Although we aren't very good at English, Stefan spoke slowly and carefully. We are elderly and it was our first time in Stockholm, so he was very considerate of us. Thanks to him, we had a wonderful day. We are truly grateful. Thank you.

Itinerary
Stockholm is spread across 14 islands, where freshwater meets the Baltic Sea and neighborhoods are linked by bridges and waterways. With a local host, you experience how the city connects in everyday life, not just how it appears on a map. Before your experience, you will complete a short Personalization Form so your host can design a route shaped around your interests, pace, and curiosity. Here are some places your host may include along the way:
Gamla Stan is where Stockholm began in the 13th century, and its layout still follows that original footprint. Narrow alleyways weave between closely set buildings, where worn stone and tight corners reveal a city shaped long before modern planning.
At the center of Gamla Stan, Stortorget is framed by tall merchant houses in deep, distinctive colors. This compact square has anchored daily life for centuries, and its scale creates a setting that feels both historically significant and quietly active.
The Royal Palace, with more than 600 rooms, defines this part of the city. Surrounding it, wide streets and open squares create a sense of order, where formal architecture meets the steady movement of modern Stockholm.
Monteliusvägen offers a clear view of how Stockholm is shaped. From this elevated path, the city stretches across water and islands, with rooftops and spires layered in a way that reflects both its geography and its design.
Södermalm reveals a more contemporary side of Stockholm. Once a working-class district, it now blends independent shops, creative spaces, and residential streets, creating an atmosphere that feels lived in, evolving, and distinctly local.

Very informative and interesting to learn about Stockholm and its history, as well as up to date information regarding the city
Had a great tour with Stepan - only 2 hours but filled with terrific insights into history, architecture and the flavor of Stockholm — also gave great dining recommendations
This walking tour was customized to our preferences. We wanted to learn about the history of the city and details about architecture. Zenid was outstanding in his knowledge and attention to details. This experience can be whatever you want it to be. Our guide, Zenid took time to explain details that we would have otherwise missed. I cannot thank Zenid enough for his thoughtfulness to ensure we had rest breaks, water, even took us to purchase a book. He suggested restaurants and other activities that were of interest to us. This was definitely worth the time and money. Especially, this was one of the best experiences of our trip. Zenid has many friends throughout the city that said "hello" and mentioned what a wonderful person he is. Thank you so much!
We had an amazing tour guide that walked us around Stockholm, answered all our questions, and helped us figure out public transport. Highly recommended!
Interesting information about history of Stockholm, Sweden, rulers and sights. Stefan is an excellent guide.
Stephan was kind, witty, and knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed our tour with him!
Wonderful experience! Lovely time and learned so much!! Stefan was awesome and we’d 100% spend another day with him!
Monika was an excellent guide with a non-stressful, relaxing and informative introduction to Stockholm.
We had a limited number of days in Stockholm, as we were only in town for a concert, and didn't want to waste time. Arranging this 2-hour tour was perfect, not only because we were taking seamlessly to historic areas that mirrored our interests, but our guide was a human Google of knowledge and pointed out beautiful spots for photos we otherwise may have missed. He met us at the hotel not only on time, but a few minutes early, and really maximized our time together. We left with historical knowledge and really felt like we understood and enjoyed the culture by the time we flew home!
A nice trip in Stockholm start with our guide Kerstin. She is a local resident with a lot of travel experience so she knows what is a good tour for the visitors and also got a lot of information about the city itself. During the three hours we visited many places in the city - starting from the touristy areas to the local favorites, also went shopping a little bit. Really appreciate the great experience and flexibility of this private tour and Kerstin is a great guide!
Zenid was a wonderful tour guide. He is so knowledgeable about Stockholm. And his journalist experience was great in translating Stockholm's history into interesting stories. We would not have been able to learn about the culture, architecture and history without Zenid's expertise. We had a great time and highly recommend!
This tour was a wonderful introduction to Stockholm. Our guide was very flexible and helpful prior to the tour via WhatsApp. We had a lovely walk near the old city while Bitte pointed out important landmarks and told us the significance of each.
Stefan was an amazing guide!! He listened to our interests and designed a tour that catered to that specifically. He moved at a gentle pace, offered a ton of interesting info, and really helped us fall in love with Stockholm. It was a great way to meet the city.
Our guide Zenid was excellent. He communicated with us before our tour and promptly picked us up at our hotel on our first afternoon in Stockholm. We walked all around Gamla Stan learning so much about the area. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We loved hearing about the history and seeing the buildings. It was the perfect introduction to the area. At the conclusion of the tour, he dropped us off at the restaurant where we had dinner reservations, which was nice and convenient. He also sent recommendations of what to do in the city for the remainder of our time there. Having Zenid as our guide is what made it top notch and five stars. Thank you, Zenid!
Stepan was terrific. He gave me a solo tour tailored to my interests with lots of history. We went into substantial depth and he was incredibly knowledgeable. He saw that I had a camera and then suggested some specific spots with good views for me to take photos. I would recommend him to anyone looking to see the city.
Great balance of historic knowledge and modern Stockholm. Plenty of things we would have missed just walking around on our own. Very friendly, fun guide.
Stepan led us on a wonderful tour, telling us about history, architecture, and culture. We wouldn't have found the stops, learned these things, or tried the delicious coffee and pastries had we been on our own. Additionally, Stepan was so great in communicating prior to the tour and accommodating our slow walking pace and we are so grateful!
My guide, Stefan showed me all of the highlights in this one 8 hour tour. He was effective in personalizing the tour toward my interests.
On our stay in Stockholm we had Stepan Peregonchuk as a guide. He was a pleasure to see Stockholm with . Stepan made the experience very memorable. His knowledge of the town is undeniable I would recommend him to anyone coming to Stockholm.
Very good overview of Stockholm and Fayez really knows how to see the most important places you want to see, recommended
Our guide was friendly but unprepared and not very knowledgeable. With the exception of discussing meeting details there was no correspondence. The experience was underwhelming and mostly discussed things not related to Stockholm.
A good guide makes all the difference! Zenid was very knowledgeable, had a bagful of trivia and a great sense of humor. We had a lovely 4 hour walking tour, and thankfully a sunny day with great views of the city from vantage points. I would highly recommend this tour!
We enjoyed the architecture… especially Solderman; which was a ** key ** interest for taking the tour and a little of the old town. We also saw some Nobel prize art installations. Thank you to Monika, who is a multi-talented local.
Fayez was super engaging and passionate so we had a great time! It was informative and interesting for everyone
Magnus was an amazing tour guide. We took a great walk covering all possible places full of history even though they might be some hidden gems of Stockholm that many don’t know about. As we rested for a bit for lunch and had coffee breaks it was great to learn about Swedish life, get recommendations about Stockholm sights as well as recommendations about travelling to other places in the world.
Zenid at City Unscripted was a great guide whose knowledge of Stockholm and its history was wonderful. He introduced us to the city in a way that allowed us to explore it further the next day. He is truly an exceptional guide. You will not go wrong with him.
Not much seen ... 45 min via metro/walk to get to graffiti park (through a pretty park) then 45 min back to a closed museum. Luckily we passed a church that I asked to go in and enjoyed. Ended with seeing 3 metro stations. The good was I learned how to ride the metro.
Our guide Sofia was wonderful. Gave us lots of great information and the food choices were perfect for us. We really enjoyed this tour!!!!
Sari was a wonderful guide for our family. She was knowledgeable, great with our kids, and very flexible with our schedule. We highly recommend a tour with Sari!
Sari was great, we did a two hour tour mostly around Gamla Stan. Sari was knowledgeable and helped us to understand the area and the history of Stockholm. We had a great time, learned a lot, and took some fantastic photos along the way. I kind of wish we had booked a longer tour, but enjoyed our short time together.
Amazing tour with Sari as this tour was just what we wanted, interesting and out of the way places that peaked our interest. Delicious food and great conversation with Sari! We would highly recommend Sari as she is very knowledgeable and easy going and will cater to your desires for an exceptional tour!
Magnus was amazing in providing us a walking tour of Stockholm. We only had a few hours during our cruise stop and Magnus helped maximize that time. We travelled into center city, and Magnus met us and took us to all the normal tourist highlights, and made sure we saw many "off the beaten path" areas. We would highly recommend him as a guide for a fun and interesting day
We had a lovely walking tour with Magnus. We covered a lot of ground in a shorter period of time & got to see several different neighborhoods with the focus being on Gamla Stan, including some beautiful viewpoints of the city. Magnus was exceptionally knowledgeable so this is great for folks who are interested in the details of the history of Stockholm. There was also a good mix of "hidden gems" including beautiful Gamla Stan streets with few visitors. Great experience!
It was our first time in Stockholm. We stayed in Old Town and, of course, booked a tour of the area. Sari was knowledgeable, personal and fun to be around. With her guidance we had a wonderful time exploring the city.
My son(12) and I and another father son set out for a food and drink tour in Galma Stan. It was incredible, Sofia did an amazing job of sharing the history and culture of Sweden along with some amazing conversation and food choices. Highly recommend, she went above and beyond!
We had a truly personalized tour with Fayez, visiting Stockholm's eco-community, a graffiti village, and a premiere local art gallery in the commercial core. All along the way he provided insights into the cultural, social, and economic development of the city and answered our many questions. Fayez was knowledgeable and personable and helped us see many things we wouldn't have on our own!
Fayaz was an excellent guide - friendly, well spoken, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an introduction or even a deep dive into Stockholm and Swedish culture.
Eddine did an excellent job planning and leading our private half-day walking tour of Stockholm. He carefully customized the tour to suit our interests (e.g., history, architecture) and was informative and enthusiastic throughout, eager to answer questions. He was very accommodating, meeting us at our hotel, and accompanying us on the metro at tour's end to a location that was convenient for us. Throughout, he was pleasant company. It was a most enjoyable afternoon. Highly recommended.
I cannot say enough about Zenid. At this time of year in Stockholm, we started off in the dark and walked through old town over to Sodermalm and didn’t miss a thing. His knowledge is so vast and I got so much out of it that from now on when I come back to start home, I will want every tour done only with him. You are lucky to have him.
It was a bit cold in December but we had a great time. Very good overview of the city and a better understanding of the food and culture. I would definitely recommend the tour.
Sari took us on a tour that introduced us to Stockholm in a informative and fun way , we throughly enjoyed our tour with Sari!
Sari, did a great job adapting to our specific requirements for places to go. We had been here for a few days and had seen some things already so it was good to not have repeats. This is an advantage of having a private tour that you can adapt to your specific needs. She has good knowledge of the city and could share some of her experiences of connecting to Stockholm. This was very helpful.
We had a wonderful time on our food tour of Stockholm with Fayez! The tomato fish soup was our favorite!
Tal provided a very good introduction to Stockholm. He was very personable, pointing out interesting, historical and architectural details, and how they help shape the city today.
The weather was cloudy and rainy, but Zenid made Stockholm shine. Funny, kind and smart, Zenid is a pro. Walking around Stockholm with Zenid was like exploring the city with an old friend who happens to be an expert in the history and legends of the city. I enjoyed two other tours during this visit to Stockholm, but I learned more and laughed harder with Zenid. Highest recommendation.
Sara was a great guide. She understood exactly what we wanted and took us to unexpected and amazing places around Stockholm.
My guide Monika took me to some great off the beaten path locations that standard group tours don't take you to. She filled me in with a ton of excellent local knowledge and history. Monika was a pleasure to be with and our conversations were very satisfying. Thank you. I highly recommend this tour!
Gabriel went above and beyond to make our group have an authentic experience exploring Stockholm. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Having a local take you around there city is the best way to experience it!
We enjoyed a very enjoyable tour with Fayez. He was flexible and helpful when there was a mix-up with our pick-up location, traveling across the city to meet us at our port. We were interested in history and architecture; he was able to answer our questions as we walked around beautiful Stockholm. I just wish we were there longer!
