Itinerary
After meeting at our office, we’ll set out on a scenic hike through Nacka Nature Reserve, just outside Stockholm. The hike is divided into two parts: a 2-hour hike, followed by a break in a secluded spot for a campfire-cooked lunch(or gas stoves during fire restrictions). After the break, we continue with another 2-hour hike, exploring forests, lakes, and granite cliffs. In summer, you can take a refreshing swim in the lakes, while in winter, you might walk across frozen waters. After approximately 10–12 km of hiking, we’ll take a short 15-minute public bus ride back to Slussen Subway Station, where you can easily continue your day in Stockholm.

Caoimhe was awesome! Fun and informative. Would definitely book again. About 3km total.
A really beautiful trip. The scenery is lovely, and above all, the guide is excellent. The lunch by the campfire is a very pleasant addition that makes the experience even more special. We enjoyed it immensely and would highly recommend it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Had an amazing hike in Nacka nature reserve. Our guide Zack was funny, energetic and knowledgeable and really made the experience one to remember. The hike was topped off with us seeing a moose at the very end. Thank you for making our trip to Sweden so good!
We had an amazing experience with Stockholm Nature! The hike in Tyresta National Park was one of the highlights of our trip to Sweden. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about nature, making the whole experience both enjoyable and informative. The organization was excellent, and the beautiful forests, peaceful lakes, and breathtaking scenery made this tour truly unforgettable. It was the perfect way to experience Sweden's incredible natural landscapes away from the city. We highly recommend Stockholm Nature to anyone visiting Stockholm who wants an authentic outdoor adventure. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful experience!❤️❤️❤️
This was an absolutely lovely tour — the forest where you go hiking is gorgeous, the food by the campfire is great, and our guy in Zach was fantastic. Highly recommend as a nature escape in the middle of a city trip!
Fantastic experience, especially as traveling solo as a woman & wouldn’t have felt comfortable doing such an extensive hike by myself otherwise. Highly recommend. Great guide, great trails, and great lunch to boot!
Stunning scenery, a calm and relaxing atmosphere, and great company throughout. Our guide, Henka, was incredibly friendly and shared a wealth of knowledge.
Had a wonderful time out in the calming nature and learning lots about the forest & Sweden from our great and friendly host Bobby. A good hike/walk and lunch by a lake was fantastic experience.
Max was a great guide very organised and knowledgeable about the area. Impressive lunch by lake. Thank you
It has been great walking through the woods, having explained different things in nature and having fika and lunch at the fire place! Max has been a great guide!
I arrived at the office to find the other 2 people booked on the hike had cancelled but was so lucky to still be taken on the hike by Max. Really appreciate this as other tours may have then cancelled on me last minute! Max was a brilliant host, knew the forest like the back of his hand and shared so much information about the forest and Stockholm & Sweden generally. It was great to be out in nature and was very well looked after. The stops for Fika & a campfire lunch were a brilliant touch. Just want to really express how fab Max was and he really deserves lots of praise for taking the time to make sure I had a great time. Went above & beyond!
I recently took a five-hour walking tour through one of Stockholm’s beautiful forests, and it was an unforgettable experience. The moment I entered the trail, I felt surrounded by peaceful silence, broken only by birdsong and the rustling of leaves. The fresh pine scent, clear lakes, and soft forest floor made every step calming and refreshing. I explored winding paths, rocky viewpoints, and quiet spots that felt untouched. The guide shared interesting stories about Swedish nature and wildlife, which made the walk even more meaningful. It was the perfect escape from the city and a wonderful reminder of how stunning Stockholm’s nature is.
Great experience I would definitely recommend this experience as a valuable one to add to your overall travel journey. The tour guide Max was excellent!
We had a great hike and the rain after lunch didn't dampen our spirits at all. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, with a good sense of humour. She showed genuine interest in all the people in the party, and was keen to answer our questions. The hike itself was not too challenging, and the views were worth the scramble up the hillside. The nature reserve is truly beautiful - and the lakeside stop-off was incredibly peaceful.
This hike was amazing. It was so much more than I expected. Our guide was so knowledgeable, personable , and very experienced. We would do this again when we return to Stockholm.
This hike was an amazing experience. We were able to go off trail quite a bit and see some amazing views and nature of this country. The campfire lunch was a great treat, and the food was delicious. Our guide was very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He made the experience comfortable and yet exciting. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to spend some time in nature.
Our guide (Sofia) was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and helped us have a wonderful experience. She was very personable and made everyone feel comfortable. The hike was beautiful and it’s an experience I’ll never forget.
This hike is absolutely beautiful. Our guide, Yasmine, knows the area very well and was able to answer all of my questions about the nature reserve and about Sweden in general. The views are stunning. We are active people and the hike was not difficult for us. The fika and campfire lunch were tasty. We saw lots of pretty plants and lots of signs of various animals. We even saw a deer who seemed to not be scared at all.
We went on this tour a few weeks ago with Jasmin, on an absolutely beautiful day. We can honestly say that the whole tour was fantastic, from start to finish. The hike covered such a big area without being too challenging, and we were rewarded with spectacular views. Jasmin was so lovely, and provided us with so much information- we learnt so much that day. We also had a lovely campfire lunch of veggie meatballs that we really enjoyed. Would highly recommend this tour if you fancied getting out of the city for a few hours to enjoy the beautiful nature of the country.
Walked about 10miles but you can go at your own pace. Few ups and downs along the way, great view points of the lakes and forest. Veggie balls for lunch, great when lakes are frozen as you can see ice fishing, ice skaters and walk on the ice yourself
We experienced this tour as a small group of 4, we felt very lucky having managed to spot deer, squirrels and woodpeckers along the way, the nature reserve was beautiful and ever changing!!! We got lucky enough to walk on the iced lakes and watch the ice fisherman. Lunch was really lovely (Meatballs cooked over a fire). Our tour guide Yasmin was very knowledgeable of the area and made the entire experience a lot of fun.
My fiancé and I had an amazing experience. Jacob, our tour guide from the UK, was nothing short of spectacular. He was informative, knowledgeable, and charismatic. As a fellow PhD candidate myself, I was intrigued in his studies where he shared in great detail his experiences and endeavors. We were also hoping to spot some Swedish wildlife but all we saw was a black bird so if wildlife is what you’re hoping to see, let me be the first to tell you that it isn’t going to happen. Yet, you will encounter some strikingly beautiful vistas with great photo opportunities. Book the excursion; you won’t be disappointed.
Despite the rainy weather, Francisco made the whole experience seamless. It’s a beautiful place, the company was good, and the technical assistance capable and friendly. We had food, shelter when necessary, and no doubt as to the outcome - tired but happy, just the way it’s supposed to be.
Jacob was a great guide- interesting and informative. We were a group of 4-lovely company, good weather and tasty campfire lunch. Highly recommend this.
VERY nice experience in Nakka with Jacob our guide. He selected interesting trails, we saw beautiful scenery, had a swim and a campfire lunch, and great conversation. We found it interesting and enlightening to talk with Jacob, who is embarking on a PhD in animal behavior and has spent time in Gabon studying gorillas and will soon be studying wolf behavior in the wild.
Excellent tour that gives you an overview of the Nacka Natural Reserve. Leo, our tour guide, gave a comprehensive yet relaxed hike itinerary for the group. Beautiful scenery everywhere. Delicious Swedish lunch. Excellent introduction to the Swedish favorite past time of nature hikes.
The reserve was beautiful and very convenient location for metro and bus return. We enjoyed every minute. The lake and swimming in it was amazing. Thank you Francisco!
The tour was great, we had so much fun with Jakob, the lunch was perfect and we really enjoyed everything very much! Highly recommended, I think we walked around 8.5KM and it was easy to medium.
What a perfect way to dive right into the local nature without having to travel more than 30 minutes! Our tour was led by Bobby, one of the company founders, and he expertly guided us through trails and off trails in the Nature reserve while sharing great info on our surroundings and Sweden in general. Our group included my boyfriend and I and two solo travelers, and Bobby made sure to tailor the hike to our experience level and interests. I would strongly recommend this to anyone staying in Stockholm looking to embrace the Swedish love of nature!
Hiking by the lake was great. The lunch and campfire were really good. The place where went was very close so we didn’t have to spend a lot of time on the bus.
Hannes was a great tour guide! Thank you for the amazing hike, I learned a lot and the food was great. For future hikers, I leave the skull on the branch as my legacy to you! 😂
I was a little nervous to be a solo female traveler going on this trip, but Leo was totally awesome and made me (and the other solo female traveler who joined us) feel completely comfortable. One of my favorite parts of the hike was visiting a flowing spring to fill up our water bottles with delicious fresh water and hearing Leo's explanations about Sweden's geology/nature. If you're going in the summer time, bring bug spray!
We had limited time and wanted to see something more than the city sites. This was a great opportunity to get outside and into a lovely park with Francisco as a guide. The hiking was easy but we were glad of athletic shoes rather than street shoes. A hot lunch of Swedish vegetarian meatballs was a nice plus.
100% recommend Stockholm Nature AB. Hannes was our hiking guide at Nacka Nature Reserve. Amazing experience with beautiful scenery! Hannes was very personable, fun, and knowledgeable. He provided our family interesting facts about wildlife and Swedish culture and delicious campfire meal! It was our pleasure to experience breathtaking views and conversation with Hannes and Stockholm Nature AB.
We are a school group - 11 x 10 year olds and 3 adults from England, and we visited at the end of April, as we had won a trip to learn about sustainability. Bobby and Jannes were our guides and were incredibly informative about Sweden, the forests and ask linking it to sustainability which was an added bonus. The nature hike was exactly how it was described and was incredible to experience in the person. The food was also delicious and very Swedish, so we felt we had the full Swedish experience. Thank you again for a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!
Leo and Francisco were excellent hike leaders. Attentive, knowledgeable and fun. The hike was just a short bus ride away from Stockholm, which was a nice and easy way to see some of Sweden's nature while staying in the capital. Tasty frika and lunch of Swedish meatballs made on a fire out in the nature. All in all, great experience. Thanks guys!
Really nice hike through unmarked parts of the Swedish forest. Great food, great views, great time learning.
We had an incredible winter hiking experience with Bobby. Being novices to winter hiking, we were a bit apprehensive, but the guidance was excellent, and the weather was ideal. I highly recommend embracing the hiking adventure—it's a perfect way to start your journey in Stockholm.
Very nice walk in the snow with fantastic views. Leader was excellent and explained everything in detail.
Joined this tour with Bobby and wasn’t disappointed. We haven’t hiked in the snow before but that didn’t matter. Bobby was an excellent guide and explained the history and significance of the area. A beautiful hike with awesome scenery. Such a quiet and peaceful hike. Even got to walk on a frozen lake. Highly recommend.
It was a amazing experience. We liked the challenge. The lunch made in nature, and the small talk on the way. One of the lucky moments in life.
Our today‘s tour guide Bobby made an awesome job to generate a wonderful hiking experience with a lot of different types of hikes in Nackareservatet showing all the various types of nature this reservat has, provided a nice fika at a wonderful lake and made a fire for serving a köttbullar-salad wrap on top of the hill. The relaxed atmosphere with nice chat along the hiking trip rounded-up this day perfectly, so in my eyes i can fully recommend to book this trip.
Fun and easy hike through gorgeous nature. Bobby, the guide, was very kind and knowledgeable, sharing great insights on the forest and Sweden in general. The cooked meal and snacks were delicious and served at scenic vistas overlooking the lake.
It was a rainy cool day when we do the activity but it was worth it. We are in a small group of 5 including the tour guide named Bobby, who was a great story teller and had been to 6 continents. I hope that Bobby will conquer Antartica soon.
This hike was a great way to see the natural beauty of the terrain right outside Stockholm. Our guide Leo was easy to talk to and helpful. The lunch was yummy.
Great time in nature! Nice breakfast and light lunch. Good conversation and stroll through the forest.
I Enjoyed spending time in nature and would recommend if it’s what you want. It would be better if the guide had a clear itinerary for the hike. Lunch is also light so better have a good breakfast.
Leo is a really nice guy and made our walk a great experience. He picked us up and brought us to the nature Reserve and it was like walking with a friend. He showed us a lot of beautiful places aside from the main track, we dicovered nice lakes and watched some wild animals - if you want to have a nice walk through the swedish nature this tour is highly recommended!
I joined Rene for a hike in the nature reserve near Stockholm. It was thoroughly enjoyable and a great introduction to the Swedish outdoors. We cooked outdoors on a campfire, and Rene has a focus on sustainability and taking care of nature in all that he does, from the food we ate to the utensils we used. He was also full of information, well prepared, and the trip ran smoothly and on time. The scenery was lovely - we saw two peaceful lakes, forest, and even a few deer.
