 30 minute drive to Bourton-on-the-Water, our last stop before returning our customers back to where they started. Described as the "Venice of the Cotswolds", Bourton-on-the-Water is a picture-postcard village with Cotswolds stone bridges crossing the River Windrush that runs right through the centre of the village. It's very popular with visitors, especially on a warm day when paddling in the river is the past-time of choice, but a tour of the Cotswolds wouldn't be complete without a stop here.
For passengers who joined us at Moreton-in-Marsh, we return here to drop you off at approximately 5pm. If you are travelling from Moreton-in-Marsh by train, we always recommend that you purchase a flexible ticket that allows you to take any return train, and/or plan to depart after 17.00. We'll then head back to Stratford-upon-Avon to drop off our final guests at approximately 5.30pm. If you would like to start the tour at one pick up point and be dropped off at another, no problem! Just let us know when you request to book. We hope you had a wonderful day!

A wonderful trip with an amazing guide. Steve was very knowledgeable being a local and injected the tour with a wonderful sense of humor. A great day had by all would definitely recommend.
Dave was our driver and tour guide and was a wealth of information about the area. The one day tour gives you a great overview of the region so that you can decide where to explore more in depth. I highly recommend if you don't want to drive and your stay is limited. We stayed in Moreton in Marsh and just walked over to the station. Highly recommend!
Highlight of our trip to England! Steve our guide/driver was outstanding!! First, he greeted us each by name when we arrived at the bus (very nice touch!) We were four adults and four children, and Steve kept the children engaged and interested throughout the day. Steve was full of knowledge of history and geography and culture of the region and shared so much with us on each ride between villages. It felt very much like a guided tour, even though we were walking around on our own in each village. He was very helpful in giving us advice on what to see in our limited time in each village. He introduced us to locals, pointed out the best places to shop and eat in each town, and overall made it a very memorable experience (despite the rain!)
An absolutely fantastic day! Martin is a wonderful guide who is very knowledgeable and great with everyone! He’s a gem (and a good driver!) - we enjoyed everything about our tour day, even in the rain!
司导非常nice,很友好!相很诚恳!讲解很细致。非常棒!
This day was the best of our whole vacation so far. Despite the weather, Steve made the trip so enjoyable. If you are not driving yourself, this is the best way to see some of the Cotswolds. Beautiful little villages!
The tour was amazing, and Peter was the best guide ever! He made us discover the Cotswolds through the eyes of a local, offering an authentic and sustainable way to explore the area. By sharing fascinating facts, local stories, and insights into everyday life, he helped us truly connect with the place and experience its unique charm beyond the usual tourist perspective. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to discover the real Cotswolds! I only wish I’d had more time to join Peter and the team on their other tours as well. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Unfortunately the weather was bad, rainy & foggy so that you could not see the countryside on the tour. The villages are cute but difficult to enjoy in the weather & we did wear appropriate clothes! However, I totally understand why you cannot cancel due to weather. The guide talked too fast to understand & as an American, the accent along w fast talking did not help. He was very gracious & kind.
Trip was awesome! Caught the 7:30 train from London Paddington and arrived and Moreton-in-Marsh at 9:22am … David our tour guide/van driver was there in the train station car park and we stowed our bags in the van and left promptly at 9:30!! The tour was a perfect mix of driving with stops at lovely villages. David was a happy and knowledgeable guide - he told us about a lovely lady who lived in one of the villages and was fourth generation to have hived in the same home ….. when we visited the church in the village …. There she was and we had the most lovely chat with her!. We loved every minute of the tour and would absolutely do it again! We actually left the tour at the last stop because we had booked further nights in Bourton-on-the-water and so we choose not to go back to Moreton and have to taxi back!
If you are short on time and want a taste of what the Cotswolds are about, this is a good place to begin. Guide was knowledgeable about all things Cotswolds.
This tour is a great way to see lots of Cotswolds villages in one day, and to learn about the Cotswolds as you travel. Peter is a fantastic tour guide - he is knowledgeable, interesting and organized. It was great being dropped off and picked up in the heart of each village. I highly recommend this tour.
Steve was an excellent guide to our lovely day in the Cotswolds. We were even able to visit a couple of extra spots, including Stow-in-the Wold and the Tolkein doors. Amazing!
In a day-long tour, guides provide visitors a comprehensive overview of the natural history, rural culture and economy of the Cotswold Region of Central England.
We had a wonderful day with Mark as our guide. It was obvious that he loved living in the Cotswolds and had lots of interesting information to share. We loved his easy going manner and interest in learning about his guests. He took the time to remember our names and showed a genuine interest in our lives. My husband and I travel a fair amount and this tour thanks to Mark might be one of our favourites!
What a perfect introduction to the Cotswolds! Dave was our guide and the entire day was well paced, well narrated, comfortable, and fun. We learned so much from Dave’s commentary as we drove, and had just enough time in each village on our own. We appreciated how we were taken to the busier areas early to avoid the crowds, and the suggestions of things to do at each spot. Highly recommend!
This is an amazing tour. You really do see Cotswolds in a day! Our guide, Elaine was fantastic!! She is so patient and knowledgeable and her bubbly personality kept the tour alive. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Cotswolds in a day!
Great experience! Easy way to get a taste of a very beautiful part of the English countryside ~Peter our guide was professional friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful day!
This was a great introduction/orientation to The Cotswolds. Our guide, Wendy is a local person who brought the right mix of history, economics, folklore and current interest to keep us entertained all day as we moved efficiently from village to village. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in getting to know this charming place.
Informative and entertaining tour guide. Wonderful way to get a taste of this very special location.
It was great! It rained, but there was nothing anybody could do about that
This was a great tour. Dave was our guide, he was very informative and made our day a lot of fun! Sonja
The tour was fantastic. We saw a lot for a day tour. The coach was comfortable. The coach driver was excellent, providing great information and always demonstrating great manners and customer service skills. I highly recommend this tour and company. My wife and I throughly enjoyed it. Thank you.
We saw quite a lot and it’s a beautiful area, especially Snowhill! Mark was an excellent guide. He took the trouble to learn everyone’s name and was helpful and personable.
Host and driver Jason was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, flexible and timely!
This was an excellent way to see some of the beautiful Cotswolds town. Jason was an excellent tour guide with so much information about the area and each town. Excellent suggestions on things to do in each stop.
Excellent experience visiting several towns. Our guide Peter walked us through each place giving us enough time to visit and enjoy it.
It was wonderful! Our guide Jason was excellent. We appreciated his knowledge, humor and his fun stories!!! Truly an enjoyable experience!!
This has to be the go to Tour if you want to explore the Cotswolds. We had a private tour and visited many sites away from the tourist routes along with visits to the popular towns. The minibus enables you to go down the Cotswold lanes to unusual sights. We were fortunate to have Elaine as our Driver/Guide who was extremely knowledgeable of the Cotswolds and its history. The minibus enables you to Cannot recommend Go Cotswolds strongly enough.
We chose Go Cotswolds after using a similar tour guide for the Yorkshire Dales. As neither of our party drives, it's a wonderful way to experience the countryside and surrounding areas. Our guide was Wendy, who was fabulous. Full of information and humour, she really tried to bring the places alive and make things suitable for all the parties aboard. We had let the tour team know in advance that we both walked with sticks and Wendy kindly sourced us the best seats on the bus available, which we were very grateful for. We did see some beautiful towns and villages, but this is where things went down a little for us personally. As a lot of these places are descended on by tourists, parking has been closely monitored by the communities which I can understand. However, as previously mentioned we walk with sticks and for us to get to the places we were meant to see and enjoy, this became a bit of a chore and took a shine off the visit...we would get to the place and then have to think about getting back to the bus. The other disappointment was the seatbelts. I can understand for safety reasons the need of wearing them, but even with an extender they were quite uncomfortable. I know some of the other passengers also found them quite restrictive, which was awkward when on the road for a while.
Our tour guide Wendy made this tour a wonderful experience for us. She was so informative and articulate making the day a very memorable one. We would have loved another day to explore the Cotswolds and would have definitely booked with Go Cotswolds again. But ultimately travelling through the villages and laneways of the Cotswolds was a true highlight of our time in the UK.
I went on my first Go Cotswold tour way back in 2015 and had such a great experience that I knew I had to book them again for my mother's dream trip to England. I can only say that they've gotten even better with time! We went on two tours including Bath and Southern Cotswolds. Colin and Steve were amazing and it's such a bonus to have local Cotswold guides who can give you a real taste of their home. Obviously, it would have been great to spend a bit more time in each place, but still enjoyable. It was wonderful to see new and different places off the beaten path. Go Cotswolds!
We booked this tour based on a friends recommendation. The reviews were excellent, and here's one more! We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our guide/driver(Dave) was terrific! He was very personable, informative, punctual, and made the day alot of fun. You get to see a lot of the Cotswolds on this tour and you'll have ample time to walk around, shop, and sit down for Lunch. Highly recommend!
My sister and I really loved our day touring the Cotswolds with our guide and driver, Wendy. Wendy had lots of funny and interesting stories about the area. She always gave clear instructions where to meet and what to do in the towns. The van was nice and clean, with ports to plug in your phone, big windows, comfortable seats and A/C. The beauty of the Cotswolds speaks for itself. I thought the amount of time we spent in each town was sufficient. If you want to ditch the car and the buses, this is the way to go. My only criticism, and it is a minor one, is that I could have done without the visits to Bibury and Snowshill. There was very little to see in those towns. I think I would have preferred to take the 30 minutes we spent in each of those places, and done an hour perhaps at Broadway instead.
Such a step back in time Wonderful Journey Jason A Local Was an absolute Pleasure Full of Knowledge, Charm and Humor Two thumbs up all the way !
Great day out. Really enjoyed, second time with Go Cotswold, Can't fault anything, superb day and lovely driver/guide. A great way to see the area and very laid back and relaxing tour.
Cotswolds in a Day tour led by Wendy. She took us to Dover's Hill, Chipping Campden, Snowshill, Slow-on-the-Wold, Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water and provided a really some good inside into what we were going to experience and why it was significant to the Cotswolds. Each stop was unique but we didn't go into the experience blind because we had Wendy to lay the groundwork for what we were about to experience. I would, without reservation, suggest and endorse the use of Tours of the Cotswolds for any tour in The Cotswolds if you want to come away from the experience with your base of knowledge increased and thirsting for more. Thanks everyone, you did a great job.
We had a wonderful time on this tour. We took a train from London for this day trip, which was perfect. Martin was an amazing guide. We learned a lot about the area itself as well as the history of England. The towns we stopped in were truly special. Highly recommend this company and the trip
Great day and an amazing, knowledgeably, friendly and professional guide Martin - thank you for an amazing day - I highly recommend it!
Wonderful driver ! Van was so comfortable and clean. Our driver was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend this company.
The tour was very interesting. The guide was welcoming and spoke very clearly and thoughtfully for non-native speakers, for which he deserves a huge thank you. We really enjoyed this day.
First of all, our train was delayed and the tour started without us. But Steve drove back and picked us up allowing us to get back with the tour. Amazing customer service Second, our guide Steve was awesome. A great driver, funny and knowledgeable. Being a local he got us around traffic and really knew his stuff. That said, there was a lot packed into the day. Too little time to really enjoy the towns. We felt rushed at every stop. But saw interesting things and enjoyed the day.
A grand Day out despite the rain. Peter our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable and very obliging. So many nationalities on mini bus as we were only two English on board which was lovely. It gives a good taster of where you would want to go back to after visiting the villages. In all a great 8 hour day out.
Exploring the Cotswolds was an unforgettable experience, made truly special by our amazing guide, Martin. Every single detail of the journey was fantastic, from the breathtaking countryside views to the charming villages. Martin’s local knowledge, warmth, and engaging stories brought the whole region to life, and I loved every single bit of it. Thank you for crafting such a memorable and seamless adventure!
The tour experience was really good . The tour guide Wendy Necar was excellent and polite respectful. She had guided the group thoroughly and correctly true professional. She was interactive and also gave thorough back ground of all the location she took us. The pick up time and drop off time was spot on. we would always recommend anybody going to cotswold
Wonderful sights . Elaine did an excellent job in giving us an insight on the history behind the attractions. She’s also a very good driver.
Peter was our guide and was most excellent. Punctual pick up, extremely knowledgeable about the areas we were going (both with historical context and facts and present day recommendations). I liked that our tour was a small one - 16 people max - rather than the large bus tours that seem so impersonal and rather overwhelm the small villages we visited. We were given a lot of info on our drives to/between stops and were generally unattended to during our visits, left to explore as we chose with set “return to this meet up spot” times. It was really quite nice and felt like a well done tour. I only wish we had a little more time in each stop but otherwise fantastic! I clearly couldn’t get enough of the Cotswolds!
Wonderful experience. Our guide, Elaine, was fun and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the entire adventure.
Every stop was wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our day. Highly recommend for a one-day visit to the Cotswolds.
I Did the Tour with Peter on 15th of August and was not Disappointed. Peter did an Outstanding job in Highlighting the History and showing our group some of the towns that make up the Cotswold. With this being my first time in the area it was great to explore some of the highlights of these communities and places that make up this wonderful part of the United Kingdom, and there goal to support Sustainable Tourism in and around the Area. For those looking for a small group tour with an outstanding day out in the Cotswolds, look no further than Go Cotswolds Tours. Peter Thank You for an Enjoyable Experience. I look forward to using this operator in the Future
