Alsace Full Day Private Tour Tailored By Your Friendly Driver

My husband and I just returned from a trip to the beautiful Alsace region in France. Our guide Matt was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely enjoyable to spend a day with. He asked what we were interested in and then tailored the day to our interests. He worked around the early morning fog and the day flew by. Book with Matt, you will not be disappointed!

We had am excellant day out with Stephane. We took his advise and avoided areas that were very busy and he took us to some little gems. He is very knowledgeable, the surprise of an Doff Cremant apero in a little village was special. If I could rate this tour higher than a 5 , I would. We took a Steph on Tour private tour of the villages of Alsace with our guide and driver Christoff. Christoff did an amazing job passionately providing insights during the trip. What so impressed us were the special "secret" places that he took us to that were off the main travel circut. This added to our overall experience as these were places we could have never discovered on our own. We included three main villages, a picnic lunch a private wine tasting as well as the little known places. The pace was excellent and we did not feel rushed. In addition, this tour group is very flexible and will taylor the itinerary to your specifications. We decided to take Christoff's recommendations and were so glad that we did. Christoff truly made the trip remarkable. I can highly recommend this tour group.

Christophe was an excellent host and guide. He took us to a few places that were off of the normal tourist path. A beautiful church and a park. Took us to two wineries for tastings. A huge castle. And a great lunch of local foods in an old style basement resturant. We highly recommend this tour. Lastly, he made it easy for my wife who has mobility problems.

Christophe was absolutely incredible! You can tell this isn’t a job for him; he is so proud and knowledgeable of this area. My husband and I were blown away by all the hidden gems throughout Alsace. We saw historic churches, castles and fairytale villages. The food Christophe recommended was amazing and the wine he had us taste was the best we’ve ever had (we bought five bottles to bring back to the US — it was so good!!) We cannot thank Christophe enough for his professionalism from beginning to end and also the incredible car we got to drive in! Wow! This was one of the best tours we have ever done in Europe. Stephan was incredible from the beginning as we FaceTimed together so that he could understand what we wanted to see. He made sure to tailor the trip to our interests. We then met Christophe, our guide. Christophe is super knowledgeable, smart and friendly. He made this trip special - with his local knowledge of his “ hidden gems” - areas we would never know about or see without him. We learned so much about the history of the region, its people and culture that we came away truly loving this region of France/ Alsace. From the churches, to The Castle, to the fairytale villages, Christophe had planned the day perfectly - right down to the very best angles to take the most incredible pictures. And the Tesla was a great car for touring- very comfortable. So much better than being jammed into a van with a bunch of other people. Christophe had bottled water for us, umbrellas for the sprinkles, and a wonderful bottle of sparkling wine at a gorgeous picnic spot. We only wish we could do the Black Forest Tour with him this trip- but alas, that will have to wait till the next time we visit. Be on the lookout for the storks! Christophe is an excellent guide; he is on time, friendly, and shares lots of information about the places you visit. He is local and his passion for the region is evident. During the day in Alsace, we had fun visiting villages, churches and two wineries as well as a couple of hidden gems(which we would have never found on our own!). Christophe even pointed out the storks! : - ) The day in the Black Forest had so many interesting stops-we really enjoyed ourselves. Steph-On-Tour is so easy to work with and developed customized experiences for us, including pickup at our hotel in Colmar and reservations for delicious lunches both days. On a side note, the Tesla is a great car and Christophe is a safe driver. We felt like we started our 2 days with a tour guide and were lucky enough to have a new friend by the end of our time together. We highly recommend these tours. Merci Beaucoup!

My husband and I spent the day touring the Black Forest and Baden Baden with Christophe. It is a lovely area and Christophe explained the Alsacian area with it's French and German history and traditions. Christophe is a an excellent guide. His English is great and he is very knowledgeable about the area and made the day fly by. The Tesla was a comfortable car and he is a safe driver. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, nice lunch in Baden Baden and gorgeous scenery in the Black Forest. I highly recommend this tour. Ask for Christophe. He goes above and beyond!

Wonderful experience. Stephan was a perfect guide. We learned lots about the Alsace area tasted the regional wine explored several small towns. A full day comfy luxury van. Truly a one of a kind experience that he catered to our interests.

Excellent experience- we found it to be the most efficient means of comfortable travel between two cities -a relaxed way in which to discover tiny, picturesque villages, (entering prior to the onslaught of the tour buses), private wine tastings, and a castle - with a lovely, professional driver/tour guide. We normally utilize trains for transportation in Europe, but the scheduling of said trains in the Alsace region was at times illogical and involved a huge consumption of precious wasted vacation time- by utilizing Steph's services (and splitting the cost between two couples) we instead enjoyed a fascinating and quite lovely day- seeing sights that we would have missed and experiences that cannot happen when just traveling by rail. We found that the company was extremely easy and professional to deal with- from inital contact to constant interactions and communication from management and the driver. We highly recommend this company.

Spent a memorable day exploring Alsace, visiting a medieval castle and the Fairytale village of Riquewihr. Our Host- Christophe was an extremely warm person who patiently gave personalised attention to each of us. Loved the little impromptu surprise 🍷 he treated us to outside a lovely castle and how he helped us with his suggestions on restaurants and eateries in Riquewihr. Best of all was this lesser known and lesser visited Church that he showed us which was not part of the itinerary. Thanks a lot team

I had the pleasure of an excellent tour of Alsace with Stefania. It was a wonderful and well planned itinerary and she was an excellent and knowledgable tour guide. We went to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday, our guide, Stefania, was lovely, really knowledgeable, helpful and made our day fabulous! We were collected from our accommodation in an amazing, modern and air conditioned car and visited beautiful churches, an amazing castle, 2 wineries and got to tour a vineyard wine cellar! We enjoyed a celebratory bottle of Cremant in a beautiful view of the mountains and vineyards. And had an amazing authentic French birthday cake in the vineyards alongside a charcuterie board whilst tasting the local wines. We then went to the beautiful town of Riquewihr where we tasted more wines and got a personalised tour of the town by Stefania. Thank you for making my father’s birthday amazing, he had the time of his life! This really was the perfect day and I cannot recommend enough!!

An absolute must if you’re visiting the Alsace! Christophe was our driver and couldn’t have been more friendly, attentive and professional. Pick up was prompt and on time, communication prior to pick up was clear, and the car was fabulous. We visited a castle, a grand ornate village church, the medics lab village Beauty and the Beast was inspired by and did two wine tastings. Everywhere we looked was absolutely stunning, with vineyard stretching everywhere, and flowers in boxed gardens on every building. It was truly a fairy tale experience.

Four of us spent a day touring the Alsace region. We all agreed it was a wonderful day. Stephanea was delightful, informative, personal and we appreciated her choices for the stops. The castle stop was very good and we all enjoyed it very much. Stephanea’s narrative in the van before each stop helped us know what we were going to experience. We enjoyed the surprise at the “laundry” stop. The cremant was a fun choice to share with us, and the scenery was beautiful. We would highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible! Alsace is a hidden gem and Christof knows every facet of this glorious place. He is personable and has great English if you need it. We felt like we’d made a new friend and were thrilled about how much our new friend knew! Worth every penny!

This is a wonderful way to see the little Medieval villages in Alsace . our driver Roman showed us lovely churches, took us to a wine tasting, and was extremely fun, pleasant and knowledgeable. Cannot think of a better tour.

Our group (two couples) had a fabulous day touring Alsace with Christopher. We have taken many tours over the years and this is up there with the best of them! He arrived on time in a wonderfully comfortable car and had the entire day planned to meet our wishes—- two wineries, a few charming medieval villages (Riquewihr and Bergheim) and an ancient, breathtakingly beautiful church with a final champagne toast in a lovely field in the countryside. His driving was impeccable and he was lovely to spend the day with! HIGHLY recommend.

He even gave me an extra hour at no additional cost, which I really appreciated. The fare was very reasonable—definitely on the economical side—so they absolutely deserved the tip! Our driver, Christopher, was kind, respectful, and very knowledgeable, which made the journey even more enjoyable. The only thing I regret is not having more time to visit additional places—but that just gives me more reason to return! We had the most wonderful day with Steph! Our group was on a family girls’ trip from the U.S., ranging in age from 12 to 70, and from start to finish, the experience was unforgettable. Steph was incredibly communicative leading up to the trip and arrived right on time in his sleek black Mercedes SUV to pick us up for our adventure through the Alsace region. Throughout the day, we explored a variety of beautiful and fascinating sites—from a peaceful, lesser-known church tucked away from the usual tourist paths, to a majestic hilltop castle with stunning views, and finally to a charming, fairytale-like village that felt like something out of a storybook. In the village, we enjoyed a lovely wine tasting, followed by lunch at a cozy salon de thé and a bit of shopping. Later in the day, Steph offered us the choice between visiting another town or touring a winery to learn more about the winemaking process. We opted for the winery, and it was an excellent decision—we loved seeing behind the scenes and gaining a deeper appreciation for the region’s wine culture. Steph was kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the entire journey. His insights into the history and culture of Alsace were both engaging and educational—any history enthusiast would absolutely love touring with him. If you’re on the fence about booking this tour—do it! You won’t be disappointed.

This is a must-do tour in Alsace! Christophe was our guide and went out of his way to make this a special and fun day. We asked to focus on wine, and he took us to three very different wineries where we got to taste and explore. We also visited a castle and historic village and stopped for a few surprises along the way. Christophe was on time, informative, and fun. He ensured we moved along throughout the day to cover everything we wanted to see, but never made us feel rushed, and taught us a lot about the region. We will be back!

Stephane was fabulous! He took us to places on the original itinerary but also to places off of the beaten path. He was knowledgeable in history, culture, architecture, and the arts. We drove in a new, spotless, Mercedes, and he was an excellent driver. He also provided local pretzels, Alsatian sparkling wine and water. This tour was a highlight of our holiday in Strasbourg!

I cannot recommend Stephane and his tours enough. The service is very professional, prompt and friendly. Arranging the tour was made very easy via WhatsApp/Apple iMessage communications. Stephane’s knowledge of the region is second to none and this allowed us to create a bespoke tour for my wife’s 50th birthday with ease. The tour driver was Stefania, Stephane’s wife. She is amazing, very friendly, great humour and just a very genuine person 😀. Her knowledge and passion for the region are outstanding, giving us the history of the region and a great level of detail for each activity. We did the Chateau du Haut-Koenigsbourg a famous local castle that dates back to the 12th century and looks stunning in the local pink sandstone. We did wine tasting at Achille vineyard a 109% organic and eco friendly business, the wines and charcuterie were to die for. Stefania even arranges international shipping for you which was very helpful. We did a Stefania surprise, a Cremant de Alsace picnic by a beautiful chapel where you get to open the bottle with a sabre. We finished the day with a visit to Obernai to see the Xmas markets here which were very festive and beautiful 😀. a very magical day

Visited in December amid the Christmas Markets (3 adult women). Had a wonderful day with Christopher as our guide. The stops were tailored around our requests - Obernai, Gingerbread House, Ebermunster, Selestat, Cheminee for lunch, wine tasting and Colmar. Colmar was too busy but the rest of the stops were calm/quiet villages where we could see and enjoy the beauty of the region. So glad we decided on the splurge; it was money well spent.

This was one of the best tours I have ever been on - starting the day at the castle before the crowds arrived was perfect. The villages that you visit feel like fairy tales have come to life..
