I’m not one to rate everything above average. My English tour was average or a little below. Strangely, the guide delighted in asking us to determine the meaning of Swedish street names over and over. I got tired of that guessing game. And she seemed obsessed with the metal brackets that hold old buildings together. Guide had good grasp of history, kings, queens and dates, although we got behind schedule and had little time at the end for the most important sites near the palace. Price was fine.

This tour is a must. Our guide, Sorel, was so informative and very pleasant to be with. I fully recommend this tour to get the history of the area/Stockholm, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Sorel as your guide.
The weather was absolutely terrible that day, and the rest of the tour was cancelled. However, our guide still showed up, and she was amazing! I can’t remember her name, unfortunately, but her dedication deserves a special mention. It was so stormy that umbrellas were flying away, turning inside out, tearing, and breaking, yet she carried on with the tour as if nothing had happened. I eventually had to cut the tour short because of the weather, but she did her very best to make the experience worthwhile despite the challenging conditions. Gamla Stan is lovely, with its narrow, winding alleys and fascinating Viking history. Despite the weather, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, thanks largely to the wonderful guide. Highly recommended!
I did 2 hour free walking tour with Caroline and she was very good at what she was doing. Booking process was quite easy, receivd all the information. The guide was very informative and fun. Enjoyed the tour and recommend it.
The tour was a very interesting introduction not just to Gamla Stan but also to Stockholm and Swedish history. Our guide Julia was knowledgeable, personable and professional. Highly recommend.
Well worth it, informative, enjoyable, plenty of time to soak it in and take photos, pace was good, recommend
Jamine was our tour guide and she was very interesting and informative. We would highly recommend this tour.
I really enjoyed the tour with Kate on Saturday — she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the history of Stockholm really interesting. A great experience and a lovely way to discover the city!
Our tour of Gamla Stan with Janina was excellent! She was extremely knowledgeable and engaging with our group. Covered the old town and hit all the highlights. So many hidden gems in the area and some great recommendations for Stockholm dining and tours. Thanks Janina!!!
We were very fortunate to book on the day and end up with what was really a private tour as there were only two of us. Alexandra was friendly and knowledgeable and lots of fun. She took us through the cobblestone streets of the old town centre providing glimpses into Swedish history through stories from the past. It was like having a friend show us around and she even took us to the train station afterwards and made sure we knew where we were going. Highly recommended!
The tour was fun, well paced, and our guide was great. We got to see some of the wonderful buildings and hear about the history of Gamla Stan. As a plus, it was a good way to get oriented with that neighborhood and helped the rest of my trip.
Kenzie was a fabulous guide and had a great way of telling stories and providing information. I would recommend this tour!
Our guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable, informative and funny. You could tell that he enjoyed his time with us.
The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and very personable as well. We both enjoyed walking through this beautiful city with him.
Well worth the money! A last minute decision and a great start to Stockholm. Highly recommend. Ben was terrific.
I did a walking tour with Ben as the guide. I did a few more walking tours in other cities since then and Ben is by far the best guide. He doesn’t just tell you the history, he paints the picture and draws you into how life was like in visual and sensory detail. It felt more like a theatrical performance. If we were in the olden days, he would’ve been one of those expert storytellers. It felt like gathering around a campfire to hear the lores and tales of Stockholm from Ben and being transported into history. I wish I had tipped much more.
Nice knowledgeable history guide.
Isabella was a great tour guide, we knew very little about Swedish/Stockholm history and learned a lot!
Very informative about Swedish history. 2k walk. Could have steep climb on cobblestone street. Very colorful buildings and panoramic views.
Ben was a rockstar! He was very knowledgeable, and his storytelling brought history to life. The whole experience was excellent!
Excellent 2-hr walking tour of old town Stockholm. Stephan, our guide, is knowledgeable and very helpful.
This tour was extremely informative and moved at a good pace. Our guide, Janina, was amazing. Highly recommended!
Our beautiful guide gave in depth of stockholm history, culture and city. Also suggestions for food, cafes and attractions. Overall so happy with the tour. Price extremely good and worthy.
Tour guide was not able to answer many questions from the group. Missed some very important and interesting information for tourists. For example, standing in front of Nobel museum the guide did not mention the museum neither Nobel and his influence on the city.
Our guide was amazing and very fun and informative.
Isabella was very good. Spoke clearly and was engaging. Tour was super interesting and would definitely recommend. Everyone paid her 15 euros per person. She had a machine so was able to take electronic payment.
Our guide, Isabella, was simply exceptional. She was very knowledgeable and was easy to understand. Learned alot about Swedish history as well as about the architecture etc on Gamla Stan in Stockholm. I would highly recommend this tour and Isabella.
Our guide, Michal, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. No doubt he shares much of the same information with group after group, but you would never know it from his delivery. His genuine passion for history shone through in the many anecdotes and stories he shared, making the experience both engaging and memorable. The pace of the two-hour tour was comfortable and well suited to the group. Good walking shoes are recommended, as there are many cobblestoned streets in the Old Town.
I enjoyed Michal's (not sure if the name is spelled right) guidance and info, comprehensuve yet his character came through in jokes and personal preferences. He had quite a quick way of talking but still very easy to follow. Thank you!!
Josephine the tour guide was amazing, informative and entertaining. Very happy.
Great tour of Old Town. Guide was awesome. She gave great insight to many buildings and landmarks. Great for getting an overview or going deepe into local history. I highly ecommend this tour.
Excellent! Great historical content. Would definitely recommend this tour. Guide was excellent. Don’t miss it.!
Our tour guide, although Finnish, was very knowledgeable about Stockholm's Gamla Stan. She led our group smoothly and enthusiastically through this area of the city.
This is an excellent walking tour. The meeting point is just outside the Gamla Stan Subway station. We visited many interesting places including: -The German Church -Mårten Trotzig Street The narrowest street in Stockholm -Merchant’s Square -Iron Boy -15cm high, the smallest public statue in Stockholm. -The Royal Palace -The Great Church -The Great Square -The Nobel Museum -The Priest’s Street Home to the “Rune Stone” -The House of Nobility -Riddarholm Church -Birger Jarls Square The square was renamed after the traditional founder of Stockholm. Its a great way for "newbies" like us to get orientated to the city.
This free tour offered by Nordic Tours was incredible. Our guide took us all over Gamla Stan and shared her knowledge of the history of the area. A great way to kick off 3 days in Stockholm
Great your guide. Good explanation of each stop. One of our highlights in Stockholm.
The tour included many of the highlights of Gamla Stan (Old Town). Our guide, Janina, shared many details of the town’s history and leaders and included many fun tales and facts along the walk. We would recommend it, especially when you only have a short time in the city.
Our experience was wonderful. I learned so much about Gamla Stamm. And it was fun!
Larger than normal group, the guide provided an opportunity to take a later tour, but we stayed (the company couldn’t find a second guide). She projected her voice very well. Very informative.
I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour! I would never had learned so much information and seen so many sights on my own. It was a large but good group. Pace was good. Our tour guide, Sharrat, was wonderful and she shared a lot of information in a fun way! Thank you Sharrat and I highly recommend this walking tour.
Stefan was great! Really enjoyed it, totally recommend.
The tour was fine. The guide was really nice, but tbh I was getting kind of bored. I feel like you could do this walking tour yourself. Also the guide didn’t use a mic so it was hard to hear her when cars were passing by. Not a terrible tour, just not great
Excellent walking tour of Old Stockholm with Joseph and Josephine - very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Sweden , loved it ❤️
Our tour guide was amazing and very excited to explain and make us feel comfortable walking for 2 hours. My 13 years old daughter enjoyed every moment, it wasn’t boring at all. We learned a lot in those 2 hours! Highly recommended!!!
A very informative fun city tour with an excellent host Alexandra. A really enjoyable insight into Swedish life and the history of Stockholm. Just the right measure of history and fun facts which kept our attention. Thank you it was a great experience. Karen and Mark
The tour was very well organized. The guide encouraged questions. We saw all the major sites in Gamla stan so there was a lot of walking. I encourage you to take the tour.
It was awesome! We had a guide that was very knowledgeable and she was theatrical which made her presentation terrific!
The Tour guy decided not to schedule any agents to come to this tour. I was waiting along with another couple the Tour couple never showed up. I texted them. They never responded in time. The other couple called them. They did not answer. I then chatted with viator who was insulting and said did we show up to the right place. I said well if I’m here another couple is here and the produce vendor said it’s the right place. We are in the right place. Viator was able to reach the tour guide to here. No we didn’t schedule anybody. How pathetic is that they advertise they will do something they don’t you’re on your vacation and you have a set schedule and then they just seem to think oh you can just show up tomorrow. Never go with this company and honestly in the future, I will never be using viator as they hire subcontractors who had this attitude
Janina stuck with us through the rain, and gave us a great tour despite the weather.
We had a great time on the Viator tour walking old town Stockholm. We covered a lot of ground and our tour guide was fantastic. Enjoyed the knowledge of our tour guide.
