Itinerary
Shakespeare's Birthplace Coach Terminal in Stratford-upon-Avon is the first of our two pick up points. If you select our Stratford-upon-Avon pick up point, meet here at 08.45, ready for departure at 08.50.
A 30 minute journey through the pretty Warwickshire Cotswolds countryside brings us to Moreton-in-Marsh, the second of our pick up points. If you select our Moreton-in-Marsh pick up location, please wait in the car park outside the ticket office at Moreton-in-Marsh railway station. The tour departs, and officially begins, here at 9.30AM.
After a pretty 45-minute journey from Moreton-in-Marsh, we'll arrive in the Southern Cotswold market town of Tetbury - a beautiful and historic must-see location. Tetbury's quaint streets include the picturesque 'Chipping Steps' and are home to numerous independent shops, cafes, tea-rooms and -especially - antiques shops! Fans of the British Royal Family are in for a treat here - King Charles and Queen Camilla live at Tetbury's Highgrove Estate! A Highgrove Estate shop is here for all your royal souvenirs!
After a lovely 45-minute journey from Tetbury, we'll arrive in the beautiful city of Bath. First, we'll make a quick photo stop at the photogenic Royal Crescent. This impressive curved terrace is considered the finest example of Georgian architecture in the country! Fans of Jane Austen and Bridgerton will be delighted as The Royal Crescent is a popular filming location for Georgian period TV and film works.
A 15 minute journey from The Royal Crescent brings us to the centre of Bath. This incredibly beautiful city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site! You'll have around 2 hours and 45 minutes of free time to explore here, with maps we provide. You won't have time to do everything Bath has to offer, but visits to the famous Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and the Jane Austen Centre are high on many visitors' to-do lists! Don't forget to shop for souvenirs and grab some lunch too!
Leaving Bath, it's a 35 minute journey to our final stop: the idyllic village of Castle Combe, repeatedly voted "the prettiest village in England". Get those Instagram-worthy photos on the quaint bridge, but don't forget to see it with your own eyes too! A walk through tiny Castle Combe feels like stepping back in time.
It takes around 1 hour 30 minutes to drive from Castle Combe back to Moreton-in-Marsh station, so sit back, relax and enjoy the pretty Cotswolds countryside as it rolls by. We'll return to Moreton-in-Marsh by approximately 6.00 PM.
A final 30 minute drive brings us back to Stratford-upon-Avon, where we say goodbye to our remaining passengers. The drop off time here is approximately 6.30PM. We hope you had a wonderful day exploring Bath and the Southern Cotswolds with us!

A well organized tour to the beautiful and unique city Bath, from the Cotswolds. Our guide and driver Dave gave us interesting and informative commentary as we drove through the beautiful countryside, stopping at a couple of villages along the way. It’s a bit of a drive to Bath, but Dave’s interactive and enlightening narrative made the ride go quickly. Good recommendations on what to see in Bath as well, with adequate time for us to explore on our own. We did three tours with Go Cotswolds, and couldn’t be more pleased with their itineraries, comfortable coaches, professionalism, and most importantly their intelligent and kind guides. Highly recommend the company and this specific tour!
Our guide was Colin and he was wonderful. He was funny, made sure to know all of the names of everyone in the tour and have us really good information. Can't wait for our next tour.
I didn’t realize when I booked this tour that the guide only drives and drops us in each city and then picks up and takes us to the next. They do not guide you through the town themselves. Apparently they can not park the buses in the small towns. But it turned out to be fine, as the driver provides so much information on the drive, instructions and suggestions on places to see and things to do. The driver was extremely knowledgeable of history which was wonderful and provided insight to daily life at the time these cities were built. The bus is comfortable and has air conditioning and the director gives you a map of each city. Drop off and pick up are at the same point, making it easy to remember and find.
After a wonderful tour of the Cotswolds in November 2025, we decided to take a second tour when we returned to the UK in March. This time we toured Bath and the Southern Cotswolds. The experience was just as fantastic as the first time! Our guide Elaine was just lovely! Very knowledgeable, friendly and aware of giving us the best experience at all times, not to mention being a very competent and safe driver. We had more than adequate time at all of the stops and lots of information along the way. The pick up and drop offs were perfectly on time and communication with the company was excellent. We are now looking at hoping to incorporate a third tour on our next visit to the UK! If you are in any doubt about booking with this company, just do it, you won't regret it!! Jo & Patrick
Everything with communications prior to and the ease in meeting on the day itself, was top-notch. Elaine, our guide, made the day what it was. Not only was she an expert in local knowledge but her interest in meeting the needs of all was her top priority. Her demeanor and kindness will have a lasting effect on my opinion of England. Thank you for an incredible tour experience. If time allowed, I would have booked another. Lisa Ready
Our tour of the Cotswolds and Bath made for a wonderful day. Our tour guide, Jason, was truly outstanding!!
This is our second day trip with GoCotswolds and all expectations were met. Jason the guide was warm, friendly, gave clear explanations and showed his obvious appreciation of this beautiful area. Highly recommend this company.
We took the Cotswolds and Bath day trip. Our guide, Colin, was fabulous. Super friendly, very knowledgeable. He made our day extremely enjoyable. Booking was easy, and all of the communication was excellent. We knew exactly where to go for pickup and drop off. Would highly recommend this service.
Go Cotswolds is an award winning tour company for good reason. The admin staff were so helpful as we planned our visit, and both Sue and Lisa were very patient with my endless questions. Our tour group was smaller than usual and we enjoyed our new friends (especially the 2nd Jessica, added to our merry group of Lori’s and Jessica’s!) Our guide was knowledgeable and made the driving time between towns interesting. I felt like I had all the time I wanted in Castle Combe but could have easily spend another hour in Tetbury. We left the tour in Bath and continued on to London but our time there, and the helpful recommendations from our guide, made Bath memorable. I highly recommend Go Cotswolds to anyone looking to spend time in this beautiful area!
This is actually the second of three reviews for our three tours of the Cotswolds with gocotswolds . Our tour guide Elaine did a wonderful job of educating us about the history of the Cotswolds and exactly how it came to be. She was loaded with facts and tips about each stop and was very friendly. Her driving was superb. We had a wonderful experience with her and highly recommend her and the gocotswolds tour company.
We did all three tours with Go Cotswolds, Secret. day in the Cotswolds and this one, all three were very enjoyable and well organized. Tour guides were knowledgeable and fun and took great care of us and gave us suggestions on what to do in our free time. It's a nice way to see the area and leaving the driving and parking to them.
This was our 2nd Tour with Go Cotswolds . Wendy, was our driver/tour guide. She did an excellent job of getting around the Cotswolds area on a beautiful sunny Sunday day. The villages we visited were very busy, but thankfully with our 16 passenger van, Wendy was able to find parking to drop us off so we could explore on our own. This is the beauty of Go Cotswolds tours. The guides provide the history of the villages you are going to visit for the day as you drive along. Then when you get to the villages you are on your own to explore, eat, etc. it is the best of both worlds. I highly recommend that you book as many tours with Go Cotswolds as your time allows. It’s the only way to see the Cotswolds! We booked all three tours that they offered in the Spring!
The tour was perfectly well organised. The timing was good. Martin gave us a lot of information and he was fun. I liked a lot the tour. We started at 9h30 from Moreton and got back there around 18h, so all day long but we got to know many places. We were a small group (11 people) and all of them were fun and puntual. The cost of the tour is adequate. I did it alone, but I think this tour is great for families (in fact there was a couple with a little girl) or even for couples and groups of friends up to 15 maybe.
Martin was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed our day with him! He provided great information on each of our stops.
We had such a wonderful time doing the Bath and Southern Cotswolds tour with Go Cotswolds! Lisa was incredibly helpful getting us set up for our tour, and our tour guide Steve was an absolute delight. He was knowledgeable and kind and brought so much humor and joy to our day. We got to see so many truly beautiful areas of the country, and our tour made it so easy and comfortable to experience it all. We hope to return and do another tour with Go Cotswolds in the future!
I had a great time on this tour with Martin as our guide! Martin was very personable and entertaining as he took us through the last 2,000 years of English history while we drove to each stop. We had plenty of exploration time in each area and Martin was always there to welcome us back. It's very clear he prioritizes the safety and experience of everyone onboard. This company and the guides have really gone above and beyond for each excursion. I would love to come back with my husband and share these tours with him. Genuinely enjoyed my time and consider it very well spent.
Jason was excellent about the area. In my opinion too much time was allowed in Bath. Perhaps other quaint villages could have been included.
Great tour and a knowledgeable tour guide! We didn’t feel rushed and the guide gave us lots of information on the areas we saw.
From start to finish the tour was incredibly well organised, interesting and well paced. Our guide Elaine was a true local expert, extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in great detail. Her genuine passion for the region shines through and made the tour so much fun! If you're visiting the Cotswolds and want a memorable, stress free, and enriching experience, I highly recommend Go Cotswolds!!
First of all, I would like to say THANK YOU, STEVE! 谢谢! From start to finish, the day was perfectly paced, well-organized, and filled with charming insights. We explored picture-perfect villages like Castle Combe, where Steve shared fascinating history and local stories that brought each stop to life. His knowledge of the region, combined with his great sense of humor and warm personality, made us feel like we were traveling with a very informed friend rather than just a guide. The day in Bath—will definitely visit Bath again! Steve gave us enough time to explore while still offering helpful tips and context to make the most of our visit. It never felt rushed, yet we covered so much. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxed but enriching experience in the English countryside! It much much better than the tour departs from Oxford or London. If I have any chance to visit Cotswolds again, I will definitely go with Go Cotswold to explore secret regions.
Relaxed and friendly, knowledgeable and thoughtful guide. Well planned route. Nicd vehicle and Small group
I went on a day tour with my dad to Bath and the Southern Cotswolds, and it was absolutely fantastic! Our guide, Colin, was incredible - super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. He took the time to explain the history of Bath and the charming villages in the Cotswolds, and he was great at tailoring the tour to our pace. Colin was also really thoughtful, making sure we were comfortable! The mix of beautiful sights, fascinating history, and relaxed vibe made it a perfect day out. I’d definitely recommend Colin and Go Cotswolds to anyone looking to explore this area!
Wonderful tour with knowledgeable effervescent storyteller… nothing could have made it a better experience! Thank you Steve and Go Cotswolds!
We booked a tour of Bath and southern Cotswold. It turns out we were the only two on the tour that day so our amazing tour guide Steve made a very creative tour for us. He lives and grew up in the Cotswolds and was so knowledgeable it was amazing. He is a spectacular tour guide, extremely knowledgeable and charming. I would definitely use this company again. It was an amazing experience.
It was a great experience, very well organised and with a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide (Jason). Would thoroughly recommend.
The Southern Cotwolds tour to Bath was great. Our tour guide for the day was Dave and he was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. Our favorite part of the day was definitely Castle Combe. Go Cotswolds really gave us a lot of time in Bath which was nice so we had time to see Bath abbey and take a tour of the Roman Baths.
I loved experiencing the charm of the area with a limited number of people and hearing its history. Booking online ahead of time was easy and the value for the fee felt right.
This was the second time I joined trip with Go-Costwolds. FIVE STARS, each journey was so memorable. Wishing your tour business success in the future endeavor.
