Strasbourg: Small Group Walking Tour Between History And Curiosities

We had an informative tour at a moderate pace with a very friendly, enthusiastic guide.

Excellent tour by Davide, featuring a fine balance between history, humour and architectural oddities. Well paced for older and younger visitors, including a brief mid tour rest stop, and recommendations for activities and food. Great way to start orientating yourself in Strasbourg.

Davide was incredibly charming, informative, and engaging. He was exactly the kind of tour guide we were hoping for. In only two hours we got to understand the historical context of the city and learn interesting facts about certain landmarks and buildings. I’d suggest doing this tour early in your visit to Strasbourg because you will get tips on where else to visit, how to get in, which restaurants to choose (and which to avoid). Davide was outstanding and knowledgeable about the rich history of the German and French control over the Alsace region.

This was a wonderful tour. The guide was enthusiastic, funny, and formative. I felt like a got a great overview of the city plus lots of great recommendations on restaurants.

The guide was well informed, funny, full of energy, and generally a pleasure. He clearly knew what he was doing, but at the same time it felt like a unique experience. I would highly recommend this tour for completeness of information and for entertainment value, which can be a hard combination to achieve.

He made sure everyone could hear him well which was challenging on a busy Saturday during the Journee des Patrimoines when the city is very crowded. We had an excellent tour with Davide. He is very knowledgeable and gave us historical context for the tour. We learned so much today. The pace was good, Davide made sure he spoke loudly so all could hear or picked quieter places to stop to speak, it was difficult because the city was very busy on a Saturday afternoon during the Journee de Patrimoine weekend so he had to make extra effort. He made it fina and entertaining and we had a very good experience. Well worth it

A nice overview of Strasbourg central area and the main sights. Time taken was just right for us and included a coffee and toilet stop. Davide had lots of interesting stories to tell and was an enthusiastic guide.

We had a wonderful two hours exploring Strasbourg with Davide! He is knowledgeable about the city’s history and did a great job of making it both interesting and easy to follow. We also appreciated all his local tips on where to eat and what places to avoid. His recommendations made it easier for us to get a feel for the city beyond the usual tourist spots. Davide did a great job of orienting us to the historic district of Strasbourg. He shared with us his deep understanding of the unique effects that the changing tides of ethnic and political control of the region had on the city and what we see today. His enthusiasm and the energy he put into his presentation helped bring the history and the sights alive.

We had a great time with this tour. David is friendly and very knowledgeable. He also share some recommendations of other places to see and restaurant to get lunch after the tour.

Ends at Petit not the cathedral as advertised. Probably could be reduced to 2 hr and end at the cathedral so you can go into it afterwards if you chose.

Interesting walk, took about 2hrs 40mins. Got an overview of the city on our first full day. Just a small group of 10.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Davide. We did it on one of the hottest days of the year and he kept it at a really manageable pace with as much shade as possible and sensible breaks. An absolutely amazing tour! Davide was very knowledgeable about Strasbourg and Alsace, and was able to handle any question we threw at him.
