My sister, bro in law and one of my nephew were visting us from Singapore ( via Berlin where they were before landing in sweden). They suggested doing an activity which landed us with this! My 2 young children and I were somewhat " ohh noooo" and had butterflies in our tummy. Eventually we went for it together with them and had a blast! Theresa was very professional and very pleasant and nice. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and may even visit again! Thank You // Serene n family

Just beautiful. The scenery, the knowledge and delight of our guide, the lovely picnic and the sauna and plunge at the end just made for an awesome experience 😊
This was so adventurous but really unique and fun. It was freezing but the guide was so knowledgeable and it was a cool experience. Definitely recommend.
This was an amazing experience on all fronts. Once we knew we were going to be in Stockholm, we went on line to find an "outdoor" experience and this delivered 5+ stars. Communication from the office and operator was great. It turned out that we were the only couple that booked that day (a tuesday) and ended up with a private tour. The drive from Stockholm to the center was fine (about 35 minutes). The gear was first rate. We had worn the suggested warm clothing (it was April) and the dry suit and boots did the job. Raquel was a great guide. Not only did we go paddle around several islands, but we really got a feel for people living on and around the islands. A Fika stop for coffee and cookies was perfect. We ended up paddling for about 3 hours and then came back for a traditional Swedish sauna with several plunges in the cold water. A perfect way to end. Raauel then drove us to Vaxholm and recommended a great coffee and pastry stop before we took the ferry back to Stockholm (about 75 minutes). This was another great way to see the countryside. Cannot recommend the trip enough!
We had such a fun afternoon kayaking in the sunshine around the archipelago. Our guide, Asker (hope I spelled it correctly) was very welcoming and a wonderful host. All equipment required was included, spare layers, hats, gloves, drysuits etc and everything was very clean and in great condition. The kayaking was tailored to our experience (intermediate) and we even managed to have fika in the fort, which was wonderful. Overall, an excellent experience which we would thoroughly recommend
We had the most amazing morning! Raquel was our guide and she was so experienced, knowledge and fun. The kit and kayaks were all high end. We didn't get cold. Safety was priority. We got to see so much and take in incredible views and different sized islands. The Fika was so good. We did an ice dip and sauna after. We caught the train and bus from Stockholm. It was so easy, convenient and cheap. This is a must to do!!!
We did a winter kayaking adventure as a surprise for my husband’s birthday, and although it sounded a bit crazy when I first saw it, the experience was absolutely amazing! The staff prepared us so well that it felt extremely pleasant and comfortable, even in winter conditions. Everyone we met there was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made us instantly want to come back and try more of the activities they offer. Highly recommended! ❄️🚣♀️
We had a fantastic time on our tour. The water was pretty icy, but they were able to make a path for us through the ice so we could still go out and have a fun and unique experience. Our guide, Sam, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable through it all. Fika and the sauna were lovely ways to close out the day. We loved our experience!!
A very pleasant experience for itself, but made amazing by the great energy put in by all the staff who are super welcoming, supportive and competent.
Fantastic experience, friendy knowledgable leaders, good fika. We kayaked though ice seas, saw a seal, deers, white tailed eagle. We had a saunce then dipped into the ichy Balti c, The fika was one of the best we have had in Stockholm trips… Recommend it.....
Great adventure, stunning scenery and enthusiastic guide. I was impressed with the quality of all aspects of the ice kayaking tour today. Our guide was Jules and he catered to both the English speaking and French speaking customers. Despite the freezing icey waters we all managed to stay warm and were rewarded with steaming hot tea and fikka when we returned from our 6km round trip to Vaxholm fortress. Would highly recommend this tour to other able bodied and brave souls 😊😊
Sam was calm and collected throughout the entire tour—you feel like you’re in a zen meditation from start to finish. The sea was stunning under the snow, and we slept incredibly well afterward. We loved the sauna, and there’s even a cold plunge if you’re feeling brave. The 670 bus drops you off right at the location.
We absolutely loved the whole experience. Rowan and Jules were amazing guides, they were very knowledgeable and made you feel at ease but were also really relaxed and kept it fun. They even brought out a cake and candles for my boyfriend’s birthday when having the fika which was so lovely and absolutely made his day! It all ran really smoothly, the kayaking was an amazing experience but it’s also so worth doing the sauna too to be able to have a swim and warm up. Getting there by public transport was also super easy! Would definitely recommend!
This crew was fantastic and the experience was the best. They transported us to/from the pickup, fed us a delicious fika snack (after the ice kayaking), provided access to a much-needed sauna, and provided an in-depth history of the archipelago around Sweden. Our guide was fun to be around and created a low-stress environment where everyone had fun (no matter their kayaking proficiency). The cold-weather gear they provided was more than enough to keep us warm (we're from Texas, so not used to the cold!). Definitely recommend this company!
Everything was awesome, the area is beautiful and the employees are super friendly. Don't miss out on the sauna
The tour itself was amazing, with beautiful scenery throughout and a very relaxing sauna at the end, which really completed the experience. Everything was well organized, and the team was attentive to our needs from start to finish, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Overall, it was a great experience that I would highly recommend. A special mention to Rowan as well, who was really cool
My husband and I had an incredibly fun morning kayaking, followed by delicious fika and a hot sauna. Jules was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. We were both first timers, but felt very well looked after and quickly got the hang of kayaking. Would 100% recommend and love to return some day.
I have no words to express what an amazing experience we had. Rohan was a fantastic & patient tour guide. The tour was well worth it and the FIKA was great too. We had a wonderful day and highly recommend it. The whole experience was worth it and our friendly and pleasant tour driver was excellent too. We would do this all over again.
There was a mixup and we double booked our reservation. A call to the company quickly resolved the issue. The company takes safety seriously and we felt completely safe and warm on the journey. Sam is an excellent guide and planned a path that met the small group’s needs. Definitely sign up for the sauna and Baltic plunge
Loved the experiment ! Jules was so kind with us, and he really tried to make the day incredible ! I was afraid to be cold on the kayak but all the equipment is supplied. If you choose to take the sauna experience, you can swim into the baltic sea just before you go.... you will be cold, I can tell you, but what a sensation !! Thanks for everything!
This could not have been any more of a perfect day. Our guide, Sam, was so knowledgeable and calming that our group would have kayaked to the arctic following him. The entire experience was safe, fun and breathtaking. Do not miss plunging yourself into the Baltic Sea once the kayaking is over and really enjoy the sauna!
Great experience, our driver and kayak guide were helpful and timely, got us to and from all our destinations safely, answered our questions well, and were generally great people to be around. The kayaking was beautiful and went through some very pretty channels, and the sauna + jump into the Baltic experience at the end was unforgettable. I would note that the snacks might not be enough if you get hungry, so best to eat a big breakfast.
I had such a great time with our guide, Sam, who was personable and clearly enjoys what he does. There's extra warm gear there, but I suggest you bring a hat and a towel for the sauna. Be brave - jumping into the cold Baltic feels amazing after being in the sauna! There is a bus stop right in front of the place, and I had a lot of fun taking the ferry back to Stockholm.
Had a great winter kayaking experience - the gear provided kept us warm and dry, even with the freezing temperatures. Max was an informative and engaging guide. Was pleasantly surprised at the amount of options available at the fika, which was a wonderful way to fuel up mid tour. Only downside is that even though it's stated as a 3hr tour, the actual time spent on the water is quite short given the amount of time it takes to gear everyone up. Because of this, would say that this experience is more suited to a beginner/first time kayaker.
Awesome experience and first time kayaking in a dry suit. From the equipment to kayaking in general for the beginners, everything was explained very well with safety in mind. It was great to get out of Stockholm, on the water, warm up in the sauna, and enjoy the Fika!
Carl was a fabulous tour guide. He helped us get around in our kayaks as well as teach us some nice Swedish history. Definitely would recommend him
We had such a memorable experience on this kayak tour earlier this month. Our small group had a mix of experience levels, but Karl, our guide, made everyone feel comfortable and confident from the start. His knowledge of the region was incredible, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. We especially loved the Fika break; it was such a cozy touch. Since it was getting chilly, we wore dry suits, which made it possible to hop into the sea after kayaking. What a wild experience! Finishing the day with the sauna and a plunge into the Baltic Sea was the perfect, refreshing ending. Highly recommend this tour. It was truly unforgettable.
Sea kayaking plus Fika plus sauna. It was a lot of fun and very well run. We didn’t realize that it is quite far from Stockholm city, but that was fine.
Wonderful kayaking experience with our whole team! The two guides were very attentive, patient, and did an excellent job leading us throughout the trip. A perfect moment on a small island with coffee, tea, and homemade cakes prepared by the guides. When we got back, a delicious barbecue was waiting for us! One of the best parts of our stay — thank you so much!
This was the most AMAZING experience. It was wonderful from start to end. I joined a group of 4 others to do kayaking and fika. It was easy to book online and the customer service team were excellent, answering a few questions I had very promptly. It was easy to get to on public transport - I did the bus there and the ferry back which I highly recommend as it's beautiful. Our guide Sam was super friendly, very clear with instructions, and cared for us all along the way. Five stars for Sam. We did a stunning kayak around a few different islands at a comfortable pace for the group. We stopped and got at on one of the islands for some delicious fika (tea/coffee and treats) and a short stroll. I opted for the sauna experience also which I highly recommend. You're right on the water so can gaze out at the view from the benches as you heat up and then run and jump (or gently lower yourself) in to the baltic sea to refresh. This was 100% worth the cost - a truly memorable experience.
We did their 3 day guided trip with Sam - it was an incredible experience 10/10, legitimately nothing I would have done differently. The entire trip was incredibly well organized, food was delicious, and views were breathtaking. Sam is a fantastic guide - very kind, thoughtful, and great at asking questions to make sure we had the best time. Thank you so much for a perfect trip!
We had an amazing time kayaking at the Baltic Sea! We went for the 'Archipelago Kayaking & Island Lunch', which lasted about 6,5 hours in total. We also booked the sauna afterwards. Our guide Sam from Skärgården's Kanotcenter was wonderful, very nice and knowledgeable, and he made sure that we all felt and knew how to stay safe. The archipelago was beautiful to behold from the water and we were even lucky enough to spot a pair of white-tailed eagles from up close! The kayaks were very stable and easy to manoeuvre and the provided gear kept us all relatively dry, which was a very nice bonus. During the kayaking, Sam took pictures for us, so we didn't have to bother with taking our phones out and potentially getting them wet or even dropping them in the water, and a couple of days later they were sent to us by e-mail. We had a tasty and pleasant lunch/fika combination on one of the many islands. After the tour, they had the sauna up and running for us, which was really lovely as well, including cooling off by a dip in the sea. The whole experience was wonderful, definitely a highlight of our holiday!
We had a fantastic day. Booking was straightforward. It was an easy trip on public transport from Stockholm to the centre. The equipment was excellent and it was very well organised. The two guides were knowledgeable and friendly. They quickly assessed the confidence of the group and made sure we had a day to remember. I was visiting with my 24 year old son and we both thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking, the views, the fellow kayakers and of course the fika. It was the highlight of our trip to Stockholm.
Took part in the Vaxholm Kayak & Fika tour and really enjoyed it. The centre is easy to find, right next to the bus stop. The guide Sam was very knowledgeable and led a good tour that suited everyone's pace. The areas is really relaxing and scenic and a lovely place to paddle. The team at the centre were really friendly and welcoming. All equipment was good quality. Overall a very fun day.
Max was such a fantastic guide. It was a perfect day. The fika stop was just lovely. We really enjoyed the sauna and dip afterward.
Teresa was our guide; very knowledgeable, calm and patient. Made sure everyone was welcomed and comfortable before hitting the water. Lovely paddle around the islands and the Fika spot was fantastic. Tasty sweet treats and hot drink overlooking the water. Sauna experience also good to get warm and toasty afterwards. Metro/bus instructions to get there were clear and easy to follow. Well worth it.
Excellent trip. Very well organised Professional equipment, very good and friendly guides! Very nice views A must do👍👍
Theresa was a great guide, the tour was the perfect time out on the water and it was a great experience start to finish. I would definitely recommend for groups or solo travelers.
Max the guide was wonderful. Very patient, gave great instructions and made sure everyone had a great time on the water! This is a 5 out of 5 for an activity outside the city. You get to see a TON of nature.
Amazing day kayaking with Rowan! Although it was sometimes challenging, it was so worth it! Once in a lifetime experience. The staff were so helpful and friendly. One of the highlights of our trip!
It’s absolutely wonderful. The guide was so lovely and had an incredible memory for names. You don’t need to know how to kayak to go on this trip. They walk you through everything and give you all the proper gear. I was plenty warm and stayed completely dry thanks to the dry suit they provide. We had a nice break just off a dock with delicious snacks, coffee and tea. I fully recommend doing the sauna and jumping in to the water a few times. It feels amazing and is the perfect end to the already fantastic day.
Great time out on the water with a leisurely paddle around the area. The water was iced over in places so it was fun to "ice break" through with your kayak. You get fully suited up in dry gear which was comfortable and 100% dry. A little fika break was nice. Then once you put away your kayak, you can get naked with your group for the cold plunge and sauna. Not as scary as it sounds. The cold part. Europeans love getting naked so that was just fun. Make a friend or two, go for it!
such a fabulous experience!! Rowan and team were super friendly and helpful especially as there were a couple of first timers.. fika and a float in the water was another great touch
Great experience! It was my first time kayaking and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tour guides were lovely and super helpful. Would recommend!
Experience was everything I hoped for, and our guide was great! If you are scared to go solo, or afraid because it is your first time kayaking, definitely go.
The kayaking is about 30 minutes outside of downtown Stockholm, so it's a good half day commitment. Getting suited up for winter kayaking was an adventure in itself. The scenery was pretty and our guide, Rowan, was both patient and fun.
So it was good, and i dud enjoy myself ovetall, but they need to put a disability disclaimer on. I suffered, 3 hours rowing, is something that needs to be clear. I've arthritis and fibromyalgia, and if I knew it would be that long. I would have never gone. But I was going by get your guide summary, which didn't not specify its 3 hours rowing. I strongly recommend anybody who's got a chronic illness, abortion mission. For the record, im quite fit and lift weights, so be very careful guys, it's not for the feeble. Otherwise, the staff were absolutely fantastic, so friendly and went out of their way supporting us. So nothing against them, but whoever deals with marketing, needs to really make this clear, to 3rd party resellers. As we purchased on get your guide, and it was not clear there.
Friendly and professional staff, delicious fika, nice sauna at the end to warm up. It was an excellent experience throughout. My first time kayaking and will definitely be doing it again.
Our guide (sorry, forgot her name) was excellent; passionate, energetic, helpful, considerate of the needs of the group, and knowledgeable. We never felt unsafe and truly enjoyed the entire experience. Every single staff member was helpful, polite and positive. My partner has problems with cold fingers and one of the staff jumped in to provide her hand warmers which made the difference in the whole experience for her.
Great Tour in a very nice scenery. Equipment and guides are top. Easy to reach by train/bus! Also manageable for beginners.
