Michael, our guide, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Stockholm and all the hidden gems for us to see while here. Highly recommend!
Our guide was fantastic. Knowledgeable and eager to share. We highly recommend him. The Vasa museum mind blowing.
Our guide, Emma, was very knowledge and a marvelous storyteller. Brining history to life in her presentation. Very accomodating in every respect.
Emma was an excellent guide. Excellent history. Great pace. Highly recommend. Easy access to the Vasa Museum was worth the tour price.
It was wonderful seeing the square, Old Town, the Royal Palace and the many other things along the way. Also going to the island with all the different museums was awesome. The Vasa Museum is amazing!!! We could have spent hours there. Seeing the ship that had sunk and was brought up years later was breathtaking. And then all of the exhibits of items from the ship that were displayed gave a true insight into things on the ship. The film showing how the ship was found and brought to the surface was fascinating!!! Definitely worth the time. I would definitely recommend a tour guide. Had we not had a tour guide we would have waited probably for hours to get in. The tour guides have a special entrance. Well worth the money!!!! There is also a nice amusement park on the island and many, many places for food and drinks. I highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic tour hosted by very knowledgeable Zana. Was a great way to see a lot in a short time. Good way to find places I wanted to explore in depth. I was very happy they still had the tour even though I was the only participant.
We began our 3-hour tour with a stroll around the Old Town accompanied by interesting tales of Stockholm history and culture narrated by our extremely well-informed guide, Gabriel. He made history come alive with detailed and entertaining stories of “how it used to be.” Our walk was followed by a boat ride to Djurgården where we visited the maritime Vasa Museum to explore the warship of the same name that sank in 1628 on its maiden voyage. Had our schedule not been so tight we might have also visited many other museums including the outdoor museum Skansen, located nearby. This is also where locals frequent the Gröna Lund amusement park. Indeed, upon arrival, as the boat approached our destination we could hear the screams of roller coaster riders experiencing a momentary, but expected, thrill. Whether you visit the Vasa Museum on your own or with a private tour guide (as we did) it is a MUST see. However, I believe the $102.84 per person price tag for a personal tour guide gave us a much more thorough understanding of what happened and why, a truly fascinating look into a brief time in Stockholm’s history. There are a few lessons to be learned here.
This tour gave a nice overview of Stockholms history. Of course, the Vasa museum was a must see and having a guide made it even better. It is a great way to explore and find things you may wish to explore further.
Emma gives an enjoyable tour. Good mix of history and other stories.
Wonderfully informative history walk with a guided (must see on any itinerary) Vasa tour included. Great rain or shine.
Peter was absolutely amazing. As a retired historian who worked at the Vasa museum we felt like we had an unparalleled historical tour off Stockholm. He was so polite well prepared with pictures and historical references. the tour also starts before all the tourists are out so it very peaceful. An absolute must we were blown away with this tour.
Our guide Peter, was fantastic , he knew so much about history of Stockholm & Sweden, about Old Town, and about the Vasa museum and ship. We learned a lot.
Nice experience, the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very funny, it worth money expended it
Great tour with Af Ki! Learned so much and felt like VIPs throughout. Very knowledgable and funny - definitely recommend!
Olaf was great. he knew how to schedule the stops and add some customized touches that made the overall tour great
My husband and I had a great experience walking the old town with our guide Tobi. He had a wealth of knowledge which he imparted with humour and passion. We learnt so much and gained a real appreciation for this beautiful city.
Christoff was a wealth of knowledge. He provided information that was new to me. I loved the Vasa museum. It is an unbelievable experience. I would highly recommend this tour
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very good-natured. He made our walk through the Old Town truly memorable experience. The climax, however was the incredible VASA museum. The ship was beyond my expectations. Our guide enriched the experience again with his impressive knowledge of historic details, adding color to all of the many exhibits. Thanks, Christopher!
Fantastic opportunity to learn history of Stockholm and Sweden from a highly knowledgeable native who loves it
Mike provided an excellent, tailored tour of Stockholm walking through a number of historical sites, the Vasa museum, and the town hall including a ferry trip. Mike gave wonderful commentary and was helpful through the tour. We highly recommend him.
Very good tour including walking in old town, taking a ferry and then visiting Vasa museum (which is a must). Our tour guide Assa was witty, funny and knowledgeable, providing not only historical factual information but also an insight into the current state of Swedish society. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Hands down an excellent experience. Our tour quite Nickolaus was exceptionally informative about the Vasa Museum and Stockholm. Such a beautiful day to walk around Stockholm and learn about what this city has to offer. Highly recommend this tour!
Without a doubt, this was the best city tour that I have ever taken. Asa was an amazing guide with a seemingly limitless knowledge and understanding of the history of Stockholm. She is extremely engaging and interesting. She was warm and welcoming and treated us as if we were family. Thank you for an amazing experience!
This tour was fine. It really didn't cover a whole lot of ground per se, just a lot of standing around, so I do wish that it had covered more. More than a few minutes with a guide at Vasa was too much, really just need an overview, then time to discover Vasa on your own. I would not start with Vasa, you'll want to spend more time there.
Amazing tour with an incredible guide! Thank you Karin! We really enjoyed the Vasa Museet and walking the beautiful streets of Gamla Stan.
We had a rough start to the tour when the instructions said to meet at the “anchor” at the Vasa Museum but there in fact there were anchors in 2 locations. One in front and a 2nd on the dockside behind the museum. We arrived early to the front of the museum via the dockside path. We did not see an anchor in front so we went to the dockside location. We waited for 15 minutes after the appointment time & returned to the front where we saw our guide Emma by the other anchor which was only partially visible at the museum entrance. This was frustrating but Emma apologized for the confusion and the tour began. The Vasa Museum was amazing and she gave us a real feel for the Vasa’s history & background at a rather fast pace. From there we proceeded to the ferry and Old Town. I was apprehensive about this portion of the tour but Emma took us to numerous points of interest with very thorough & interesting explanations. She was a very fast walker which challenged us but it meant we were able to see more points. Due to the delayed start Emma continued the tour as compensation which we appreciated.
Charlotte our local guide did a great job representing the area with abundance of history as well as current knowledge. The boat ride wasn’t necessary . Vasa museum so impressive
The 4:00 pm tour does not give you enough time to see the Vasa museum. On top of not having enough time scheduled for the museum, we lost 15 additional minutes waiting for 4 people that never showed up. The museum piece was very rushed and disappointing. The rest of the tour was informative and our guide Nicholas took us to some out of the way places.
Had a great time. Very informative. Be sure to have your walking shoes on. Stockholm is an interesting town and this tour gave us a unique view of it.
We really enjoyed hearing more of the history of Stockholm and especially touring the Vasa ship! What a fascinating story! Emma was very knowledgeable and made our tour very interesting and informative!
We had a great time!! Emma was our guide and she was fantastic! Incredibly knowledgeable and funny. So glad we booked this tour. We would highly recommend it!
We have called and booked the private tour of 8, at the end we had about 28 people in tour. they advertise private tour but other people get added to it.
Very pleasant walk and knowledgeable guide. Made for a great intro to this wonderful city! The Vasa Museum is a must see!!!
Cristina was a great guide and had a thorough knowledge of Stockholm. She knew the routes and areas well and we didn’t feel like we were on a canned tour.
Karin was an exceptionally engaging and informative tour guide. She had a lighthearted and entertaining personality. She knew the right spots for coffee and pastries. She took excellent care of us whether walking, on the ferry, or through the museum lines.
This tour was so informative! Our guide Jawed was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and was a pleasure to spend 3 hrs with. He covered all of the old town, took us on the ferry and then to the Vasa Museum which was amazing!! I highly recommend this tour!! It was advertised as a group walking tour but in the end it was just my husband and I, so we had a private walking tour which was unexpected. Even if it had been a larger group, it would still have been a great value for the cost. So glad we took this tour!!
Jessica is a very likable and knowledgeable tour guide. Our tour was interesting and enlightening and exceeded expectations.
Katrin was the absolute best tour guide especially for this tour. She has a personal connection to the Vasa Museum and her passion for all things Swedish made it that much better. I definitely would recommend taking this tour! My friends and I had a blast and learned so much!
Just straight up stood us up. No warning, cancellation…anything. Waited 30 minutes in the cold. They claimed they “forgot.” Yes they refunded us but it killed an evening in Stockholm we had reserved for this. Look elsewhere for more professional companies.
Calle is an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable. He showed/told us a lot of things in the olde towne that we would not be able to find on our own.
The guide was super. Very knowledgeable and answered all questions. However, it was a bit cold in the morning so recommend to do the tour when it is a bit warmer.
Da wir nur 2 Paare waren, war es eine persönliche Privatführung. Sehr schön und Informativ. Jeder Zeit wieder!
Guia sensacional, simpática e paciente . Museu do Vasa é incrível , espetacular. Já o museu nórdico deixou muito a desejar, não possui nada dos nórdicos e sequer dos vikings , uma decepção mesmo
