Self-guided Group Tour Of Strasbourg ( + 6 Local Surprises)

Once we got it working, it was a good amount of information and an easy to follow tour. However, I had to reach out to get information about how to download and use the app, that wasn’t readily accessible. Most of the treats were cute as well.

What a fun idea! Weather was bad but with the interactive tour we had a great day exploring Strasbourgh!

Easy to navigate and good information. Back pack is nice touch. Wish we could have spent more time in the city but were on a quick connection to Paris

Strasbourg is a place to visit in summer, with beautiful scenary n wonderful history. A must visit to Colmar as well and lots of French n Germany history

The reviews we read about this audio walking tour were very accurate - it is a great tour and extremely well organized. We picked up the backup that came with the tour package at the tourism office across from the cathedral. Having locally produced gifts to open up during the tour added a special touch to an already impressive tour. The level of information provided in the tour was well crafted and we felt we walked away with a much better understanding of the history of the city. One thing I would advise is starting out as early as you can. We picked up the tour backpack at 9 am when the tourism office opened. At that point in time there were only a few people in the square around the cathedral. Within an hour the same area was packed with people and got progessively crowded as the day went on. By the way we did one of the Batorama boat tours later in the day and it covered similar information to the audio tour but not as well. It was actually a very boring tour and not worth the money. Stick with the walking tour.

Informative, well laid out walk, nice little gifts relevant to the region and great instructions from the organisers. We learnt a lot about the town and appreciated the sites more than we would have without the detail, maps and app. Highly recommend and a better alternative to the free walks available which lack focus, information and personal touch.

This was a very informative yet entertaining walking tour. The app is well done and the local gifts within the backpack are a nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time at this.

Fun tour that you can do at your own pace. Takes you past plenty of fun places, shops and restaurants. The bag with gifts was a very nice touch. Great experience!

I absolutely LOVED this experience. The app worked well, and I enjoyed learning fun facts about the city and taking the occasional quiz. The gifts were enjoyable, too. I was alone in Strasbourg, and this made me feel as if I was traveling with a local. It was VERY hot, so nice to be able to stop and rest halfway and then return to the tour later. I am confident that I would not have seen so much of the city without this tool. If i find myself in other cities that offer it, I will not hesitate!

This is our second time using Hopla guide, after doing the Colmar tour 2 years ago. The experience in both tours is fantastic! The developers have put so much love onto making the tours :) The bag contains 6 very nice presents, but still the best part of the tour is the stories about the place that you learn along! You also get to see places you wouldn't otherwise (in Strasbourg for example, there is a bonus tour to unlock which takes you a bit off the touristic part, and is super interesting!!!) Despite having done audio guide tours in other cities & countries, nothing compares to Hopla guide :) I really hope they expand to more cities :)

A great way to walk and visit the sights in Strasbourg and learn a bit of history about them at your own pace, which was helpful traveling with two kids who can get bored. They really loved the bags and revealing the surprises along the way. At some points the directions in the app were a bit lacking, but the map helped fill in the gaps. Would love to see something like this in other cities.

Stayed at christmes in a central hotel. We enjoyed every moment. The city was decorated. Food and drink everywere. And happy people.highly recommendt.

Nice selfguided tour with a twist, you receive local items for your good answer! That means you get to visit the city, all the best places, have fun while finding your way and answer questions, and also receive cool items and things to eat. There is even a bonus tour that we did on our second day in Strasbourg.

I did this self guided tour with my two children under age 10. We greatly enjoyed and learned a lot about Strasbourg’s history. My kids enjoyed the interactive app guide. Highly recommend!

A great way to explore the city at our own pace, allowing us to take a break to go shopping or have a drink when we passed interesting places. This is a much better option for us the using guides. We loved the gift bag and surprises! Looking forward to exploring more cities with Hopla in the future!

That was super interesting and fun. We went to the tourist office and were given our backpack. Then with the app we started walking in the city, following instruction and discovering MANY things we would have never know otherwise. Great buildings and architecture details. The path is very well conceived so that you see everything in one walk.

We have been traveling as a family in Strasburg and have completely rediscovered the city. The tour takes you to unknown corners, tells funny and interesting details and the tasks motivate you to continue. Highly recommended and the souvenirs in the backpack fit the overall experience.

An experience that allows you to visit Strasbourg from a different angle, at your own pace, at your leisure. A mix of puzzles and anecdotes about the city very pleasant. We thought we had one bag per person but in reality only one bag is distributed per group: we had to share the surprises😞

Wir haben die Tour mit Großeltern und Enkeln gemacht (11 bis 79 Jahre) und hatten viel Spaß und haben viel gelernt. Die Tour ist sowohl in Bezug auf die Fragen als auch in Bezug auf die regionalen Geschenke sehr liebevoll zusammengestellt. Da der Weg für mehrere Teilnehmer*innen etwas lang war, haben wir die Tour in zwei Teile aufgeteilt.

Exciting and entertaining city tour. The ideal format if you like to travel independently and want to find out about the essentials quickly without having to read long travel guides. The built-in puzzles and audios also make it attractive for children and young people to wander through the city and find out more.

Very nice experience. We had a good time as a family, our children aged 6-8 and 10 listening to have the right to open the memory. Which day we go to Colmar and we will repeat the experience with pleasure

It was a lot of fun. We spread it over two days, so we could also look to the right and left and always take a culinary break.

We were relaxed about 3h (with tarte flambée interruption 😋) on the road. Our kids (14+15J) and we loved the app, the told info and the little gifts in the backpack. For small children probably still a little too long and too demanding. But otherwise highly recommended.

We enjoyed the tour a lot. The backpack filling is put together quite love- and sensibly and especially with the gifted additional tour not too expensively paid. We would like to add some more information and background, but even so we were already very satisfied.

We enjoyed this original tour. The app is well made. Navigation is easy, with text and photo, which makes us lift our heads and observe to find our way. The quizzes are fun and the information is interesting. The audios were made with cool sound effects.

A wonderful city tour. Very loving and interesting made. Definitely worthwhile, even for culture-interested adults. First, a technical tip: At what downloading a disaster, but the patience was absolutely worth it: If you buy from Tripadvisor, be sure to change the default date! You will then be taken to Hopla Tours App via the Viator app. Curious: You get the backpack in the tourist info sb, but they nice ladies have no idea how it works and can't help. Best to get back to the hotel and connect to stable WLAn/WIFI and then you get a mail and can install everything on your phone. You then come through the city like a scavenger hunt with great details and information. And the enchanting really lovingly made gifts for the different stations. Absolutely great!! We have seen a lot and learned what no guidebook says. For example, the Slimming Pillar, the Devil's Wind, the guild signs, the Raven's Court or the Future Capsule. Absolute recommendation, absolutely make!

we were with our teenagers for a weekend in Strasbourg and were looking for an exciting city tour where we can set the pace ourselves. We all had our fun with this interactive tour and the app. Through the tasks and quizzes it was totally entertaining, the little surprises from the backpack were lovingly chosen. Of course, you would have learned just as much (or more) with a normal guidebook, but we certainly would have had less joy than families

My wife and I were skeptical at first and had problems with the locations. But then it went and the distance was long. There was a lot of information and even a few quizzes, so it was very nice for us.

perfect city tour! Handing over the backpack at the tourist info works without any problems. Then it can start right away. We were a family of five people. The children between 11 and 18 years old. Everyone has the app installed and so we can all get the information well during the tour. We are led to interesting points with good descriptions. The surprises from the backpack are still a treat on top. Absolute recommendation

We let ourselves be guided by the application with ease, we saw everything we wanted to see and more. The backpack was a big plus, we had a lot of fun opening surprises. At the end, a "bonus" visit is offered, it is worth doing.

I recommend it. We explored the city on our own. We looked for our bag in the tourist information and then let the app guide us. Funny and interesting!

It is a complete visit, we were able to visit the city of Strasbourg with two children aged 7 and 10 and the surprises amused them throughout the visit.
