Strasbourg Craft Beer Tasting Experience (Before Opening Hours)

Fantastic experience for any level of beer knowledge. This was the best excursion we did all week and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a break from wine tasting and audio tours around town.

This was such a personable and educational experience. I really appreciated the individualized attention. The menu was modified to meet my preferences. I learned so much about the history and culture of Alsace and enjoyed really delicious beers.

I've been on many beer and boat tours. It being January we decided to try an indoor beer tasting. Atreyu completely changed my idea of what beer can be. 10/10. Arrive prepared to listen and learn. Well worth the money!

My adult kids and I had a great experience at the beer tasting, which was hosted by a knowledgeable expert. We tried a very wide variety of beers--most from Alsace, but also some from other parts of the world. One thing of note is that this is not a "tour" of different locales with Alsatian beers, but rather a tasting at one location.

An awesome experience, definitely shouldn’t be skipped if you have any interest in beer! Even if you don’t usually have an interest, the selections are amazing and varied, I found a whole new appreciation for beer and the way it’s made. Not to mention our incredibly friendly and knowledgeable expert, Atreyu, was passionate and enthusiastic about the beers and history. Couldn’t recommend more!

Brilliant tasting session with an excellent host. Good fun, well organised, and knowledgeable host who encouraged us to try both mainstream beers but also some more off piste beers I'd not normally try. Would recommend to all beer lovers and anyone who just wants a convivial aperitif before dinner.

We were met at the door, bang on time by our host, Atreyu. He was very welcomimg and extremely knowledgeable about the beers on offer as well as local history and culture. He took us through a warming plethora of local and foreign craft beers with amiable banter throughout. He spoke fluent English, and I would assume French Dutch and German also, and made some great recommendations for the rest of our stay. Would recommend highly.

This experience was so much fun! Atreyu was so personable and knowledgeable about beer! We really enjoyed the opportunity to sample so many different kinds of beer and the conversation that went along with. His other recommendations for places to try we're also spot on!

My husband and I attended this beer tasting with 9 other people and really enjoyed it! I am not a beer drinker but by the end of the tasting he had me turned on to the sours! My husband really enjoyed chatting with the German gentlemen who also attended! Thanks for a great time!

Excellent and very agreeable host. He was extremely charming, and the beer selection was excellent. Lots of local and delicious craft beers. Will go back multiple times, also gives great tips for your stay when it comes to bars, restaurants, and just things to do.

I will reccomend this tasting to anyone that likes beer and wants to enjoy it in a different city, as well as anybody that wants to learn more about Strasbourg culture. Our guide (Atreyu) was knowledgeable, funny and made the whole experience great!

This was nice break during our day trip to Strasbourg (from Colmar). We learned about the Alsatian craft beer and tasted about 5 of them. Our host was very knowledgeable. We ended up enjoying the Alsatian sours, which was a surprise, as we don’t usually like sour at home in the US. Good way to spend an hour and try the local brews.

Our guide, Atreus (I apologize if I misremembered your name) was incredibly informative in both the beer we tasted and local and contintenal history. We are from a place in the U.S. that is part of the craft beer explosion so we were so happy with our experience in sampling what this region has to offer. Beyond that, we were left wishing that our guide had been our tour guide days before. His knowledge of the city was thorough and gave fantastic recommendations on all things: bars to further sample Strasbourg's craft beer, restaurants, and the "must-do's" for historical sites.

We enjoyed a small group tasting with local selections. Was amazed to learn about a variety of beers and enjoyed laughs with the guide. Knowing now that Alsace is the top producer for beers and that Alsace is more than wine, it was definitely a great cultural exposure. Highly recommend and we are there to have fun!

Nous avons été avec Atreyo, un barman exceptionnel ! Moi qui n’aimais pas la bière à cause de son amertume, j’ai été surprise par la douceur et la finesses de certaines bières. Pour celui qui était amateur de bière, ce fut également un excellent moment pour en apprendre plus sur les arômes, leur fabrication… et leur goût. Je le recommande chaleureusement !

What an interesting and fun experience! Our Host was welcoming and professional and then we all Europeans have a soft spot for the Dutch. I do not want to spoil the very original selection of beers you will taste, accompanied by frites still steaming, but there will be ooooohhh of pure wonder. Highly recommended for couples, families, singles, of all ages ... but why is there someone who does not like beer?

The tasting was very informative and the guide was very engaging, although it is a public and not a private event. Unfortunately, due to St. Patrick's Day, the offering was less regional and more international. Also, no homemade snack was served, as described in the ticket.
