We did the Christmas Markets day tour from Strasbourg with Dulce as our guide. Colmar and Riquewihr were absolutely beautiful—both towns are charming and well worth visiting, especially during the Christmas season. However, we didn’t feel the tour was worth the amount paid. The car ride was mostly silent, and we were hoping to receive more information about the towns, their history, or the region while traveling between stops. Aside from transportation, there wasn’t much added value compared to visiting independently. In hindsight, we could have done this trip on our own for much less money. While the destinations themselves were lovely, we wouldn’t recommend this tour based on value and overall experience.

We had a lovely day experiencing the markets of Colmar and Eguisheim. Our tour guide, Camille, was so friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful day!
Our guide was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us lots of historical information and took us to both Colmar and Riquewihr. Amazing decorations everywhere. Very magical.
Our guide Lea was very nice. She drove 8 of us in a van. She was an excellent driver. We enjoyed our trip. It was a rainy day in Colmar and we wanted to go to the Chocolate museum. Between the excessive crowds and bad weather we didn’t get to see it. We did go to another city which was a bit less crowded. It was still very crowded but we did get to enjoy the Christmas market. I’m giving the company and the driver 5 stars because of Lea. She texted us places to go to that were inside because of the rain. When someone said they needed a restroom she immediately took us to a restroom. We also had one passenger who repeatedly told her to blow her van horn at a full sized tour bus loading mostly elderly passengers in the rain. It was in a roundabout and so there was no place for any cars go until they were finished. Lea responded very calmly to the man in our bus demanding that she start blowing her horn by simply saying “I will not.” Each time he demanded she said “I will not.” It took all of 7 minutes for the bus to be completely filled with passengers and on its way. I know because Lea announced the time once we were on our way. The 7 minutes to help others was a small price to pay. She kept her composure during and after the event. The lesson I learned from her that day was far more valuable to me than the sightseeing trip.
This day trip was so fun! Had enough time to explore 2 Christmas markets/towns as it was crowded on the weekend. Lea was an amazing guide! So knowledgeable about the areas.
This was a wonderful tour to Colmar and Riquewihr. Our guide was wonderful and kept us on time. I could go back and spend a few days in Colmar but this was a great way to get an initial glimpse of the town and its Christmas magic. Highly recommend in lieu of the overcrowded buses.
You see only two villages with 1.45 hours of free time in each village. Lots of crowds at Xmas time so be prepared
Our guide was wonderful, but the plan for the tour was not. When we got to the Colmar market, we basically had to rush through the entire thing without stopping so the tour guide could provide facts. At the other end of the market we were given an hour and 45 minutes to have lunch and shop. By that time, the market was busy and crowded. There was no way we could get back to the beginning of the market to see all of the things we had to pass by that we were not allowed to stop and shop at. Not enough time at this market! We should’ve been dropped off and given a map at the beginning of the market and then allowed to shop. We could have met up with the guide at the end to hear the facts about the market.
Our guide Thierry shared many stories and history about the Alsace region. He drove us to colmar first where he took us through the town and gave us 1.5 hrs to explore. Colmar was every bit as charming and storybook like you would imagine. Then we made a pit stop on some scenic route to view the valley and wine country. Did a small pit stop at turkheim, which was a bit underwhelming. Most things were closed and few stalls in a very small area. Lastly we drove to obernai Christmas market which was a little gem and we truly loved the whole experience. Overall, it was nice to be dropped off and picked up and not have to worry about figuring out transportation and where to go.
Kaysersberg was a truly magical place! Magalie, our guide was fun and knowledgeable. The countryside we saw driving to the markets was lovely,
Very enjoyable one day trip to visit smaller Christmas markets in Alsace, outside of the main and larger Strasbourg one. You will always visit Colmar (which is really nice) but for the other one or two markets, each trip is different as some markets only open on weekends and others are all week long. The more you can walk (on cobblestone), the more you will see. But you can see plenty regardless. The tour guide Magalie (Maggie) was extremely helpful. The only downside of the day trip is not seeing the lights up at night...
The perfect experience for Christmas markets seeing the markets in the small villages around Strasbourg.
Getting a chance to see Colmar and Selestat was a great experience. It was a such a homely and quaint environment in both towns and the genuine passion for Christmas is addicting. Both towns were so idyllic and it was great seeing in person.
So we went to two markets today and I was really disappointed with Colmar, but I was blown away by Ricquweir! It was charming. It was medieval. There was so much shopping to do. It was amazing. Met a nice group of women and Our tour guide was great.
Visiting the Christmas markets in Alsace (Colmar & Riquewhir) was really spectacular. Everything went as planned. My only comment is that I expected a brief tour of the city of Colmar and Riquewhir before going to the markets.
Our guide chose the perfect markets outside of Strasbourg to visit. I han't even heard of the little town/market we ended our day, and I'm quite sure it will be my favorite Xmas market of all visited while in Europe.
We wanted to visit for the first time a Christmas market. We thought a local that could guide us was a great idea. We started in Colmar and we were given 1.5 to visit. We felt rushed since we found it to be a place we could spend time. We were taken for 3 hours to another town that turned out to be a complete waste of time and was not listed on the tour description. We would’ve been better off renting a car. This tour wasn’t worth our money or time.
It was a fantastic experience visiting two very different Christmas Market's. Our guide was excellent and provided a fantastic experience
Our tour guide was fantastic. We first stopped at Colmar Christmas market, which was so fun. The market was bustling and the stores were picturesque. We had a limited amount of time here, so it was a challenge to see everything we wanted to see. Our second stop was highly disappointing. A majority of the shops were closed and the Christmas “market” was merely a handful of stalls. We were given several hours at this location and there was nothing to really see or do. This town was not listed on the tour description as somewhere we might stop. Our tour guide was sympathetic and apologized for the disappointment. The 2 other families on the same tour expressed the same opinions on the second stop. We would have rather spent all of the time in Colmar. Too much money spent for such little return.
We were very pleased with our small group tour to Colmar and Riquewihr. We did walk a lot but the Christmas markets were charming. The tour left at 9am and returned at 4pm.
I had a great time! We went to Riquewihr and Colmar. I LOVED Riquewihr. The town was so cute and they had one merchant selling “Peter’s best” Glühwein/Vin Chaud. It was incredible! Colmar was also super cute!
My family and I enjoyed these visits to the beautiful Alsacian towns and their markets. Memories of a lifetime.
Miriam was a very pleasant tour guide. She gave us lots of great information as we traveled from place to place, and she was a safe driver. Colmar and Riquewihr were soooo crowded. And the Christmas markets in both area were just the same stuff sold everywhere. For a Christmas market tour, it would be better to go to places with more authentic Christmas markets. But, both towns were cute and we enjoyed just walking around in town and not going to the markets. We liked the fact that the tour was done during driving time and then we were just on our own in town. Others may not like that though so should pick their tour carefully if they want a tour guide with them at all times.
Had a great day visiting the Krindelmarkets in Colmar and Oberine. Funs stuff to look at, hot wine and apple cider, roasted chestnuts, and a great guide with Jerome. Would recommend taking the trip. The rain wasn’t too disruptive, and still had a great time.
Aude was an excellent guide! She is warm, knowledgeable and fun to be with. The reason for only 4 stars is independent of our guide — who was great! We were a group of 6 tourists for whom I’m thankful that the additional 2 did not make the tour, allowing for more comfortable seating for us remaining. I would have rated the tour a 2 star had all 8 of us been present.
The various christmas markets. It was great fun visiting different markets in the region and enjoying the local cuisine.
Charming and amusing! Our tour was fantastic and our guide very informative. We learned a grest deal but his style was funny and engaging Tres bien!
A great tour had by the group truly lovely places visited plenty of time to browse at leisure & the guide was very good there if needed answered questions if needed let’s you get on with it highly recommend your
Tour was very good- guide was on time and very knowledgeable. However it was very difficult to hear him if you were not setting beside in the front seat- we missed some of the history and information he was providing
A great day out, we were given an orientation of Colmar and then given 1.5 hours here to explore on our own. We also visited another small village and it’s Christmas market and were given another 1.5 hours there. Plenty of time to explore and get a bite to eat at one of the many food stalls at the markets. Jerome was a great guide.
This tour was a great opportunity to see a couple towns outside of Strasbourg during our visit. Our guide/driver met us on time and we got on our way down to Colmar. During the driver down our guide gave us a good history of Alsace. The town of Colmar lives up to all the great reviews. The Christmas markets were exceptional. The guide walked us around the town for the first 30 min to give us a brief history. We then had about 1.5 hours to ourselves. The next town we visited was Riquewihr which was smaller than Colmar but very charming with a lot to see. We had another 2 hours there before we departed back to Strasbourg. My wife and I had an great time. Well worth the expense of not having to drive or find parking ourselves. We cannot emphasis enough how awesome our guide/driver was. He explained everything we were doing throughout the day and made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend!
Although it was a dreary day, our tour guide made the most of our time together. On the way to Colmar, she talked about the landscape of the Alsace region, and pointed out various things like the mountains, valleys, homes and wineries. Our guide was very interactive. Our first stop to Colmar, she guided us as to where we needed to go to see all of the Christmas markets and made some wonderful recommendations which we did. We had a wonderful time in Colmar. Then we stopped in Ribeauville, which was very different and Medieval. It was a bit overcrowded as expected for a Saturday. We enjoyed walking through the varying Christmas stalls, and eventually stopped at a cafe and had a quick snack and sipped the Alsace wine, which our guide recommended. She was very helpful and personable. It was just me and my daughter and another couple.
This was so much fun. Our tour guide gave us a wonderful history of the areas during the periods of driving while allowing us to be independent in the Christmas markets. It was the perfect balance.
This was a great tour and our guide really knew his way around to avoid traffic. Fun time and good information
Even tho the day was rainy and windy, Florence took us to see some beautiful sights in Alsace. The countryside is enchanting, and the Christmas Markets magical. Would definitely recommend.
I really enjoyed this trip! Laurent was our guide and he was fantastic! He would tell us interesting info on the way, other places near Strasbourg to visit, etc. And then at each town he would tell us some of his favorite spots to visit. There was plenty of time to explore/shop/eat in both towns, despite the traffic, and we got back to Strasbourg with plenty of time before dinner! And both towns were quite beautiful. Would definitely recommend this tour!!
... in the surroundings of the beautiful cathedral, with the smell of cooked wines and beautiful handicrafts, in the company of friends, give all people peace and happiness in 2019!

All this was was a taxi ride to the 2 markets. Guide basically dropped you at the markets and said i will pick you up in an hour.
No help to what was good or bad

Great guide who gave interesting facts and anecdotes all along the drive. Only concern was that I understood we were going to be taken to a vineyard wine tasting, and we were just left to our own resources. Great tour overall.

Awesome tour, with friendly and knowledgeable guide! Would definitely take again!

Lovely tour of Colmar and Riquewihr, both postcard pretty towns with charming Christmas markets and picturesque buildings decorated with colorful Christmas motifs. We had plenty of time to have a hot chocolate and view the markets in Colmar then had a nice wine tasting session with Sebastian. Tasted four wines and loved them all Sebastian was very accommodating and eager to share his family's wine making history petting his dogs was a bonus! Riquewihr is a very pretty little village and we had some good soup and tarte flambé for lunch at one of the many restaurants lining the Main Street. Florence our guide, was very helpful, friendly and quite knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed her commentaries. She also helped us with other travel concerns like booking a taxi and giving advice on other itineraries. All in all, great value for money especially because my husband and I were the only ones on the tour! Merci beaucoup Florence!

Beautiful excursion, fairytale villages, the guide (Sweet), very nice and professional. We ate at a typical stall.
Absolutely wonderful, a fabulous experience, visiting villages that seem to have come out of a story. It is worth doing this route without question.
Tur rehberimiz yerel Strasbourgluydu. Çok eğlenceli dinamik ve hareketli bir tur oldu Colmar ve Obernai gerçekten görülmeye değer harika kasabalar , masalsı. Christmas pazarları harika . Kesinlikle öneririz.
The transportation was very comfortable and the guide very attentive. We had plenty of free time to visit the cities. It's a very beautiful region. Colmar is really surprising.
Whether you are a fan of Christmas or not, the charm of this area in the ideal pregnant time is indisputable. Strasbourg is an ideal starting point as the city alone is worth it.
Great town - everything super nicely decorated, you have to see, have if you are interested in Christmas markets.

El tour fue muy bueno y Flo, la guía, divina y muy amable. Además la cata de vinos es excelente... para disfrutar y quedarse con ganas de más!
